I wish it got the Mafia 1 remake treatment. I never played Mafia 1 until the Remake and loved it. 2 is better and has more to do and spend your money on. Love the story of both. Loved the main character and the side characters in both, but 2 is a little better, IMO.. A remake of it would be great

I don't think many people think Sleeping Dogs was poorly made in any way GTA copy or it's own game. Never heard anyone say it was badly made. It is an open world, but it's unique, and the fighting, handcuffing people, putting people in the trunk, environmental interactions during fights, the double life aspect all that was a cool and fun experience

Quantum Break is a really underrated game. I played it when it released and instantly loved the game-play. Now when I look back at it, it is one of the best Remedy games. Quantum Break was the foundation for future Remedy games like Control and personally I liked it more than Control.

Man, I miss playing Dying Light. That game was so fun. Even better when you play co-op with three friends. As for this list, I'd be tempted to try LA Noire or Sleeping Dogs.

Being someone who loves open world I loved most of your list. I would add Mafia and Just Cause 2/3. The mafia series & sleeping dogs have definitive editions that upgrade graphics.

I've played some of them and had an amazing time. I'm planning to play Quantum Break soon. Since it is a Remedy game my hopes are high but I've heard that the episodic content is too long around 20-30 mins at a time. I'm hoping that it doesn't get annoying.

when you use time rush.. the music breaks into bits and goes into this ethereal sound then comes back again when the power goes out. such a small detail but absolutely makes you feel so freaking cool! the most hated game for no reason. a gem of a game.

A game series I could recommend for everyone is definitely Yakuza/Like A Dragon. The games are mostly in Japanese but have english subtitles (and some of them english dubs). Anyone who enjoyes beat em ups or turn based games should absolutely try it!

An older game I really love is saints row the third. Hell I prefer it over saints row 2 because sr2 has aged extremely poorly in camparison. The sheer amount of stuff you can do in saints row 3 blew my mind in 2011, and it still holds up today for me, kinda like gta san andreas.

Recently played Mafia 1 (got the trilogy collection). I actually liked that it wasn't a proper open world. The linear mission structure kept the story telling tight and was just what I needed after falling off some overly bloated Assassins Creed games.

Watch Dogs 2 is unappreciated, the open world is beautiful and vibrant, the music is incredible especially the main menu song, the characters are unique and likable. Watch Dogs 2 crushes the first one!

WATCH DOGS 2 definitely has more features gameplay-wise, but the first one has a way more realistic, immersive story with a believable and interesting protagonist. Yes I know many think Aiden Pearce is a very bad character, but the whole team in 2, sans T-Bone, feels like hipsters who has no purpose in the story at all.

ugh, good luck with that. It requires some online trophies and well, online is dead and it will require you to grind A LOT. Single Player aspect of the game still is great!

I’m finding myself going back and playing games instead of playing new ones. Still haven’t gotten into Cyberpunk. But I just downloaded ghost recon wildlands which was on sale. Been hearing good things about it all these years later. Tried out breakpoint and didn’t like it. Here’s hoping.
