Yep exactly bossman! 🤝 Linear games are the best thing to play when you just want a straightforward fun experience rather than doing repetative stuff, did you find any interesting games from this list?

Well, I like to think of myself like a true gamer, the only ones on your list that I haven't played are Max Payne and Firewatch. I've played the others, but I havent finished them all.

I like building a character up and these games can tend to be over just as they are getting good. Side quests can be unique and good at times.

You can on a xbox series s though. I bought a series s to play my favorite ps3 games in this gen.

But they don't have MGS4 😩

@@issi529 It's not only the graphics to be honest, it's also the exploration and immersion. When played as a shooter it'll be a shallow experience, but playing in survival, scrounging for ammo, taking the world in slowly, is really something special.

@@johananj.j8003 I really didn't liked it. It was way too slow like you mentioned. The open world felt very dull and the gameplay was very wooden.

@@issi529 But that is your preference, not the game's fault. The game is supposed to be slow. The world is supposed to be bleak and hopeless. The gameplay isn't wooden, unless you play like a normal shooter, the survival difficulty is where the game shines.

Well, technogy can't grow so fast forever. For thousands of years we had small technology improvements. Then suddenly we have huge leaps and jumps in the span of one or two generations. But it was obvious that eventually it has to come to a hold.

Witcher 3 is far from a linear game lol its very much a open world rpg that takes around 300 hours to 100%

@@PixelDragonOfficial I played most bar the VR games, I believe their was an Until Dawn spin off, Rush of Blood i think it was called & The Inpatient. The remaster or remake of Until Dawn is coming though developed by Ballistic Moon I read, apart from giving it a fresh coat of paint i think they are adding new twists, will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Control Isn't linear. You get a lot of choice in where to go and the order you complete things, as well as there being plenty of activities that send you back exploring through the oldest house on your own time. Some sections of the game are linear, but the game as a whole is not.

@@PixelDragonOfficial What happened to Joel is akin to what the Suicide Squad did to Kevin Conroy's Batman .. Having all the bells and whistles in the game but lacking the soul of a good (non political driven) story is a deal breaker for me personally That includes Gotham Knights... imagine a Batman game without Batman lol Ppl can spend their time and money where they want and believe the product is a really good one (including SW: The Last Jedi lovers)..Each to their own .. I'll personally stick only to TLoU 1 Just my cent's worth

Comparing Batman and Joel makes no sense... The context for those characters are so different.. Joel is my favourite character of all time but he deserved what he got (in the eyes of Abby and many others etc) + Even Joel knows he's a terrible person for what he did during the 20 year time skip (even his own brother who's no softy left him out of disgust). Batman on the other hand is a literal hero who saved everyone and did nothing wrong... He did not deserve to be shot down like a rabid dog. Lastly Batman arkhams world is dark but it's not even remotely as dark as TLOUs world which has been set up since the VERY BEGINNING to be a story and place where nobody cares about your feelings and you will die no matter how much you "don't deserve it".

@@PixelDragonOfficial well it's because I was appalled by reading linear but to be fair I'm wrong as I'm a big fan of old school adventures which are linear by nature. So my mistake.

@@Tiktokcatch22catchTiktok Yes exactly, tbh Sometimes there are big open-world games and then there are straightforward linear games that follow a straight path the old-school ones you mentioned (depends on the mood, which you wanna play)
