Thanks a lot for doing this. I'm so sick of reviewers just talking about fresh and citric fragrances for summer with nobody talking about aquatics.Atlante by Sarah Baker supposed to be good also. Another one you might want to check out that won't break the bank is Molton Brown's Coastal Cypress and Sea Fennel.
Etruscan Water is an absolute beauty. Fresh enough for summer yet sits heavy enough on the skin for colder months as well. Dressed up for sure, but I think it could be worn casually by the right person. Great list, hope you’re doing well.
Akdeniz is indeed Turkish for “Mediterranean Sea”. Interesting mention, by the way. Makers of perfume for 18 years, that I have never heard of before you mentioned them a couple of weeks ago.
Great new ideas thanks. I really like Oceania, not familiar with the others but will definitely try a few. Also recommend Xerjoff 40knots as a long lasting, fabulous, complex aquatic.
Both Orto Parisi Megamare and Spirit of Dubai Bahar have reputations for being long lasting aquatics too, and I was half expecting them to be on this list. 🌊
@TLTG Reviews : go for Oud Minérale! I think it tops Mandarino di Amalfi or Neroli Portofino by having a more interesting scent profile… not sure yet about it being better than Costa Azzurra, the jury is still out debating that one (for a generic summer scent of course, not aquatics).
One of the recent aquatic I got which is also beast mode and lasts long on my skin is Kenzo Homme EDP.. Loving that one right now.. Oud minerale is another beast mode aquatic that lasts 7-8 hours for me. It was love at first sniff, and I bought a bottle (new signature bottle) of it immediately I smelled it, and then got a back up bottle 😅
Great job Justin, I just picked up Osaito last week and love it. Also enjoy Oud Minerale. Would suggest Oceania, Bois 1920 Oltremare and Beach Geeza Ocean Water
Good call on the Acqua Dell'Elba Classica. I was looking to replace a D&G Light Blue Eau Intense I had blind bought but never loved. I wanted better citrus and more green aromatics. The Classica was perfect. Nice citrus, nothing revolutionary, just good and dries down with a soft green, kelpy musk. I had to blind buy it due to expensive shipping on small sizes, and free shipping on a full bottle. I don't like making that gamble often but it paid off. Have you tried any of their other fragrances? I'm considering a discovery set some day.
You guys should hold your fire! One doesn't need to go big before one enjoys a good long lasting aquatic imho. For those of us on a budget, I simply recommend (and actually use) Bvlgari Aqua Atlantique Pour Homme, a beautiful smelling Fougere - wanna - be sweet aquatic, that has both sweet and salty marine vibes. Another one I use and which is actually long lasting is Armaf Club De Nuit Milestone. I forgot about it after a test spray for almost a year. When I tried it again recently I was wowed by both the strength, smell and performance. 2 sprays that night almost choked me! It is one of the best salty aquatics I have in my collection. Now I can see why George The Fragrance Apprentice was talking about it! By the way, the comments section today is priceless. I thank you guys for the great inputs. Great video J. C., as always. My regards to Madam Fresh Squad. 😊
Oud Minerale is one of my absolute loves. Sometimes I’ll even put a spray on before bed because I find it so beautiful, chill, relaxing. It just always reminds me of my favorite place (Carmel, Monterey area).
Got around to watching this video after the exchange on your other video and i very much appreciate this list, I like how you have many different style of "aquatics" as I find Acqua Di Gio to be kind of boring at times still nice but generic in a way to me, but a lot of these do sound very interesting and fresh for the hot weather. Once again thank you for the great videos I'm looking forward to trying some of these out.
Loving it Justin and yeah I could use a good aquatic and Tom ford Oud mineral or Sarah baker Greek keys sound great always loved being around the ocean ...almost feel like taking a trip there now...cept I'm on break at work
Oceania is indeed really nice. Depends on your definition of long lasting, but it's around 7-8 hours IIRC. Akdeniz is crazy strong, nice to see it get some mentions. It's definitely not a typical aquatic.
Tom Ford's Oud Minérale sounds a bit like a shipwreck. I never imagined a shipwreck could have a scent associated with it. Color me intrigued. Sarah Baker's Greek Keys sounds awesome and I like the logo on top of the bottle as well. Very pleasant and friendly design. The others all sounded great too, but I shouldn't elaborate since fragrances shouldn't be just about compliments. :P
Cool shirt Justin 👌 Also luv the way how you skillfully elaborate aquatic scents. To me still an enigma how the reviewers understand the concept of dirty and dark scents...interesting observations though)))
So glad to hear you say that about performance. So many people are looking for room fillers and I would hope the trend is not going in that direction from pressure from many in the community. Today I am wearing London Spice and it sits close to the skin but lasts all day. Exactly what you would want from a professional work scent
I am pretty sure I had someone bait me posing as you. The message came at like 3am and it said message me right away at telegram me with an avatar of you
the door creeeek.. i wasn’t ready! 🤣😂🤣😂 i’ve not tried any of these fragrances but i’ll purchase some samples for sure… while i’m waiting for the camera to focus on your FACE! Y’all have a stunning view way up there! 🤯 Gorgeous day too!
Hello Justin, how are you? Thank you so much for the great video and list. An Aquatic that last that works for me (especially where I live) I made the mistake of wearing Mugler cologne Fly away and it was 100 degrees outside. I went to a store and everyone could smell me I'm sure 😆 that cannabis note was kicking off my skin and people were whispering I would do that again but I do like the cologne. Stay safe brother and hi to Grace!
Great video. Maybe it’s just me but I find TF Oud minerale to be a pretty easy going scent. It does have that Smokey salty undertone but I have gotten so many compliments with it that I think it appeals to a decent audience. That said, I appreciate you always cautioning us and pushing for samples. I started collecting less then a year ago and I have already learned my lesson and can appreciate the advise.
like an idiot, i disregarded Tom Ford's "Oud Minerale" for over a year after it was first released. please do not make the same mistake i did by smelling it on paper - it's mild sweetness, depth and roundness only shine-through on skin. although it doesn't often get considered an aquatic, my favorite ocean-esque fragrance is "Black Caviar" by Electimuss and i wear it year-round. also, for the daring and adventurous perfume enthusiast; please try "Bahar" by Spirit of Dubai (a strong scent, but only a mild aquatic), and "Ocean Oud" by Ramon Monegal (the strongest and boldest aquatic i've ever known - it took some getting used to, but it's an amazing creation). thanks, Justin!
St. Barts a is great cheapie. Definitely synthetic but it’s so cheap you can spray a ton on and it’s not overwhelmingly strong. It projects just enough to get whiffs here and there. Definitely one best suited for hot summer days in the sun!
Love Oud Minerale, Oceania is decent. Strongest aquatic I have is Amouroud Wet Stone, it’s a favorite. I discovered Profumum Roma Acqua Di Sale, Zoologist Seahorse, and Kierin NYC Pier NY this year. All perform exceptionally well off of my skin.
Yo Justin, have you checked out Tauer Phtaloblue?! Very unique oceanic, beast mode blue fragrance. I think you'd appreciate it. It's got some fennel and musk, making it stand out amongst blue fragrances, both niche and designer
One of my favorite aquatic scents ive smelled was the og bvlgari aqua before it got reformulated. What fragrence matches this the closest? I dont think they make the aqua the same way anymore. It has way less depth and smells really generic now. The og had such a natural smell and depth to it that made you feel like you were on the beach. Not creamy, made you feel like you are slightly wet all day.
Wait wut? So Oud Minérale is expensive, yet Oceania is a perfect summer scent? I think they are both head turners, to both the scent AND the pocket where one keeps their wallet… Also, the “Telegram me” bot that is plaguing the comment section is annoying :( It’s not Justin and I think he is getting tired of it too.
@@stayfreshproductions I have tried the original cool water and it reminded me of the ocean, I've not smelt anything like that before :) I'll get ahold of them and let you know what I think :) have a great day
I sampled TF Oud Minerale... and Justin is right.. sample this one first... to my nose it smells like a piece of wood that had been floating in the ocean... and very authentic... not for me
Can you give me some suggestions for some fantastic ambergris? I went for Stephane Humbert Lucas ~ O Hira per the scent profile on fragrantica but man, I do not get Amberbris from that fragrance. I love it, but not what I have been looking for. So far, Penhaligons Lothair is treating me nice, but I'm looking to see what else is out there. :)
@@stayfreshproductions so interesting, I didn't get the ambergris scent from Amber Aoud but I am going to put it on again. I fully admit that my nose needs training. I appreciate you responding!
@@stayfreshproductions Okay. Lathered up with Amber Aoud last night. I think I get lost in the sweet spices/woody notes with the bit of rose. Hhhhmm... I LOVE it though. So glad I have the Roja Dove sample collections. (Great Brittan is super yummy)
cant believe even with summer fragances you refuse to name or name designer brands brother, and when you do ( rarely )i feel some kind of guilt on your tone because i think you are afraid to anger the niche snobs elitists, you are good looking, a talented musician, everything that these niche snob basement dweller old bald weirdos are not, dont let them keep you from liking mass appealing fragances, even if you deny it ive been watching your videos for the past year and in every video i can feel the bias stronger and stronger.
I am not pressured by anyone. I simply try to talk about the fragrances that I love. I'm not moved by most of the designer aquatics out there. I've smelled hundreds of mass-appealing fragrances over the years, and I'm looking for more interesting scents now.
My man you need to always, always mention details of LONGEVITY for every fragrance which that's what all your viewers WANT! 🤦🏼♂️ Good vid nonetheless!
Yeah I stopped the video and unsubscribed when you said you don’t care about performance. This is number one for me. No offense, enjoy your St. Barts and other clown fragrances that last literally five minutes.
…I am baffled that a subtle difference of opinion spurred you to do that. I’m curious…do you stop talking to your friends if you have a disagreement about an inconsequential issue? To your logic…if fragrance is ALL about performance, then it could smell like vomit, soil, or even nothing at all…but as long as it lasts, that’s what matters? And St. Barts lasts 10 hours on me. Do your thing bro. ✌🏾
