The game LITERALLY tells you about every single thing on this list.. BLATANTELY too. Not hidden away or in some secret menu. It genuinely teaches you all of this stuff.
Want some tips ? -Use fire attack with Alphen to do damage first then combo with artes and auto attack to do a finish combo ( Alphen's fire attacks are not very good to keep the combo going most of time ,they're here for pure damage ) -Play in manual you have more freedom ( don't touch the left stick if you want to hit precisely your ennemy , but you can still evade during artes or combo thanks to the manual who let you change direction during artes ) -Keep your weapon , there are upgrade later - don't think " oh, this artes looks cool " or "wow big damage ", think more about combo like a fighting game - if you want better score to drop better, play in higher difficulty and kill ennemy with finisher - more combo means less cast for spell artes
Adding to this have it least one aerial art that brings you back to the ground instantly so you can keep your combo going once the enemy severability falls to the ground. Read the info about the items, especially if you are a returning player, don't be like me and realize mid game Orange Gels recover CP in this game.
@@azurastar3223 Thats why i said " Think about combo" , you need to have artes who can connect with each other no matters where you are Orange gels are probably the most important thing, i've never use so much orange gel in hard mode
@@Elyakel I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just thinking about combos based on my own experiences. Some players in at mostly for the story or new to this type of game might not think about that. I was trying to spring board off what you said. I always play on easiest mode first time around, for story, then go hard. I got to the end before I really had to think critically about fighting. Cant wait to replay it and take it slow and experience the combat to its fullest.
@@azurastar3223 no problem I didn't take it badly xD You'll see the hard mode is pretty good especially for the first run (without ng+ bonus ) except the 2nd Lord who was the hardest for me (I'm actually in front of the last dungeon , can't tell what happened next )
You can change characters mid battle by holding L1 and pressing the directional pad button of the corresponding part member rather than doing so in the pause menu mid battle.
For the skits; if you miss it. Or didn't see the R2 on the bottom. When you camp. Go to Reminisce. Any skits you missed will be highlighted with a diamond next to the title to let you know that you haven't seen that skit yet.
My tip: set up a strategy where all your character just do nothing and run away from the boss, and turn that strategy on when boss is on over limit. no blocking this game so basically boss do one shot when they turn on over limit
No man all of these tips are explained in this game In pop up boxes and tutorial windows. This is a bs video. They just wanted more of that ad revenue.
You can't in this one, that is why people are complaining. Beseria had a slider where you could turn down or off the combat call outs. This game doesnt let you adjust it at all.
Personally I find them usefull Even in japanese I can understand what they're saying so I can hear shionne heals everyone , it's pretty usefull in hard mode
I have a rather strange gripe with this game. If you are really good at fighting and understand the mechanics enough to fully implement them, the battles just end too quickly! Making it more difficult to experiment and discover new Artes.
People talking about how all these are very clearly said but does nobody realize they probably know that? They got the views lol, not everyone cares about being truthful
@@brettiwejor5936 Xillia has a better story than Vesperia. I don't know if it's debatable as far as Berseria goes cause that's good, but your opinion is your opinion. I found Vesperia pretty average and I played all the Tales Of Games in the entire series.
@@SolisOfDreams same she’s I’ve played them all and I think tales of vesperia story is better than xillia. Duke pantarei is a better villain then gaius and gaius is one of my favorite characters
I’m pretty annoyed that Bandai have delays for the collectors edition, but luckily they had the common sense to send out free digital download codes to people so we can play while we wait on the collectors edition to come.
If you buy this game get the ultimate addition with all the costumes. Or you will be missing 3 skills and 3 skill trees had to just buy all the costume packs packs I found out for buying the base disk.
Yeah repeating artes does penalize you in regards to damage output, however it does raise its overall efficiency and eventually unlocks stronger artes.
Bruh, I'm about 9 hours in and you telling me I can use the other characters to fight, let alone switch during combat? 🥲🤡 I feel like I made this mistake somewhere before smh
Glad I read comments first. Don’t waste your time with this….. This basically for people who are not reading the basic instruction the game offers…..literally step by two the game offers you all this info………. I’m all in support for content creators but this is just lazy……
In all fairness, Xillia 1&2 and Beseria had the better combat to me in terms of pace and not too much chaos. This one and Zesteria both are more chaotic to me especially when trying to really strategize fights.
This video isn’t true at all, every single one of these “tips” are well explained in the game. Smh. Just an excuse to put out another video to make more advertising $. It’s kind of manipulative and sh*tty.
I really dislike videos like this where what is going on in the video either has absolutely nothing to do with the topic being discussed, or if it does, the narrator isnt talking about what's going on in the video at all, to help explain what they're trying to teach/talk about. Like in the over limit/mystic artes section, the entire time he's talking about mystic artes, we only see a single mystic arte being used, snd he doesn't talk about what he's doing in game to set it up/show us exactly how to do it. In videos like these, the video part of what's going on is incredibly distracting from what the person is saying, so I had to rewind a few sections of this, to focus solely on what he's saying because the first time, I was trying to pay attention to the video and his voice at the same time because I thought he was going to go into detail about what he was doing on screen and etc, but NOPE! 😅 I'm not trying to like, bash the poster or anything, because this is far from the only video I've seen that does this, and maybe I'm in the minority here, I just find it doubly hard to take in the information the poster is trying to teach me, when the video that's playing has nothing, or very little to do with what's being discussed, and is just kinda there, distracting me because I'm trying to watch for what is being said lol. Also, everyone else is right, all of these are covered in the game and I feel like I wasted my time watching this video 😢
I’m going to repeat what the guy below me said. THE GAME TELLS YOU ABOUT EVERY SINGLE THING YOU’VE MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO! LMAO click bait title. Sigh.
I was curious. Glad I saw that gameplay at the beginning and know they penalize you for spamming. I should be able to play any way that I want. Now I know not to buy it.
NO! Don’t repeat the same arte within four moves, not don’t repeat move more than four times lmao! God this what happens when you rush videos out. Man sad these videos are getting useless
I grew up on JRPGs... but im starting to find every character talking all at once during a battle to be irritating... i mean, it's like being in the middle of a crowded street filled with noise pollution... crap - im getting old. That's all it is.
Amen to that. Oddly enough, I think that's why I gravitated towards Dark Souls in recent years. I appreciate the more solemn experience, even if the difficulty can be crushing sometimes. All the silly banter and screaming during battle never appealed to me per se, but I could tolerate it in some games. Now it's a big factor in me NOT choosing to play a game.
Telling us to bond but be carefull who you choose but tell us nothing why that choice is important and why to choose one over the other.... What a useless video.
Do all enemies in this game stand idle for 5 minutes and attack once every halfan hour with slow af easily dodgable attack?? Gameplay looks too easy. If I bump it to highest difficulty will they attack more often? I play lots of sekiro and dark souls like games on hard as possible (yes, you can make some souls like games harder even like belland charm items in sekiro) so will this game be boring for me? I don't really like mashing on the enemy 25 times till they stand afk, reminds me too much of mmo like combat which I hate. But it looks and feels like it's fluid enoughand satisfying to try. I just hope enemies later on attack more freaquently so I have to dodge more often then just spam attacks on combos on them.
If you want a souls like, stay far away from tales series lol. It's mostly flashy, spammy battles, tho it does get deeper later on and boss battles need more strategy
This game literally has the worst combat I’ve seen. Dodging is basically impossible with all the shit happening on screen, basically impossible/ non existent tactical teamwork ( like how in dragon age you can order teammates to attack certain targets using certain attacks), and just all around bad. Story is pretty solid though.
Does the game tell you how to shut off the annoying voices in battle? If I have to listen to that mess during every battle, I don't think I could stand playing the game.
@@shaunlucky9645 3 hours in. The battles are ok so far. But as you gain artes, you can't use them, so it's a big fail not being able to use more than 3
