No to backpacks unless you are going hiking. The destroy the look of a jacket and make you look like a schoolboy. Alternatively use a messenger bag or a brief/attach case. A gentleman should limited jewelry to a nice watch, a wedding ring, cufflink and possibly a tie bar .

Buy a watch made from titanium. It has a density less than steel so for equivalent volumes the titanium watch will weigh less and it has a yield strength greater than steel ie more resistant to scratches.

If you think a phone case adds something to men’s attire or appeal your bar is set pretty low. Does the model and brand of phone matter too? Back packs? Really? When I’m in top hat and tails I always carry a back pack. I guess men don’t wear cuff links, tie or lapel pins nowadays. Diamonds rubies sapphires and gold are out and phone cases, back packs, and scarves are in. It sure is inexpensive to dress nice these days
