Fraser Powell thank you!!! I was legit thinking whole time watching the vid where that game would fall on the list and when it didn’t I was disappointed!! It was such a good game and I had such a blast playing it!!
One of my favorite childhood games on the ps2, I got that game on my 6 or 7th birthday and had so much fun playing it. Should've definitely been on this list or at least mentioned
YasoTheSandMan stop playing that shit on easy then and you don’t mash the triangle button because you actually have to time it lol maybe if you actually played it you would know
One thing I really loved about the Deadpool game was that there's a section where you had to jump on text bubbles, and I think they also would collapse, as well Edit: Oh, and also getting to slap Wolverine for half an hour, just amazing
@@yourboy4005 Personally I didn't like Second Son even a little bit. They made it feel super HollyWoody if that makes sense. That and they went with the generic route of making a sad story which is way too common now. The thing i loved about the first two was their stories were extremely intriguing. Everything with Kesler and the Beast still has me thinking to this day. Second son also just didn't seem inspired at all. Every power type were all just reskins of eachother
Dude I love that ultimate alliance 2 placed so high. That was one of the first games I played several times over and it pretty much got me into gaming. And the Arkham games cuz those are all amazing
I used to love reading them back in the library back in secondary school. Lol I was also a little shit, I used to steal them, had a collection of underpants books.
I wasn't scared. You can't have "best superhero games" without mentioning the Arkham games at least once. Then again they weren't gonna have half of the list be Arkham, that wouldn't be fair to the other enjoyable games. I knew they'd mention at least one of them nearly the end of the video, since it's one of THE best.
Tbh I dont know why people dont like knight that much. I mean yeah, I have heard about the disastrous pc port but objectively speaking, isn't it just a bigger Arkham city?
Personally, I’m not too fond of the Arkham games. I own them all, but in my opinion they’re all extremely boring. The combat is lackluster. There are constant artificial game lengtheners. It just isn’t an enjoyable experience to me.
Ultimate alliance the first one is my favorite I beat it so many times it was just so amazing to play literally as every super hero and form your own team as well as getting different suits I just love it so much
I dunno, I thought the Punisher on PS2 was pretty awesome for its time...Executions, flashbacks, and never forget that bullets feel like mosquitoes to the Russian :D
@@CommanderCalins1 Couldn't agree more, I was hyped when I heard one was coming to PS3 in 2009, "No Mercy" I think it was called, but turned out to be a store exclusive and has since been removed due to licensing issues. Never got to play it :( The next game that gave me a Punisher feeling was Max Payne 3, played the shit out of that one :D
1:39 - I remember the coolest move for me, was grabbing a huimanoid enemy, running to the top of a skyscraper, and divebombing with the enemy down on the first plataeu of the skyscraper, then flipping around, doing another dropattack to the next level, and then the next, and the next...The amount of awesome animation in this combo move was staggering, but I have YET to see anyone on youtube show it off or bragging about the work that went into that. Such a great game.
@@jpobi9880 Personally I prefer Prototype 2 in terms of story as well. Alex Mercer doesn't feel relatable, nor does he have any real motive that I can discern outside of "I wonder how I got powers?" James Heller at least has a reason which is realistic albeit a simple one.
Its so depressing that after my comment, yours is the first I've seen that mentions the greatest X-Men game of all-time and the series that Ultimate Alliance owes it's existence to. My roommate and I loved putting together all the different teams and unlocking the corresponding buffs.
Well they did hit with Marvel Ultimate Alliance which basically came from the Xmen games. I think MUA 2 was the best of them due to the story of the game.
some of the best times of my childhood was playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance and the X-Men Legends games with my homies. I sucked at games but the co-op made it so i didn't have to compete
Littleleafers YES ! The first one was even better. Over that, the Darkness games do qualify as ‘superhero’ games due to their comic book roots. You sir, have good taste.
2:04 Infamous is absolutely a superhero game. The devs made sure to include the Comic Book themed story telling and variety of powerset to make sure it was undeniably that. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about. Sure you can pick a good or evil path but that doesn't mean the game isn't a Superhero game.
They did remake Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 but they were quickly removed because now the roster is owned by several companies. That's why we can't have good things anymore
1 is the superior game and feels more like a comic book. Not sure what Gameranx is talking about. 2 was definitely a let down although it was still great.
@@bptboy2 I agree. The game was fun but the story was weak and the choices were just plain. No thought necessary. I also like the original voice actor for Cole more than the guy in the 2nd ine though I have to admit, the 2nd guy did a fantastic job. I even like Empire City over New Marals too.
X-men on Sega. I never beat it because i didn’t know what to do on the mojo stage. Press and hold reset or something like that. But that was a great game
I know Ultimate Alliance is just a bigger, more inclusive X-Men Legends, but how are we not even gonna mentions it and/or Rise of the Apocalypse?! For Shaaame!
@@paulofrota3958 Kinda is a anti-hero game. They put Deadpool who's the most popular anti-hero there is. Just saying Protoype one and two shoulda been on here.
I really like the open world in Arkham knight it is so immersive and detailed paired with awesome graphics and this is a perfect combo. Plus, you can use a badass bat mobile/tank
The punisher will always hold a special place in my heart. Getting to go through those levels killing criminals in absolutely brutal ways made you feel like a total badass. I still remember feeding a guy to piranhas and running away from the Russian.
Punisher NES. such a badass game. Every night of my childhood was ended with punisher and super spyhunter on NES. Game over screen after game over screen. But always went back for more.
ManWithoutMercy Easily the best matrix game man I bought it at a car boot sale (basically British equivalent of a yard sale) and ended up buying an Xbox just to play it - Easily the best gaming related decision I made to this day
Hear me out, Saints Row 4. (While the game took a serious dump on everything Saints Row is supposed to be) It is an incredibly fun over the top super hero game with lots of powers.
Well I really expected prototype to be on this list. The game had awesome mechanics, interesting abilities and offered an experience so unique that you can't find anywhere else. Prototype is really underrated :/
How Batman Returns for the SNES didn't make this list is shocking. The TMNT arcade game was also a classic. "welcome to die" is also a classic from the XMEN arcade game. Why that isn't on this list makes me wonder.
@@DanteSuper95 it is a great game and I still wish we could get another one, because it is a damn great game even if it is combat system got buffed nerfed kinda
Man the fact 3 isnt being made or hell even a comic book to continue the story or branch off really depresses me. Like there was so much there to make a great comic book story but we only got two like two games sadly
I really thought PROTOTYPE would be on the list. i know in Prototype you are not quite the "hero" but considering that infamous was on the list i hoped for it ^^ anyway great video keep it up
