This game just really needs Mod support. I don't care about the twenty DLC Packs with one new building each. Gives us the freedom to make this game better and add loads of new content for free like Cities Skylines.
@@jamesbrice3267 The UK and most of Europe, oh and most of Asia, Russia and the Middle East have 4 or more lane roads... so no, America isn't the only one i'm afraid.
Actually Im more worried about people still living in shacks when I build the proper type of housing for them next to their jobs and they're still living in shacks half way across the map. Im glad they pushed back the release date. Lots of work left to do on the Pop AI
Since the 3rd Tropico game we've basically got the same game with a few new buildings for a full price. So here I'm Saying to El presidente I'm going to Pirate this one! Viva la Thepiratebay:)
You’re right, I was extremely disappointed when I saw it. You would expect more this is just like the predecessor, and they even haven’t got a tram. 😡 The islands are smaller then in T5 and we still only have a ridiculously low amount of population.
I've played Tropico 5 for 3 years and when I saw T6 and it's diverse buildings i decided to make the center of Sofia - the capital city of the country I live in and see how happy the people are. I'm still building - it's hard but interesting.
I was thinking the same ! They renamed Garage to Parking Deck and it gets into the "biggest and best changes in tropico 6"... Same definition : Your population and tourists can go into the garage to get a car and drive to work or drive around your city...
Tropico 4 is sucky without the Modern Times expansion. If the base game + expansion is too expensive, it's better to get Tropico 3 Gold Edition, which is better than the T4 base game and costs the same. Also, I think Tropico 5 is better than both, but opinions vary on that one.
Heeey, the photos are in colour now! I look forward to playing it when it goes on the 90% sale in the complete edition 3 years from now! This is one of my favorite series because it consistently takes religion seriously. My favorite way of building is to make a highly religious and benevolent presidency-for-life. Why would your people want to elect anyone else when you show them a foretaste of the World to Come? If they were real, I should hope my efforts lead to the salvation of most, if not all, Tropicans!
i only have 1 question. the most important question in every tropico game. what about penultimo? is he even funnier in this game? penultimo is what keep the tropico franchise alive!!!
soo no real changes then. I hope the economy makes some sense, in the last one it didn't and the idea of people just leaving their jobs for no reason bothers me because in the last one all my industry would just stop for no reason and these kind of random events which you have no control over and almost seem like glitches..well they make you question if its worth all the effort and time to build a large economy.
I want no more shacks! Or a edict to ban shack. does my head in when I have a large amount of empty, free* houses and they park up a shack right next door >:(
And it's now Mars 2019 and honnestly a lot of the feedback doesn't seem to have be implemented in the beta, sadly. (of course it's possible the changes will be in the final).
tbh, not to be that guy, but, It looks super dulled down. Tropico 4 was so amazing you had to plan everything. This looks super small and a looooooooot more easier with less micromanage. The micromanage was amazing because just like a dictator it's extremely hard to do it. that's the point. I feel like the humour has gone from "paradoy/ironic" to just cartoonishly goofy. Not to mention the maps look small that it honestly looks like they're planning on releasing on mobile. If that's the case, then you can guarantee that there will be microtransactions/multitude of DLCs. But, I hope the best for this game. I fell in love with the series - specially as I began learning spanish, it felt nice to play.
Great video, thanks. I'm super excited, particularly about the pirates because I still miss Tropico Pirate's Cove... but since I have a Mac... still waiting!!!!!
Tropico has turned from a fun city building game where you roleplay as a dictator and shape your Island into what you desire into a full force political strategy game. It's a game where you no longer play to have fun but simply to beat the objectives of the game. I'd had hoped they learned their lesson from Tropico 5 and make the new game more like Tropico 3&4, instead they branched out from the political system of Tropico 5 and now the game is simply a game of numbers. You are NOT an actual President, you are a DICTATOR!! That's what Tropico is about, you're simply using your Presidency as a disguise to siphon money to your Swiss bank account as much as possible. You're not there to make the life of Tropican a happy paradise you're their to suck their money dry while using all the cheap tricks and frauds and even military power to make sure you stay in power, you're not there to solve all the whiny factions problem and make them happy like a little bitch, you're not there to run around kissing superpowers in the ass you build a nuclear warhead and say to their face "you mess with me I'mma nuke you all!" like Fidel Castro. You're not there to build a paradise you're there to build Brasil, with fancy resorts for filthy rich tourists on one side and favelas of shacks for poor miserable illiterate Tropicans on another and a wall in between. That's what being a dictator is about!! Stop all these political shits and give me back my dictator tropical!
I do love RPS and all but I wish you guys put news out on apple news as well, yeah ik I'm that guy but hey. Also I really hope this one is more fun than tropico 5. I felt the move from 4->5 was kinda bad apart from adding wars, I'm hoping this will be more of a jump feature wise but the maps look way better for sure.
Once you added all the DLC, I think Tropico 5 almost became the equal of Tropico 4 - without expansions. Glad I bought Tropico 5 Complete for $10, and 4 for about the same. I enjoyed both enormously.
what i want: better diplomatic gameplay. i want a massive list of countries i can create embassys for like japan south korea canada mexico, and others. i want things to keep going after i make it to modern times id like some kind of random-ish thing to generate countries at war and countries being removed. also i want to be able to make tropico a world superpower.
LOL! I'm pretty sure you haven't played 1 or 2, otherwise you wouldn't be saying that. T2 is pretty different from the rest of the series. And there was a major change in gameplay between 1 and 3 with the introduction of cars. Also, 4 changed the economy by allowing imports, and its Modern Times expansion changed things even further with subways, high density housing and farms that don't deplete the soil. 5 made a major advancement by having multiple missions on the same map with your progress carrying over, and it also finally gave us sensible farm fields. The eras were also a significant gameplay change, and the Waterborne expansion added floating buildings. So I don't understand where people are coming from with that weird complaint. The different iterations of the game are not more similar than different iterations of other series. Is the fact that it's the same setting throwing people off? Also, Kalypso had nothing to do with the first 2 games, they bought the IP much later.
@@SovietReunionYT I played T5 last year and the experience felt like when I played T1 like... I don't know, 15 years ago or so. I've played T1, 2 and 5 so far. All the changes you mention are minor improvements between titles in my opinion. There's no significant quality of gameplay experience between 2 titles of this franchise to justify a new title. What's the big difference between T6 and 5? Heck, as I said, I've played Tropico1 and 15 years later played the 5th title and felt no different. T6 it's T5 with minor cosmetic surgery and T5 it's T1 with 15 years of aging flavour. Every title it's just an expansion or an upgrade of the previous, there's just no major overhauling to justify calling them sequels. is kallypso actually profiteeing from the Steam sales of Tropico 1 & 2 still? Then Kallypso it's selling the game even if they weren't the original publishers, aren't they? So when I say Kallypso is selling the same game over and over again all I'm saying it's that kallypso is selling the same game over and over again. T2 it's indeed a different gameplay experience than the rest of the series but since it uses the same engine it should have been an expansion or DLC instead of a separate title. And since it's as bore as it can be, maybe that should have been better. I'll stick to what I said: I like Tropico, it's a fun game but I'm not going to play along and pretend that minor changes are a whole new game.
Good work on your mic audio. It's very crisp and clear. Maybe slightlyyyy sibilant? I'm listening on some fancy dancy headphones so that's probably why I'm noticing it.
It's fun to be a brutal dictatorship but what if I wanna make an actual hands off socialist utopia is that possible? Or does it only let you be a dictator?
This is just a DLC for Tropico 5 and nothing more. Too bad they jumped on that cash cow train. Looks the same, played the same and no major improvements over tropico 5
