Regarding #2 (old audiences): A few years ago, I took my youngest son to a piano concerto (Beethoven's 4th) because that's what he actually wanted for his 8th birthday! We were standing in line for the bathroom at intermission, when an elderly man in front of me turned back and said "Wow, it's so nice to see young kids coming out to enjoy classical music!" I beamed with pride for my son, and turned to my son so he could see me beaming...... Only to notice that he had already left the line to 'check out' the snacks ---- the man was talking aboue me!!! (I was older than 45)

Please, we've got string quartets, wind quintets, brass ensembles, solo instrument sonatas like piano sonata or Bach's Cello Suites, solo instrument concertos with full orchestra, symphonies, oratorios, large choir works, small choir ensembles, operas and their overtures. We've also got six dynamic markings, five different instrument families, each of which has their own unique sounds and can produce up to four different timbres each (unlimited sounds for percussion). We've got fast movements, slow movements, moderately paced movements, and and at least 7 different regularly used tempo markings, and use 3/8, 3/4, 4/4, 2/4, 6/8, 9/8, 2/2, 12/8, and many more time signatures. No. 4 still gets to me: "Geniuses are born, not created." Wow! Bach walked 250 miles to hear Buxtehude. Mozart had Haydn as a mentor. Einstein had Talmey... Even the brightest minds ever had some help, and they practiced, they spent countless hours thinking, writing even mentoring others... Potential geniuses are like seeds, they won't grow without water and sun. Both nature and nurture.

I enjoy classical music since I was 6 or 7 y.o. but then my friends were judging my music taste and started to distance themselves because I was different.. I felt like I had to follow their interest so that I can play/ hangout with them. That thought haunt me till recently. Now that I have supportive friends, and I watch your channel regularly, I feel totally okay to express my love of classical music to my friends and loved ones. I had a Latin teacher who loved classical music. He also taught literature. We could chose a literature module to follow each semester (four teachers so four modules). He decided to do a module about classical music with the focus on Bernstein (the composer from Westside story). His module was so popular that more than 30 students (the maximum) enrolled so not everyone who wanted could follow his module. Around the time the module was finished, an orchestra playing Bernstein's music was in our city. So the teacher bought 10 tickets for students who would like to go there. He had to buy ten extra because twenty of us wanted to go. I was sick that day, slept the whole day, had head ache, everything. Didn't eat anything. But still went there, no way I was gonna miss that! Concerts are usually quite expensive here. As a student you get some discount, but even then tickets are like 35 euro. I'd rather go to the cinema three times with that money (and still have some left to buy popcorn with). But now that the chance was presented, we all took it with both our hands! I think that this shows very well that classical music is also popular among the youth and not only for bald and old people!

Yes I’m an older person! I’m in my fleventy-bleventh year! My kids are 23 & 25 but I’ve been rocking out to Beethoven since I was 3!!! I fell in love with Rachmaninoff and Mozart and oh Mendelssohn…. And DEBUSSY!!! Wow….. stunningly beautiful. When I hit teenage I became a bit dark and began my goth years! So I added The Cure to my playlist. And Mahler, Prokofiev, Shostakovich! Then I found Philip Glass! Holymolycrispynoodlefairycakes! So yeah I don’t listen to *boring* music!

Vivaldi composed for the girl orphanage String orchestra to perfor in Venice churches for everybody. Much of Schuberts music was made for the samll venues, the home, the tavern, for singing while wandering or traveling.

The first "classical music" i ever heard was the Sibelius violin concerto😍. It was an old recording my grandfather had, i think i was in 3rd grade by then. As expected , i fell in love with this piece and the whole genre. Been listening to alot of pieces since then. Not a musician though. So Eddy if you ever drop that Sibelius, regardless of when, i would really appreciate it coz it is the piece that introduced me in classical music. 😘
