I'm very shocked that Vince pulled Cody & Kaitlyn with "He could do better. she's not that hot." As a guy known for judging aesthetics and with a fondness for Bodybuilding It's weird he didn't understand the appeal of a buxom muscular woman, especially considering Kaitlyn's face was plenty pretty. Now I understand why Natalya kept getting lousy gimmicks or forgotten.

Jeff Hardy and Trish Stratus is another pairing that would fit this list. They tried it a few times, most notably in 2003 shortly before Jeff was released from WWE for the first time

The first time Trish broke her ankle so it was cut short (2001 right after invasion). Torrie actually won a paddle on the pole match on Raw, which was right they performed a segment where the two women argued about Jeff 😭

Nothing personal against Nikki and Brie, but ugh at Vince's weird fascination with The Bellas being the be all/end all answer to everything for a long stretch of time in the 2010s. Amazed he didn't try to push a lesbian incest angle with them too, at least that we know of.

I believe they were trying to do a romance angle with RVD and Stephanie when the Invasion was happening but he shot it down because he wasn't interested in that kind of angles/storylines.

It's crazy to look back at just how bad Vince was at booking women. Like the Attitude Era was bad, but it wasn't even 10 years ago that AJ Lee, the nadir of women's wrestling, was nothing more than a batshit crazy slot. Vince still doesn't realise women can be more than just the love interest, the creepy old pervert.

how about Trish and Christian, she slapped Jericho to leave with Christian, they kissed on the way out.... and i believe that was about it. Kurt Angle and Stephanie, triple h cancelled that one.. Test and Stephanie?? they were in the middle of a wedding, triple h crashed the wedding, and (at that time) she hated trips... but she didn't really seem to care about test anymore either? (and eventually sided with triple H anyway) mark henry and mae young... thankfully that was cancelled.. does he ever visit his son the hand?? (that was so stupid)

Knowing WWE at that time and the fact they were just starting to get out of their Attitude Era phase, I don't think it was canceled. That was probably the intended conclusion where it was all revealed to just be a fake out and bait for the audience rather than a real plan that just got scrapped
