New and returning racing circuits are always a hotly anticipated and much discussed topic in pretty much any racing game, including GT7, so with that in mind here are 10 tracks which I (ft. my girlfriend) believe have among the best chances of either making their Gran Turismo debut in GT7, or returning from older games in the series...

The big problem about Seattle from what I understand is that the some of the streets they used to create the layout are no longer the same as they were when PD first created it. So even if they were to try to bring it back, it would be a lot different than it was. Even though it would be a "fictional" track, I think they would still want to laser scan the streets for realism purposes. The layout would be dramatically changed.

With the partnership of IMSA, GT will gonna add some US Circuits like Road Atlanta, Road America, Sebring and CotA maybe next year. I do like the original street circuits to return like the Tokyo Route and SS Route 7.

Some of those might have license agreements with other games. Forza motorsport 6 had almost all great US tracks. COTA isn't raced in IMSA.

@@racer14glr91 IMSA may well hold the licences for some of those tracks. Or have worked out a deal with those who do own the licences. I do think, if this is an actual partnership between PD and IMSA instead of a 'for show' kind of thing we will definitely see at least a couple of tracks that IMSA uses regularly.

@@SimRacingKnightmare I won't totally disagree with that, but I would think the track owners have the contract and control. SRO races the same tracks. Watkins and Laguna say it's not exclusivity, it's probably just allocating resources to scan and modeling them. I don't expect anything with PD. I would see Road Atlanta. That's a big deal IMSA track. Petit LeMans and all

I personally hope that Grand Valley comes back. Many years ago I used to hate the track because of how I felt about it. How long it took to complete one lap of it. lol Not to mention all the tight turns. I've come to appreciate it now, and I'd love to see it return.

Honestly I know this is definitely not a chance of coming back but just imagine if El Capitan,Hong Kong,Tokyo R246,Special Stage Route 5 and 11 all came back. It would be insane. And I’m pretty sure we should be getting a track this months update. Hopefully it’s something good my highest hopes are Goodwood hill climb and Pikes Peak possibly since they teased it in a post on instagram

This was my guess before the game came out, but I've always been a huge mark for Eiger Nordwand. It has a fun, scenic tarmac course and an epic rally circuit with multiple layouts.

Pretty solid list, in fact I believe Apricot Hill will be the actual track added later this month. Personally, I kinda wish it was Grand Valley, but I have a feeling we'll not get it this time. Apricot Hill would still be a very welcome addition though.

Midfield, Sebring, Road Atlanta/America and Silverstone would be at the top of my list along with maybe a street circuit like Long beach. I think having more American tracks would be nice, as right now it feels very biased towards Japan and Europe.

Smokey Mountain from GT3. Was an awesome split between dirt and asphalt. Grand valley would be awesome. I would really like more races, something other than le mans, tokyo, or sardegna that sits around 20-30 minutes and can make decent money

In terms of OG tracks, I think it'd be great to see tracks like Eiger Nordwand make a return to the series. Not just because of the dirt / tarmac split for some layouts, but because racing on street circuits and closed off mountain switchbacks used to add a lot to the game I think. Just how road stages like California Highway on Project Cars 2 had a special feel about them. Is unlikely given the current focus on 'proper' circuits, e-sports, etc - but lots of great memories on those tracks.

Another historic track is MOSPORT (Canadian Tire Motorsport Park) in Canada 🇨🇦! Hosted early F1, INDYCAR, NASCAR, IMSA of all classes as well as Touring Car. A very high speed track with incredible elevation changes and high speed corners! And it’s my home track!

I haven't even finished the video, but wanted to say that Monaco can go and do one! It is so undeserving of any racing in in this day and age because its more of a parade circuit rather than a racing circuit. More people want the Goodwood hill climb with relevant time trial challenge back over Monaco. (Edit, personal opinion here so just ignore me if you actually want Monaco ;) )

If you are really OG, in Gran Turismo 1, there was a short track to Grand Valley - Grand Valley East! I'd love to see that added as a bonus to Grand Valley, and would be a killer throwback! Also, I agree - I think Hockenheimring has a decent chance to see a series debut.

I think Sebring is more likely than you think. GT7 is now partnered with IMSA and they seem to be adding the endurance circuits from IMSA. And with Road Atlanta added, we are just missing Sebring...and technically Indianapolis.

I don't think any serious racing game can exclude Silverstone though I honestly preferred it back in the old 80s layout! Would love to see Twin Ring Motegi return. One I hated until I spent hours turning a Civic around there and I loved it ever since. I have never been a fan of the fictional circuits though I make an exception for the new Sardegna Road track - love driving that in a Gr.2 car! Monaco is sorely missed - many hours of fun racing online with my friends on that track. Loved to see you include Donnington Park - absolutely please!!! That or Oulton Park - fan of the old TOCA Touring Car series ;) Hockenheim would be awesome, especially if they included the old long circuit (with chicanes). Zandvoort would be an epic track too. Awesome predictions list though - keeping fingers crossed for some of them for sure! :D

Updates like Silverstone, Hockenheim Ring etc would just be boring as they're in every racing game under the sun. Much better to see the rarer gems. Kyalami would be great! Maybe a Phillip Island or Sydney Motorsport Park to get another Aussie circuit in there. Plus the GT Originals like Grand Valley, Apricot Hill etc would be awesome.

I think any original track has a good chance of returning. Gran turismo 7 was meant to take a step back, to the gran turismo roots and it will loved by fans and they don't need to worry about licence issues

Original circuit is unofficially scheduled to come next patch. two highest guesses so far is either Red rock valley or Grand Valley, 2nd likely is apricot hill.

My hope of hopes is that they just bring back each and every single track that they had ever done, over time. I’m not very good at making predictions… And the closest I might come to a prediction is “if it was ever in the GT series, there is always a chance you could come back because they have the base code for it… unless they redo any given track from scratch). My humble opinion is that there is a purpose for every track, regardless of size… Smaller tracks could be great for clubman races, as well as go karts… And then the larger races, of course, would be great for the GT/endurance, etc. One of my personal favorites was Grindelwald, but to be honest, I would be happy with any additional tracks added. With all of the things that they are working on (with likely a relatively small crew), it may be a little while before we see anything, but I’d never been bothered by them taking their time to do what they do. This is totally a guess, but one of the reasons why making tracks may also be a massive undertaking, is because maybe they are also trying to ensure that the tracks (as well as a Cars) are coded to support PS VR 2. Actually, I like Silverstone and Donington more than Brands Hatch. I know the latter is quite iconic and popular among fans but I've always felt that Brands Hatch is also on the Sunday Cup side, where you just cruise along with your car for fun, not a place where you could max it out. Of course, I can be wrong about it but that's how I feel about it. Oh well, none of the aforementioned tracks could make a bigger splash than the biggest absentee ever since GT5: Dunsfold. I highly doubt it will return anytime soon, for obvious reasons.

I still think Road Atlanta and Sebring will make an appearance in the game, contrary to your opinion. My reasoning, Watkins Glen and Daytona are owned by NASCAR, just like Road Atlanta and Sebring. Michelin is the official tire partner of GT and is now the title sponsor of Road Atlanta. Plus, Road Atlanta makes an appearance in the opening movie of the game, so my fingers remain crossed and I hope these tracks make an appearance soon.

Donington feels like a typical GT track, it'd fit. But I'd like Oulton Park. Played it in a game only once in the past, and I'm still in love. And there are some Aussie tracks that could do with a bit of attention, not just Bathurst. In fact, there were a lot of tracks in DTM Driver 3 that I'd like to see again, come to think of it. It wasn't a good game, but their choice of tracks was superb.

What about Cape Ring or indianapolis? Ascari is a fun track. And the karting space must come back too. Or an outdoor track for karting, at least something for karts. Its the foundation of filtering race talent. Isn't that what this game is about?! What definitely must come back is the track creator. I made nifty some lovely drift tracks with this one. Please keep posting vids like this to convince polyphony to add more populair tracks. Midway, Silverstone and Monaco should have been in there from the start to my humble opionion.

When it comes to tracks in GT, I would love to see older layouts of current tracks. I want to relive Ford vs Ferrari on the same course they raced back in the day,

All of these circuits would be nice.. But the only circuit and i mean, ONLY, Circuit i'll be truely buzzing about to make an anouncement and then make a come back; STRING COMPLEX CIRCUIT Where My GT3 O.G Players At?! I smashed soo many laps and hours into that one circuit

The Gt1-gt4 tracks were what made the gameplay special. Grand Valley, special stage, autumn ring, apricot, none of these should have EVER been removed.

I would love for Apricot Hill to return. Its a nice track for clubman type stuff als you mentioned but i think it could be coupled with challenging/longer endurance type racing aswell, in gt6 there was one race that was endurance-ish and i remember always struggeling with tyrewear on the front rights

Cool list! Lots of these definitely seem possible to happen. I made a personal list myself, and a few I included - so I’m glad to hear that there’s potential for them. I think Monaco, Midfield and Motegi are very likely. There’s hardly any Japanese tracks in the game, and with Motegi we’d get the 3 road versions they’ve used in the past and then the speedway as the 4th. Older tracks like Grand Valley, Midfield and for me RedRock I hope stand a chance since they are fan favourites. And considering how we as fans have been treated with GT7, poorly, I think we deserve some fan favourite tracks added!

Red Rock for the nostalgia. But grand valley, apricot hill, Seattle, midfield. oh man! Altho because we have Maggiore I feel like grand valley might end up on the back burner

IMO, Streets circuits don’t appear no more because the philosophy seems now to be 1:1 scale. Maybe representing cities by adding monuments on a small race feels to retro ? What images that is that the last fictive they created were St Croix & Sardegne, which haven’t this fidelity pb. The true pb is that those existing haven’t appear on sport mode for MONTHS now (the tokyoies one).

A couple of the new scapes are of the locations of the Long Beach Grand Prix circuit. That seems like a big indicator to me

I want Eiger Nordwand back. Those switchbacks were awesome it's just a beautiful track. plz PD!! also does anyone remember Circuito De La Sierra from GT6? super long time trial track and I miss it dearly :/
