The 10 commandments were carved into a stone and buried in an ancient Hopewell Native American mound thousands of years ago in ancient Ohio. There are Native American tribes which belong to the Algonquin and Iroquois families who have Hebrew words, customs and beliefs preserved in their cultures, and who say their ancestors came in boats from across the Atlantic Ocean to the eastern shores of what is now the United States and Canada.
Many Native American tribes still have Hebrew/Middle-Eastern linguistics/customs still preserved in their cultures to this day. Some of them are descendants from the people in the Book of Mormon. The ancient North American Mound-builder civilizations correlate with the people in The Book of Mormon. They built fortified cities the way those people did. They had metal armor and swords like those people did. They made mounds filled with human bones like those people did. They had ancient Hebrew/Middle-Eastern writings like those people did. They had some X2a DNA that traces back to the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern area where those people came from.
The Book of Mormon is a true record about a group of believers in God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, who left Jerusalem in 600 BC and ended up somewhere in ancient America. It covers the years 600 BC - 421 AD, and also includes a brief record of a much earlier group of believers in God and Jesus, who left the Tower of Babel (approximately 2200 BC) and ended up somewhere in ancient America as well.
There is plenty of evidence in North America supporting the Book of Mormon. Read the Book of Mormon and research the Mound-builder civilizations (especially the Hopewell and the Adena). You will find that there were once great ancient civilizations right here in the United States and Canada that you most likely had never been taught about in school.

@Darren Tobias Harris about only 10% of these native American tribes carry a small percentage of this DNA. The people in question are long dead. Rome and Egypt joined their armies and wiped them of the face of the earth and all traces of them. they were not even known to exist until about the 1930s. so all the questions your asking have nothing to do with the civilization I'm talking about. the colonies in the Americas were most likely wiped out with everyone else when Christians started coming over.

@Darren Tobias Harris Na. they carry a small amount of the DNA but most of their DNA is asian. These mound builders were not asian though.. They breed with local native American tribes a small amount though. So even with these Phoenicians. Most of them worshiped Ba'al and would sacrifice their own children to him, but a small amount of them were actually Hebrews.

My son was screaming in my face so i just sent the post without really reading what i said. But Hebrew were absolutely in America and Canada. I dont know anything about Mormons and i don't know much about native Americans. But one thing I do know is Phoenician and Minoan history. And they came to america no doubt. The copper from the bronze age was tested and matches the copper from the great lakes. So what that means is someone from the other side of the world mined the copper... and it was the Phoenicians. They were a merchant culture. They controlled all of the Mediterranean. They merged their culture with others just for the sake of trade. If the cultures are mingled the make things much easier. and that's what they did everywhere they went. If native Americans didn't want to mingle. the Phoenicians would have just wiped them out. Just like they tried to do to egypt. they have found sunken minion ships in rivers in Tennessee as while as other states. Im not going to debate anything Mormon related or things native Americans I just don't know enough. But i know a great deal about these Phoenicians. There is stonework in new Hampshire that they made that is still standing. The only people id ask things about this subject on are people who know more about Phoenicians than me. Or someone who knows a great deal about Hebrew scripture and the war between the Hebrew and pheonicians/Caananites.

In nineteen hundred, the Minoan culture was just recognized along with the Palace of Knossos in Crete, It took about forty years to get a real handle on the culture. In Nineteen sixty three a Minoan shipwreck was found with a full cargo a few miles off the Turkish coast. Remember the dates. During the "New Deal" back in nineteen thirty four , the Tennessee valley was going to get a load of hydro dams, so Government archeologists were called in to excavate some sites before they were drowned for good. What they found, didn't make much sense as they had no way of realizing what Minoan artifacts looked like, so what was a Minoan ox hide copper molds was called an alter and all the thousand or so artifacts were called American Indian, including the full sized copper ingots. The British archeologist said in his opinion the buildings were an Egyptian temple. Probably because the Minoans and Egyptians along with the Greeks had very similar cultures. All the artifacts on the shipwreck matched the artifacts found in the soon to be drowned American valley.the Copper after the analysis was found to be American. The Bodies buried near the American smelting site, were found with Minoan Petrographs.

Thanks Michael P for your EXCELLENT work! The Mesoamerican model is built entirely on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (narrow neck of land) and the east and west sea. The narrow neck of land and the east and west sea were not mentioned until 500 years after arriving in the promised land. This is because the Lehites landed in the Gulf Coast area and retreated northward to the hill Cumorah and Great Lakes region to escape the Lamanite wrath. It was over 300 years before the Nephites discovered the Mulekites. The east and west sea refer to the Great Lakes. The narrow neck of land is the Isthmus of Niagara. Niagara means "neck of land." It is 21 miles from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie on a line parallel with the Niagara River and the Welland Ship Canal--a very good candidate for a Nephite journey of a day or day and a half. It is 136 miles across the Isthmus of Tehuantepec and a 61-hour (7, 8-hour days or 5, 12-hour days) journey (3.3/mph) on the shortest road in the area. Without roads, it could easily take 3 or 4 weeks or more! After Lehi and his family had completed their 8 years of wandering (did they have some lessons to learn?), they arrived at the Indian Ocean. They called the large body of water Irreantum which means many waters. They were obviously familiar with the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea and Mediterranean Sea. This body of water was special and they built a ship and sailed into the many waters (ocean) and probably landed along the Gulf Coast near Florida. When they reached the promised land and stepped off the ship, they were still located in the "many waters" (now called the Atlantic Ocean). 1 Nephi Chapter 13 describes the Gentiles (and early explorers) in Europe being separated from the descendants of Nephi by the many waters (see 5 references to many waters in Chapter 13). Obviously, many waters is the Atlantic Ocean. Mesoamerican theorists call it the east/west sea which is totally bogus. If it happened in Central America, it would be called the east/west many waters, not seas. The scriptures also use the "great deep" and "great waters' and "the deep" (Jaredites and Mulekites) to refer to an ocean. See Abraham 4:10, 22. If it happened in Central America, it would be called the east/west many waters, not seas. It says 5 times in 1 Nephi 13 that Lehi's descendants were separated from the Gentiles by "many waters", not the east sea. This is an obvious reference to the early explorers and the Revolutionary War. The Mesoamerican model believes that the Jaredites, Mulekites, and Nephites all lived in or near the narrow neck of land about 600 miles long and 140 to 200 miles wide. How could the Nephites and Mulekites go undetected for over 300 years if they were all collocated in the narrow neck of land? How could they get lost in the wilderness if they had the east and west sea for navigation? Why wouldn't the east and west seas and the narrow neck of land be mentioned early and often if it happened in the Mesoamerican area? Because it took the Nephites 500 years to migrate from the Gulf Coast to the Great Lakes. It didn't happen in Mesoamerica. 1 Nephi Chapter 13, Verse 14 states, " And it came to pass that I beheld many multitudes of the Gentiles upon the land of promise; and I beheld the wrath of God, that it was upon the seed of my brethren; and they were scattered before the Gentiles and were smitten." In 1823, the SCOTUS ruled that Indians could not own land. In 1830, the Indian Removal Act started moving at least 5 major Indian tribes from the eastern US to Indian Territory. Over 4,000 Cherokee people died of cold, hunger, and disease on their way to the western lands. If this doesn't describe scattered and smitten (Manifest Destiny), I don't know what does. It didn't stop there in Indian Territory. These tribes were moved again to Indian Reservations and lawsuits over reservation boundaries continue to this day. In 1830, Oliver Cowdery, Peter Whitmer, Jr., Parley P. Pratt and Ziba Peterson were called on a mission to the Lamanites (1830-31). Oliver Cowdery preached to the Delaware Indians in Indian Territory (present day Kansas). During his speech, Oliver stated, "This Book, which contained these things, was hid in the earth by Moroni, in a hill called by him Cumorah, which hill is now in the State of New York, near the village of Palmyra, in Ontario county. " See History of the Church, Vol 1, p184, The Deseret Book Company 1973. Missionaries didn't arrive in Guatemala until 1947! Ether 15:8 states “waters of Ripliancum, which, by interpretation, is large, or to exceed all.” If this definition doesn’t match the Great Lakes, nothing does. It is the largest body of fresh water (20%) in the world and it certainly divides the land. Ether 10:20 states, “And they built a great city by the narrow neck of land, by the place where the sea divides the land.” Mesoamerica doesn’t fit because the land divides the east/west sea per the John L. Sorenson map. Clearly, the Great Lakes divide the land. How would Mormon or Moroni move all the plates from Mesoamerica to the Hill Cumorah near Palmyra, NY where Joseph got the plates (a distance of 2,275 miles--more if they followed the rivers)? Why would they expose themselves and the plates to the Lamanites who were bent on their destruction? There was a room full of records that Mormon abridged-several wagon loads. Whirlwinds are mentioned in the Book of Mormon. The US has more tornadoes than any other country in the world. Canada is #2. England is #3. Tornadoes do not happen in Mesoamerica. Before the final Jaredite battle, it took 4 years to gather all the people together (Ether 15:14). If they were located near the narrow neck of land in Mesoamerica (Isthmus of Tehuantepec), they could be gathered in 3 or 4 weeks. They were scattered across the face of the land and around the Great Lakes and beyond and gathered at the hill Ramah which is the same as the Hill Cumorah (near Palmyra, New York) described in Ether 15:11." Book of Mormon people followed the migrating buffalo which migrated back and forth between the US and Canada, mostly in the Great Plains region. There are no migrating animals in Mesoamerica except birds. Book of Mormon people strictly adhered to the Law of Moses until Christ visited them after his resurrection. This required the right plants and animals. These were available in America, not in Mesoamerica. After Christ visited the Nephites in America, he probably visited the people living in Mesoamerica and South America (3 Nephi 16:1-4) which would explain the legends of the great white god and Quetzalcoatl. Certainly, there were great civilizations in Mesoamerica. Unfortunately, their civilization has nothing to do with the Book of Mormon. Here is what Elder Nelson said at a BYU Devotional on 22 Nov 1988. See his talk entitled, “Thanks for the Covenant” at speeches.byu.edu/talks/russell-m-nelson_thanks-covenant/ . “Now, what of the promise of possession of certain lands? Territorial inheritance destined for the sons of Israel provided property in the Holy Land for Reuben, Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Gad, Asher, Dan, Naphtali, and Benjamin. But where was the inheritance for Joseph? From the Book of Mormon we learn that his inheritance was this land in the American hemisphere (see Ether 13:8)-identified as being choice above all other lands (see Ether 1:42, 10:28, 13:2; D&C 38:20). It was choice, but not necessarily from the standpoint of scenery or wealth. It was choice because it was chosen. America was to serve as the repository of sacred records written on metallic plates. It one day was to become the location for the restoration of the gospel. It was to host headquarters of the Lord’s restored church.” In the Sep 1972 Ensign, Hugh Nibley stated, “The Book of Mormon is a history of a related primitive church, and one may well ask what kind of remains the Nephites would leave us from their more virtuous days. A closer approximation to the Book of Mormon picture of Nephite culture is seen in the earth and palisade structures of the Hopewell and Adena culture areas than in the later stately piles of stone in Mesoamerica.” The Book of Mormon is true. It testifies of Christ. It happened in America, not Mesoamerica.

Bruce Lloyd… Your comments are extremely well written. It is hard to believe that the people working for Book of Mormon Central still cling to the Mesoamerica myth. One would think that the writings of Michael Coe, world renowned expert on Mesoamerica historicity, would have given them an honest perspective that the story told in the Book of Mormon “ did not take place in Central America”. The Stone Bowl might be the biggest clue of all! "A stone bowl was also found with the Decalogue, by one of the persons accompanying Wyrick. By Wyrick's account, it was of the capacity of a teacup, and of the same material as the box. Wyrick believed both the box and the cup had once been bronzed (Alrutz, pp. 21-2), though this has not been confirmed. The bowl was long neglected, but was found recently in the storage rooms of the Johnson- Humrickhouse Museum by Dr. Bradley Lepper of the Ohio Historical Society. It is now on display along with the Decalogue stone and Keystone. An interview in the Jan/Feb 1998 issue of Biblical Archaeology Review ("The Enigma of Qumran," pp. 24 ff) sheds light on the possible significance of the stone bowl. The interviewer, Hershel Shanks, asked how we would know that Qumran, the settlement adjacent to the caves in which the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, was Jewish, if there had been no scrolls. The four archaeologists interviewed gave several reasons -- the presence of ritual baths, numerous Hebrew-inscribed potsherds, and its location in Judea close to Jerusalem. Then Hanan Eshel, senior lecturer in archaeology at Hebrew University and Bar-Ilan University gave a fourth reason: ESHEL: We also have a lot of stone vessels. SHANKS: Why is that significant? ESHEL: Stone vessels are typical of Jews who kept the purity laws. Stone vessels do not become impure. SHANKS: Why? ESHEL: Because that is what the Pharisaic law decided. Stone doesn't have the nature of a vessel, and therefore it is always pure. SHANKS: Is that because you don't do anything to transform the material out of which it is made, in contrast to, say, a clay pot, whose composition is changed by firing? ESHEL: Yes. Probably. Stone is natural. You don't have to put it in an oven or anything like that. Purity was very important to Jews in the late Second Temple period. Carving it from stone is unnecessarily difficult, and would be justified only if stone were regarded as being significant in itself. Greetings MIchael; and thank you for this excellent video. We had a fellow in our Worship group who had purchased a replica of the Decalogue stone many years ago, and I had the pleasure of looking it over, it is something to behold and one must wonder about the person who took such care to carve so intricate a stone. His love for YHWH the Creator is carved into those words! Ater seeing that stone I ordered books by Dr. Barry Fell; and Steven M. Collins. Later adding to them, books by Yair Davidi. All of these trace the Lost Tribes of Yishra-El into the continent which became America long before our "academics" will acknowledge. The Hopewell and Adena peoples were the offspring of those original colonists of the Punic ages!

Your only half right...check how old the pyramids are in the Americas. Look for the island of California. And yes the Mormons are in Utah for a reason. Yes they lie but India superior is what you call north America now. The new world is the old world and remember Chris's words and the promised land.

Awesome video. I'm lds and I'm 17 and this year I took a anthropology class and I learned about the missippian mound builders and the Adena and Hopewell. I've developed a passion for this stuff. X2A DNA and thousands of bones are pretty good beginning evidence. Although something I also support is the idea of central America. Records of ancient Indians in South America tell stories of a white man with a beard with a staff and tablet who walked on water, taught love and compassion and called all the people his daughters and sons. Absolutely! Yes, there are legends of Jesus all over North, Central, and South America, as well as Pacific Islands, Japan, China, India. As far as the Americas are concerned, there is a great book called "He Walked the Americas". It's a collection of many native legends of Jesus in North, Central, and South America. The author was not a member of the church at the time she wrote it. But she did join the church years later. My personal belief is that The Book of Mormon took place in North America, but that Jesus went all over the globe to visit others after His resurrection, just as He told the Nephites He was going to do.

@@MichaelP_IsMe exactly my thoughts as well. Although the one thing that confuses me most is the narrow stretch of land almost sorrounded by water. This could only mean the yuchtan peninsula or central America as a whole. Yet we find no DNA of any there. What are your thoughts on this? Personally I don't know much. I'm only 17 and just started researching about this all and I find it extremely interesting but some things contradict like Israeli x2a DNA found in the hopwell Indian region and then the narrow stretch of wilderness. At the end of the day the Bible and book of Mormon will never be fully known because it goes against every rule of the Bible and every religious book in history. You have to have faith. Knowledge destroys faith.

@@Chris-yy5pj Lake Erie used to extend much further West than it does now. this would have created a bottle neck of land between lake erie and lake michigan so its my opinion that this was the narrow neck of land that led northward to the land of desolation, what is today the state of michigan.

I've been to a lot the sites on my own, but I plan on going with Wayne May this upcoming July (2020), because he knows tribal leaders in the Seneca nation in New York and his tour visits with them to listen to their history and how it relates to the Book of Mormon. Yes! Different states vary on the dates of when the Hopewell began in their particular state, but the oldest estimated dates are in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Iowa throughout the 500s B.C.. And most archaeologists are in agreement that the Hopewell ended in New York around 400 A.D..

Although Cahokia was said to be a later date than the Nephites time line, I wonder who made that assumption? There was a Hamsa found there and that is Hebrew, they also depict the natives there without clothing, yet it is shown there that material was found at the site. There was also pottery that dated to the Nephite time period. I believe the timeline there was set by the phylogenetic scientists.

We know that Europeans jews may have came with the first Europeans in the 14 and 15 hundreds. Who's to say that the missionaries of said people didn't give these to the indigenous people and they were found hundreds of years later... It is recorded that there were settlements up and down the Mississippi River where these mounds are, so this means these places and people were there during the time of first contact with europeans and their missionaries. Perhaps missionaries gave these stones to the people. Also it has been said that earlier people from Africa etc came to the americas long ago... who's to say that they didn't bring these things with them?

The book of Mormons is white people claiming to be Ephraim when we no that Joseph Jacob's second to youngest son was black. Shouldn't the wooden coffin have disintegrated before the coffin if it was thousands of years submerged in the dirt of a mound which was well above the freeze line meaning it would have been in constant contact with moisture?
