Kruu BYU ,how can I differ between work งาน and event งาน?
@byu99
@byu99 3 года назад
"ทำงาน" as a verb means "to work". You should attach "ทำ" in the front to make it becomes a verb "to do job". "งาน" as a noun means "a job or an event", for instance, "วันนี้ผมไปงาน" means "Today I go to (attend) an event."

When reading Thai, and there is a single ณ between words, what does that mean and how do you read it out loud?
@byu99
@byu99 2 года назад
First of all, you should identify ณ if it is an initial consonant or a final consonant. Simply saying, ณ appears in advanced vocabulary which are originally from Sanskrit language. ณ and น shares similar sounds so you can simply read it as น.
@meelee9137
@meelee9137 2 года назад
@@byu99 thank you, but what does ณ when we see it by itself? I am reading a book that someone gave me, and I see it but I don't know what it means because it's just one letter

“chang จัง” is one of final particles that is commonly used in Thai language. This particle has no meaning by translation. We add “chang จัง” at the end to assure stronger feelings and give cuter vibes to a sentence. 😉💕

Hello. May I ask that is it okay if use their sayings like "ngôh meuan kwaai" rather than "ใง่เหมือนควาย"? Or you just must? Please help me out how to study this effectively😣😭😭
@byu99
@byu99 3 года назад
โง่เหมือนควาย ngôh mĕuan kwaai "ใง่" is a typo. I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly but you should stick with the tone rules unless the meaning will be changed. Try not to use this phrase "โง่เหมือนควาย ngôh mĕuan kwaai" since it's very offensive!

@@byu99 Ah, I'm sorry. What I meant is that for example, if I want to reply or text do we have to use the Thai alphabet's (because I can't read thai alphabet's yet) I can only understand if it is romanized rather than using the alphabet. For ex , "bpai" instead of replying, "ไบ"? Is it acceptable?

@byu99
@byu99 3 года назад
Oh! Got you! 😁 This is an interesting question. Majority of Thais use Thai alphabets and may not understand Thai romanization. If it is possible, you can type in Thai. Don't worry if you cannot write Thai alphabets. You can tell your Thai friends that "I will write in Karaoke." Thais call the romanization "Karaoke"! Then your Thai friends will understand you.
