I do, too. It’s always out of my right eye and in the far periphery of my vision. Sometimes is a little closer but it’s always on my right side. Recently went to the optometrist and he could see a black mark floating around behind my eye. So it’s not an imagined sight (which is what I thought for appx 7 months), and then to have it confirmed was such a relief. Unfortunately there is no cure for it. Knowing it’s there has helped my anxiety but it’s still an unnerving experience when it first happens because it is like a fast bug or something and freaks me out. I’ve jumped up before. Shook my hair, throw blankets.. everything that we do if we see a bug. I am not good with bugs. Not outside and absolutely not inside. After my brain catches up to my spot, I’m ok but it’s not automatic and I’m absolutely not a fan of this. I’m 52, needed a hysterectomy about 25 years ago (but still have both ovaries) and was told that I may or may not go through menopause. Thanks doc! Idk why he didn’t remove everything so there was no risk of ovarian cancer. 🤷🏼♀️🙈 So I’m not really sure what caused this black spot but it’s very annoying. Hope yours gets better!
Apart from all the other symptoms.... I have ,uti's is new one for me ,as you said urinating constantly and pain 😩never ending .I did a urine test and everything is fine .after 3 years in perimenopause still checking everything with tests 🤦♀️it's endless . But on a good note ,other symptoms seem to have gone or are getting better 🙏
Thank you for this! I’ve been experiencing many menopause symptoms, I went into early surgical menopause, like these. Feeling as if I had insect bites or the feeling of a red hot needle being stuck into my limbs. Visual and auditory issues too.
I lived through hell in perimenopause for at least 5 years, until I changed all of my bad habits. Quit drinking coffee, alcohol, gave up all sugar and processed foods. Eat only two meals a day 9am and 2pm and increased good fat such as extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil and avocados and prebiotic food. The gut health is so important. I now feel like a completely different person…I was the b%#*tch from hell. I am also sleeping very well after 10 years of severe insomnia.
Yes, in my arms, my biceps twitch almost constantly and my feet have a slight vibration, sometimes my hands vibrate, it's very creepy and disturbing, ct scan showed nothing, I'm guessing it's pre menopause ??
Yes, I have stomach tremors as I call it, or like a vibration. It's so weird 😮. I don't know what causes this. It happens sometimes when I'm trying to go to sleep.
I have come to terms with the fact that I can no longer put myself in very stressful situations, especially social settings that trigger my anxiety. I am not going on a family trip this Summer as I know it will send my anxiety through the roof being under the same roof with extended family for two weeks. My tolerance levels are not what I once had & being around them for prolonged periods of time triggers my anxiety terribly. I am hoping one day these intense feelings will settle down, but for now I just can’t do it. It’s difficult for my husband to understand. I am almost 53 & in late perimenopause.
@@belindapearson9183 That was how I felt! Blamed it on COVID laziness but 3 years later I found myself struggling to get off the floor! Start slowly and don’t give up, even if you miss a few days! Everyone here is in the same boat! 🤗
yes me too i cannot stand when my 23 yr old grandson doesnt put the lid back on top of the soda bottle feels like im pregnant again the irritating shite an ppl talking all the time drives me nuts love me quiet space
You described everything I'm struggling with. When you tell someone about it, they look at you like you're nutz. Someone has taken me and placed me in someone else's body.
I had all of these except 6 &10. Menopause hit me so hard I thought I was losing my mind. The swimming thoughts, the brain fog, forgetfulness, lack of energy. I couldn't function at all. When my insomnia got so bad I basically wasn't sleeping at all, I went to my Dr and asked for hormones. They saved my life!
I'm 41 yrs old and I'm feeling all these symptoms now and haven't had my period since may . So I knw I'm starting ..I was wondering what hormones did the doctor give you. Any info will be helpful right now .. foods to eat and not eat . Pls if anyone ❤
You really need to start educating yourself. Menopause Barbie is a very good channel. No BS and she starts from the very basics and builds on every chapter. By the time you have done some chapters you will understand a bit more of what you will be facing. Get a Gynecology appointment and start to learn how you would like to go through menopause. Everyone of us is different. And what is important to you might not be a priority for me. You will need to do informed decisions but you will have to advocate for yourself. You will find in general how uneducated women are on this important part of our lifes. And also at a professional level. As an example. One of my GP's tried to expell me from my Health Centre because I did ask for a second referral because after 7 months my symptoms had worsen. I had to go through my Gynecology secretary to get an appointment. Absolutely shocking. Thankfully, she is brilliant. And told her secretary to put me down for a phone call appointment. 3 months waiting but she sort me out once and I hope she does it again. Good luck. @@Sandi.-wl6hz
😢uncomfortable bloated😢 feeling like your lungs is being squeezed ......catching air ....anxiety kicks you ....thanks kerri. I watched all your videos trying to find relief.
Eye stabbies!!! Cramps in the eye muscles so strong, it looks like bleeding/blood shot eyes. Doctors say they've never heard of that before, so it doesn't exist. Magnesium (threonate, citrate) helps.
Sometimes I'm sure I feel a drip of water on the back of my leg. Completely random, usually when I am sitting, and there has never actually been any moisture around me. Kind of like the scalp thing, which I have also felt and usually shake through all of my hair as if there's a spider in it!
oh my goodness i thought i was goin mad i get the feeling of water drops on the backs of my leg and when i feel there is nothing there . i use a floor cleaning machine i thought that was spitting water at me but then thought but hang on its on the back of my leg . creepy
the sickness and tooth pain, imbalance and i actually have labyrinthitis, and so many ghosts. Good news though no night sweats or hot flashes since getting on HRT and I've been sleeping! The fog has also gone as well.
Yep had a lot of these, the itchy red bumps which appear out of nowhere and then disappear just as quickly. The crawling on my scalp one still happens randomly & I used to think it was either a flea or a baby spider crawling on my scalp! Ugh The bumping into things & loss of balance annoys me the most because I broke my pelvis in a traffic accident 18 years ago & have had years of physiotherapy to correct my walking which improved it to about 95% but menopause has made it a LOT worse! Thanks Kari, I don’t feel like such a freak when I watch your videos. x
You’re not alone I have all these symptoms too. Add to the list driving at night blindness, driving along and all of a sudden have no idea where you are, and crazy itchy ears. It’s a never ending list…
A victim of constant itchy ear....was told by my doctor to just add a drop of olive oil in the ear as fluctuating hormones makes your ear dry and itchy
My doctor says my symptoms are a cause for concern im 50 and they dont treat with hrt 😮 so im kinda worried about what meds they are inclined to give. Doctor danger i have
@@christinaroche8147 do your research and find natural alternatives ,those meds given by the doctor will mostly likely have even worse side effects, then that's another problem. MY treatment is much prayer ,faith and natural herbs ,vitamins and change of lifestyle 🙏🏼 I pray everything work out well for you ❤️
The flu like symptoms: in Chinese medicine it is called cold Uterus/womb. I heat kitchen towels in a pan then put it over my clothes and it dose burns my skin a little. That remedy has calm those symptoms for months. Sadly it comes back, but not as hard.
When I was in perimenapause, I would hear beautiful music when I tried to fall asleep. I would also experience flashes of light, I saw the eye Dr, everything was normal. I still get the adrenaline serge most nights while I'm trying to go to sleep.
My favorite so far is the uterine flutters. You feel so very funky, off, very uncomfortable. Make me feel like not myself and not my body. It is very unsettling
You said it Kari mentally and physically drained says it all. Perimenopausal for two years and it has changed my life. Everyday I feel like a new symptom appears out of nowhere. Thank you Kari for this video.
💭💭 I also noticed this BIG one that happens to ME SO much literally can’t 👎🏻 tell YOU how many times a DAY/night this happens❕ 💭💭 I REPEAT MYSELF a lot and I mean a lot❕
When I hit menopause they said my migraines would likely get worse . Instead they completely disappeared and were replaced by what I refer to. As a gastric migraine. About once a month I get an aura of being very light-headed and woozy followed by extreme nausea and gnawing pain in my stomach. It's also accompanied by a strange tiredness and if I have the luxury of giving into it and having a nap it sometimes can break the cycle. The sensation of nausea is quite similar to what I had when I was on the birth control pill in my younger years. I would trade my head migraines for this any day!
i get really bad face burning, tooth pain, i space out in work aaaarrrggggg , space awareness i bang into corners all the time my balance is affected too. im also very quick to anger and struggle with .having a lot of people around me ( i was always a people person and loved crowds) it seems to change your personality im adjusting but its hard .
I used to have a lot of disequilibrium in perimenopause. I used to get so embarrassed thinking others might think that I was drunk. Now, I finally know what caused it. Very infrequent now in post-menopause, thank goodness ❤
I'm sorry you're going through this... I've been accused/teased several times of being drunk at extended family events, due to my equilibrium issues and stumbling over or pausing for words. (I had only had a few sips of wine from my husband's glass that night. And I haven't been drunk once in more than 20 years.) The amount of anger/resentment/embarrassment/hurt I felt at the time was like a literal punch in the gut. It's been a couple years since then, but I still have those issues. Dr keeps saying I'm fine (or more accurately "Everything is within NORMAL LEVELS"). But my anxiety has tripled, especially regarding any family events because of those previous encounters. Because I'm not "bad enough" or "still within NORMAL levels", I keep being told I'm FINE, maybe "a little low/high, but in the NORMAL range"! 🤬 Fine/normal shouldn't feel like this! 🤬 While some of my symptoms have gotten better over the years, I've also gotten new ones. I've been told for YEARS that I was too young for menopause. I started having symptoms after my youngest was born when I was 30. I turn 50 next week... Maybe now my Dr will take me seriously... I am so unbelievably thankful for this amazing woman and her channel for making me feel like I'm NOT CRAZY! 🥰 She and y'all make me feel SEEN and HEARD! 🥰
Thank you thank you thank you …. Omg this brought me to tears …. I’m 53 and seven years into perimenopause hell….with no signs of menopause on the horizon….I have all these and obviously more…sitting in a chair and the overwhelming sensation I’m falling backwards to the point I will grab a table or the arm of chair …the worse is the chronic migraine I have delvelope…. All tracked to my hormones ….this is no way to live ….
Yep. I'm 9 out of 10. What I would add that is SO frustrating lately is increased clumsiness. I've been knocking over glasses and bottles that I just sat on the table beside me a minute before -- especially if there's a straw in it. It's like they just disappear from my peripheral vision. I've now banned beverages near my laptop!
Thanks for sharing this! 🎉🎉🎉 My tinnitus is so high pitched! It's so annoying. And I have vertigo...so that no balance thing... Yeah that's me but think like 100x worse. So annoying that we were never taught this!!
@@tammi67able which is really really sad and my gynecologist is young and she didn't believe me when I was telling her about my symptoms. I guess she'll learn when her goes through it but I wish they would start to teach this is medical school.
Gosh! The red bumps/itching and scalp! I'm going through this now! I thought it was heat rash, but I don't sunbathe! Being red-haired doesn't bode well for getting a tan! And I can tick off all of these, and I'm perimenopause! Thank you for doing these videos! Because we women needs to know what's happening to us when the Dr's don't.
I cannot tell you what a profound relief it was to hear your story. Age 75 breast cancer, treatment was to remove any trace of oestrogen left in my body, in effect putting me into a second brutal menopause, all the symptoms you describe hit me very hard. The added age element boosted the side effects. Have stopped treatment, but I am still having grim symptoms, I think this is it now, the damage is permanent. But at least your story has helped. Apart from the physical symptoms, the very worst are the mental.
I have fibromyalgia as well, and have made a fun little game out of guessing which condition is causing a symptom, sometimes its both. Maybe i should take a shot each time im right😂😂😂
Thanks so much for another one of your informative videos .. I am truly amazed on how much estrogen and collagen play a part in a woman's life. I guess I was pretty naive thinking that all menopause was responsible for was no more periods .. hah, was I wrong!! I've experienced the vertigo, seeing imaginary birds flying from the corner of my eye, feeling creepy crawlings on my scalp or arms and there is nothing there .. the brain fog, bouts of forgetfulness (more than I care to remember), the anxiety, feelings of impatience, balance issues while walking .. it's horrible .. I could go on .. but pretty much all the symptoms you've shared in your videos, I can relate to first hand. 😞 but we shall trudge along knowing strength comes from knowledge 🤓
The bug crawling feeling I can totally relate to. The Menopause flu!!!! Yes!! Once or twice a month I get it. I get all the sxs you listed. I also don't have time to be sick. This I have found to be very upsetting, anxiety provoking, and disruptive to my life. And there's nothing to do but wait it out. 😢
I thought something was biting me, mostly it's on my hands, and arms. Yet if I manage not to scratch the bumps disapear by the following day. Glad it's not actually bug bites as someone else suggested. I'm also noticing my spacial awareness is off, ending up with bruises from colliding with furniture
I had to go on hrt wanted to be be natural but debilitating working full time ! its like i went from 45 to 80 god help women working outside home most have no choice now 😢 ❤
😂 thanks kari the insomnia and public hot flashes I need to keep teaching hopefully it gets easier for us all at least we all talking about and helping each other 😊
@Kari Anne Wright I am soooo thankful for your channel. I have every symptom you mention. It mostly when I eat junky. It's better when I eat right, exercise, and get enough sleep (which is hardly ever on the sleep).
Argh! I randomly tip over ALL OF THE TIME now. I no longer trust my balance at all. I am only half joking when I tell my husband that I need one of those adult tricycles these days. My 2 wheeled biking 🚴 might be coming to an end and I am only 49!
💭💭 MY brain 🧠 fog plus confusion is SO bad I feel like I have dementia❕ 💭💭 I FORGET a lot❕ 💭💭 I notice when I take notes for MYSELF I later look back and see 👁️👁️ mistakes❕ 💭💭 MY son will notice it too he will SAY something then I get defensive SAYING DUDE I’m in perimenopause how are YOU NOT 👎🏻 understanding MY brain 🧠 is fried 🤯🤣 💭💭 thank god I’m NOT 👎🏻 a secretary if SO I would get FIRED the FIRST hour on the job 🤣
Wait what?!?! Thank you Keri! I had random tooth pain and wondering why? Also the brain lapse! And itchy hair! I surely thought I was going downhill quick and I’m only 59! This menopause business is no joke. Thanks for the info so I know I’m not crazy ❤️
Let’s not forget the late in life misdiagnosis of ADHD and other diagnosis being linked to perimenopause and menopausal symptoms, meanwhile the field of psychology has ignored that.
I get the hair crawling too! And I'm losing my hair...all the other symptoms too. 😭 55 y/o, 9 months without a mentrstrual cycle. Love your channel, you bring me so much peace of mind.
Yes ! Audiologist told me to use pure mineral oil for the itchy ears. Just a tiny bit on tip of finger and lightly apply it to ear opening. I found a Dove pure one in the bay section and it really helps
I started having vertigo in perimenopause. It was severe and affected my ability to work. There are exercises you can do to relieve it but it took my episodes 4 hours to resolve with the exercises. Eventually I went on HRT and the vertigo stopped. I still have dizziness and my balance is not stellar but it is better than it was. I’m didn’t realize vertigo could be a menopause symptom. Love Carrie Ann’s videos so helpful. 💕
Vision, forgetting things I can move from sitting room to bedroom and reaching the corridor can’t remember what I went for, terrible thanx for always sharing
Oh my God, I guess I never looked up the symptoms of menopause because you mentioned so many that I was unaware of. I've experienced many of them, now I can honestly say I am not crazy.😅😅
💭💭 I’m in perimenopause basically at the end❕ 💭💭 I definitely 👍🏻 noticed lately it feels like I have a big crawling in OR on MY head/in MY hair 🤣 💭💭 I freak out thinking 💭 there’s something crawling OR living in MY hair it’s SO WEIRD❕ 💭💭 there’s NEVER 👎🏻 nothing there 🤞🏻🤣
Hi! Kari thank you for this new video. I would say highlights of being in peri menopause and menopause I have all of this creepy symptoms I myself scared of drinking alone sometimes if I drive a little bit far I always make sure I have my son with me.Menopause lost my confidence.
Yess!! Several times a day for over a year now I’m sure there are fleas biting my legs! Usually at night so I grab the flashlight under the sheets but never see anything, no bugs or anything! It’s maddening!
Unfortunately we are dealing with fleas right now, so when that crawling happens it might not be just a feeling!! I HATE fleas almost more then menopause!!
Thank you for being out there sharing your experience. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So I'm not crazy. I'm 53 and so frustrated with the lack of knowledge on this subject from my doctor. You literally just described everything that's been happening to me. Just recently my ears keep feeling plugged and my feet swelling. So that's fun.
Thank you for your valuable information and blessings to you. Doctor's just don't want to make it easy to explain what is going on. You have giving me hope that I am not going insane.
The tooth pain is REAL! Dentist did a root canal but I was still in pain. I gave up on help and THEN heard hormone changes could be the cause. Definitely not going to go root canal route again without CLEAR evidence that it is not my hormones!
got some of the symptoms: itchy scalp (gets worse when I'm stressed), seeing things out of the corner of my eye, walking like I'm drunk, itchy ears (again gets worse when I'm stressed), Claustrophobia now and again if I'm in a narrow aisle with people in it or when I'm ringing customers up if the register behind me has customers I feel like I'm trapped. 45 Perimenopausal
I just turned 40 and have many of these as well as many others that you have discussed in your other videos. I noticed the changes starting about 2 years ago with irregular periods and it's just progressed. I feel normal for about one week out of each month. I was also dismissed at the obgyn last year for being "too young". it's so appalling to me that this is a common occurrence. It makes me want to start something to spread more awareness like you are doing. It's so unfortunate that it's such an uninformed subject when every woman will go through it to some degree. Thank you for what you are doing, I know it's helping many women! Also, another strange symptom I noticed recently is choking on my own saliva while swallowing, its like it goes down the wrong way often now. I'm afraid I'm a choking hazard while I'm eating now. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this one!? Lastly, Yes, we are all also becoming more in touch with our mediumship abilities too with the seeing and hearing apparitions, I definitely have that! It's all so interesting, crazy and horrible! Thank you for sharing
I have quite a few of these. My newest symptom (idk if it’s related to hormones or not, coffee.) I am going off coffee for this week to see if it is in fact causing stomach irritation.
Thank you Kari for bringing all of these symptoms to light! Also have noticed loss of balance lately. And seeing things out of corners of eyes, although this is not new and it feels like a heightened ability (I live in an old house)... My sense of smell has really reached new levels while eyesight in general when reading is, well, not as great. But...Can't have everything huh? Take care & thanks for all your videos. I've learned so much from you! 💜
I'm glad im not the only one. I've been putting a spoonful of lions mane (its a type of powdered mushroom) into my coffee every morning for the last month or so, its helped with my brain fog so much, and calmed down my hot flushes. Has anyone else tried it?
Has anyone experienced your jaw and teeth feeling off track? I have a dental appointment next week because it is so disconcerting because it adds to the menopause dizziness and makes it hard to chew. I did look up a condition called temporomandibular joint disorder which occurs during menopause. It sounds like what I am experiencing.
Yes,I get that. So frustrating. Dont get into the habit of checking by bringing your teeth together to see how they feel. That will cause more muscle tension.
Try to avoid chewing hard foods such as Bagels, carrots amd tortilla chips. Also crunching on nuts. All of those trigger TMJ for me. Also spices and citrus like lemon or lime can set off my TMJ or TN. I do clench teeth more with menopause. Use to have a mouthguard in 30s but so expensive. Try to remind myself daily relax do not clench.
Yes to all these things! At least it’s not just me 😮 Seeing someone pass by in my peripheral vision scares the living crap out of me. I’m always off balance and feel like somethings crawling on me. Being spaced out in conversation too!
Omg! The tooth pain! I had a crown that started throbbing, and my dentist sent me to an oral surgeon who said nothing was wrong with my tooth or the crown, and literally handed me my purse to send me on my way, so I’m guessing he thought I made it up. Then thought I had a cavity developing, with a bit of tooth pain when I chewed, and the dentist checked it, but nothing. My regular dentist was more understanding. So frustrating. Thankful my teeth are fine, however😅
Thank you for the video kari. I get these symptoms as well 😢 God bless you with good health and a long happy and healthy life and peace of mind and heart ❤️ ❤
I seriously laughed my head off at these symptoms - & YES I EXPERIENCE THEM - I just made excuses for myself. And the times I've forgotten where I've parked my car - scary.
My optician has indicated the vast network of floaters in my eyes. She told me to blink hard several times & that does seem to clear them for at least a moment or two, but I’m still seeing “things” flash past me or under my feet constantly. Tooth pain? Check! Menopause flu? Yep! Altho my body will occasionally run a good fever for 1-4 hours! Tinnitus? Double check! Here’s a tip for UTIs, both fake & real. I was having so many, I was ready to try anything. I started taking a supplement offered under the name Uqora. I take the “Promote” & “Defend” supplements daily. My UTIs stopped immediately & I haven’t had ANY in over 3 years. I’m 69 & still having occasional hot flashes. Good luck to everyone & have a safe & fun 4th of July. 🎉
I thought I was going crazy hearing things. I had no idea that it could be menopause related. I often see a shadow of my cat Lily. The problem is, she passed away in 2012.
I get the burst of adrenaline feeling. It is unsettling and makes me feel anxious until it's passed. I also see things out of the corner of my eyes and have the wobbles
