yeah i found that 3d printer like 2 hours into the game. luckily had like maxed out printed cartridges. use it to make tech stuff to make tech armor. that will straight up save your life.

you can find printer resin randomly around the maps ( mostly in plastic bins)

This was something that I found really cool, in the trailers you could see the enemies jumping/climbing over the walls, if you spike walls or sticks then they presumably won’t be able to climb them

If you crash a bit before you crash inside the forest itself , it really depends on how long you look at the screen.

It's pretty easy. Make a square with logs and if you have a log, go to your square and you will normally see 2 arrows and if you left click then you will cut the log in half and make a piece of your floor.

Yep! Took me a minute for figure it out but what you wanna do is locate your backpack in the inventory and the back pack acts as a more immersive quick select and you can switch between 2 weapons. Your axe and any sticks should be on the side of the backpack but you can remove anything from the backpack and replace it with your items of choice. To access the quick bag you’ll press Q and on controller you hold down on the d-pad and you’ll be able to see those weapons and not have to panic and go into your inventory anymore and risk dying haha. The difficulty does not, however there are 3 starting locations, the snow, the river, and the beach. Each had their own intro cutscene so I highly recommend watching them all!

Depends on how long u interact with the laptop at the beginning. If you interact with it right away, you'll land at the beach. If u wait a lil bit and interact with it, you'll land at the river and if you wait all the way till the end to interact with it, you land in the snowy mountains

@@dustae It doesnt matter if you interact with the computer. The crash locations are random.

YOu have to make a doorway with logs going side to side stacked ontop of each other, then make pillars from the sides to it. Sadly though them cannibals can just walk right through the door.

@@brandonrutledge5679 the guide says that there is a way to make a gate that only you can open but for some reason it doesn’t work

There’s another gps locator and you can attach it to a stick that you place in the ground and it’ll show up on the map, not sure if there’s another way yet.

It released at 5pm gmt Feb 23(Thursday, yesterday) in early access for anyone to play, I might be wrong but I think it’s only out on steam

How could you possibly not know this 10 stupid basic things. The game literally walks you trough making the first items the second u grab stuff. Also, if u played w kelvin for a minute you learn all his interactions. This video was utterly useless.

@@alphaone321 no they aren't. Go and watch several people play the game for the first time and watch their confusion until they figure it out. I watched several people spend 10 minutes just trying to figure out how to break sticks. The game doesn't tell you to look down at the ground.

You need to wait for the interaction. So i read that if u interact early u crash in forest if u wait u crash in mountain.

Crash sites are random. There is nothing you can do to choose the crash site. Dont know why people are saying things like interact with the computer.

First of all, it’s an early access game. Of course an ai system as advanced(I’ll get to why its so unique in a second) is going to have plenty of issues. For an early access game or even a newly released game this would be quite impressive. Ok, so to start off the ai is incredibly well developed. The way the enemies work is way more intricate than the first game, or many games Ive seen. There are many tribes of the cannibals and they interact with each other, the mutants, environment, and you in different ways. The way you act can completely shift the balance between them, you can literally start tribe wars. You can scare them, entice them, bait them, do whatever you want. They’re genuinely smart. They will retreat if their leaders are killed, or if too many of them are severely injured. They will observe you and test you, then run away and come back with more, they will slowly get more of them and push you into areas with hidden enemies that will surround you, and only attack when they have an advantage or are forced to attack. This system is incredibly detailed, naturally in early access it’s going to have its fair share of problems, but outright saying it’s copying and pasting the ai from the first game is a a massive insult to the devs that spend years making this game. The ai in the first game was also great, but SOTF easily has some of the most advanced methodical planning from ai that I’ve ever seen in gaming. On to kelvin, a bit more straightforward . If you order him to drop logs near your base then he will usually cut down trees to fall in that direction. That’s probably why hes doing that. Sometimes it’s just random or whatever angle he needs to finish the tree, but usually he cuts them towards wherever you told him to

unequip your weapon with G and look down at the water. took me forever to figure it out 😅

@@larz2388 Actually, i just found out it has to be river water and find a canteen? Just like IRL , you can't drink from the ocean and that's where i spawned. Gotta go find a river. =(
