A lot of them sound interesting, i wouldn't say they make sense. The healing hand wound is the most likely because it's the only one entirely metaphorical.
Yeah somebody was talking about toy story theories and a hotel transelvania and they were talking about Disney NOW home alone seriously dude this is so not true this is a lie their doing these theories to make people think it's true but it's not THOUGH weirdos
If he was a mob boss, he could've had someone at the house to look after Kevin within minutes, and what kind of crook would want to rob the house of a damn mob boss?
Batmans _Here lol no because buzz started the fight. If it wasn't for him this movie wouldnt be made. Lol Or if Kate didn't say " it's too late " when Kevin apologize lol
Chris Wilson what if Harry and Marv are in the mob boss with him and decided to betray him by robbing his house. That or they just didn't know at all and figured that he was just a rich man
Yeah because in the beginning of the movie they asked Tracey if she ordered the pizza & she said no buzz did so buzz probably didn't order a cheese pizza at all & I the second movie in the beginning buzz says nobody in this house can order pizza you know why
My theory was this. Peter was in the business, finance, or even possibly an business law attorney. However with all of the mannequin's in the house....I speculated that Mrs. McAllister was a fashion designer or worked in the fashion industry.
Travis Kinnison I agree with you 100%.. I personally think that Kevin’s mom is an important dress designer, and her husband a banker who invested extremely well on her designer line.
@Beta Male Strategies There are Irish associates (though not full members) of the Italian mob (see: Jimmy Conway), there's also an Irish equivalent to the Italian Mafia that also operates in the US.
I love the theory that Old man Marley is kevin from the future, if u connect the dots, it pretty much seems like it. I wanna believe it, idk if it's true or not.
What if actually Kevin’s uncle didn’t do that and everything until the Kevin fighting buzz wasn’t his uncle so his uncle got mad called him a jerk and hired a HIT on Kevin
Peter is a businessman and Kate is a fashion designer and frank wasn’t on the phone at the airport one hand was in his pocket the other was on top of the phone box
Another clue for Peter being a mob boss is How would Kevin be able to affird everything in Home Alone: 2 Lost in New York (Luxury hotel suite, limousine rides, Cheese Pizza, Toys, Paying 100$ as a tip at Duncans Toy Chest etc.)
"1990's Home Alone and 1992's Home Alone 2: Lost in New York are now staple parts of Christmas" .....aaaaand the third one is an abomination that we must never, ever speak of.
The third and subsequent ones(I know there was a 4th and I think they may have been a 5th) were things made when the devil challenged God to make something as bad or worse than him(the devil). Those movies were God's reply.
Kid wasn't even home alone in the third one. Sure, maybe a few hours out of the day. I don't remember exactly, but didn't he set up all the traps in the morning while his parents where fast asleep in bed? I'm predicting future Home Alone movies will have everything popping off in a crowded X-Mas party, and nobody will give a shit. Leaving 1 poor traumatized 10 year old up against a dangerous serial killer. EDIT: Home Alone vs Nightmare on Elm Street. Calling it now!
The third one was still very ok in comparison to the fourth one. It was watchable and I even laughed a few times. Not as funny and original as first two, but still ok. But then the fourth... I really wish I hadn`t seen it. So so bad, and they were just going with the plot as if that was the same Kevin... I just can`t describe all the cringe I felt during that movie.
Here’s my theory that’s more plausible than any of these; Kevin’s dad was a cop who made his money by protecting Tony Soprano from the FBI and the law. He also co-owned the Bada Bing with Tony and Silvio.
Biggest question from the movie- why the hell didn't Old Man Marley tell the cops about Kevin? Or why didn't the cops question Kevin? Old Man Marley knocks out the wet bandits at the end of the movie in a Deux Ex Machina. Next we see the wet bandits being taken away by the cops. Logically Marley would have stayed around to give a police report. Even if he left Kevin out of the report in an attempt to protect the kid, the wet bandits themselves would have reported what happened to the cops- probably in some sort of legal attempt to lessen their sentence (there is legal precedence for a burglar to bring charges if booby traps are set up on the property).
it's possible they did contact Kevin days later when Marley got interviewed by the police for further statements, they had Harry and Marv on several robberies already. We didn't get enough time to really know what happened in the days leading up.
⚠️CRAZY THERY HERE⚠️ It’s about a boy who was left home and he stopped people robbing him and it is made for a family to enjoy Just sayin I know it’s crazy but hey maybe
Na, Del Griffith. John Candy starred in "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" in '87 with Steve Martin. If you saw that movie you know exactly why his presence should strike terror in her heart.
The mob boss theory actually makes sense. Especially since they’re always watching “Angels With Filthy Souls”. A movie about a mob boss blowing people away.
When you mentioned John Candy's character as being the devil, you should have used the clip from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles with him dressed as the devil laughing at Steve Martin, hahahaha.
They do realize that the only reason Jigsaw "kills" people, is because he was a cancer patient, thought that people that take granted of life, and other things, not because of a damn cheese pizza...
Well everyone has a origin story. Not to mention that Kevin wished his parents away only to realize it was a mistake & that he took them for granted. So it may not be likely, but it's definitely plausible.
Didn't you see the final Saw film? He started when a nurse mixed up medical records about his cancer then his pregnant wife was murdered so he decided to teach people a lesson which if they follow the rules would be able to survive but if they don't they will end up killing themselves. Kevin on the other hand wasn't trying to build lethal traps just ones that would slow down Harry and Marv from reaching him until the police could arrive at the location he planned for them to be at when they get caught. First film it was the Murphy's house which was already robbed, second film was in the park where fireworks were going off. Both films a adult who he had made friends with showing up to aid on stopping them then wisking him away so the police wouldn't know he was the cause of all their injuries.
Maybe the whole thing about Kevin's mom saying something about selling her soul to the devil while getting John Candy's attention could be an easter egg planted by the director as a nod to Plains, Trains and Automobiles
One theory I've heard about: Harry and Marv didn't actually exist and were just imagined by Kevin who had grown bored and started daydreaming. Note that this is disproven at the end when Peter finds Harry's gold tooth on the floor.
Was busted by the tooth on the floor, newspaper, police saying they know every house they have robbed now, and the whole second film since people were interacting with them while Kevin wasn't around.
Its actually not possible for Kevin to be the Jigsaw Killer because he's only 8 in 1990 so realistically he would be 35 to 36 now and John Kramer is a old man in the Saw movies, unless Home Alone takes place decades in the past or the Saw movies takes place decades in the future
Quimper111 yes especially when they said they are a cult because they all went on vacation like???? Oh yeah they didn’t leave all their young children at home ( well except for Kevin), so obviously, they are a cult.
Well Uncle Frank wasn't allowing the little kids which included Kevin to watch the movie. We know this because Kevin told his parents that Uncle Frank was doing that and then we get to see Kevin's reaction to watching the film for the first time while home alone.
I'm pretty sure Kate McCallister is a fashion designer because why else would she have mannequins displaced around the house for Kevin to use to trick the burgulars? It's possible Peter McCalister could still be a mob boss or in some shady involvement though because of several reasons that you have already outlined in the video though. I've also assumed that Uncle Frank hired the two burgulars to rob his brother's house because he was jealous of his wealth and lifestyle but upon learning that Kevin is home alone, he makes the effort to tell Kate not to turn back and this is probably because he doesn't want Peter and Kate to come home early and discover his plan even if Kevin has to be killed.
No my friend. The family is in the movie is very active, no signs of depression or loneliness there. Still they have no friends is what makes it strange....That is very much cult-like.
I love these theories! However, in the beginning of HOME ALONE, you hear that Peter McCallister was invited, by his brother Rob, to Paris. If I recall correctly, Rob paid for the trip.
I caught this on a recent re-watch as well. Kate explains to Harry (who is disguised as a cop) that Peter's brother recently moved to Paris for work and found that he really missed his family. As a result, Peter's brother had arranged for and paid for a big family trip so that everyone could visit him in Paris. That's also why there are so many kids and so few adults- Rob's kids were with Kevin's family at the time even though Rob and his wife were in Paris.
Theory: In Home Alone 2, Kevin purposefully got lost because he knows it would be more fun without his family. When Kevin “spotted his dad,” he didn’t see any other family members. Plus, he doesn’t tell the person who could’ve gotten him home what happened when he arrived at New York. He barely reacted to the thought that he was alone in one of the worlds biggest cities
Harry actually knew. When they saw the whole "family" at home. He seemed confused. But the next morning he says to Marv "trust me, he is home alone". So Harry got that info from somewhere....
My theory has always been... Kevin McCallister is Henry Evans. Kevin, after his 2nd stint being alone at home, CPS was alerted. His parents simply had their rights taken, and Kevin was adopted by the Evans family. Kevin being given a chance to start over, decides to take on a new first name as well, Henry. However, he is psychologically scarred from the emotions he had with his former family, and being easily jealous of anyone who gets in the way of he and his mom, Richard, makes him homicidal. He murders Richard and basically becomes the kid we see in the movie, "The Good Son." They also possess similiar traits: Both lie and manipulate without hesitation. Both are abke to cause family conflict at a moments notice. Both are skilled in setting traps and making very dangerous stuff. Both ultimately show a very strong bond with their mothers, although Kevin's is tragic, and Henry's is vengeful. Finally, this may be a stretch, but Henry's mother, was willing to kill Henry and chose to save Mark. Even though she was aware of her son's behaviors, she probably should have saved him and just had his ass committed. I wouldn't think many mothers wpuld choose a cousin over their own son, no matter how psychotic he may be, unless he's not flesh and blood. Mark is actually related to her, thus, worth saving. Just my theory.
Did y’all hear about the Elvis theory? In the airport scene where Kate meets Gus Polinski , the guy with the beard standing to the left of Kate is said to be the real Elvis.
To be honest, at first I didn't believe it at all cause how could this innocent child be a killer. Then I saw Kevin's traps and its kind of like Jigsaws traps but without blood. So it does make sense
Weinstein and the like wouldnt have any hidden twists would they. . in real life. why would there be in their movies?. .. CrAzY tHeoRiEs .. just enjoy the ride, take some more anti depressants. watch ur CNN. ABC.. disney.. they are just there to entertain kids..
Sonal Nayak he didn’t set traps until he heard the crooks talking outside about coming back to break in.. if Mr. Macalister was a mob boss he could’ve had people go pick Kevin up or stay with him
Mob bosses are geniuses. No doubt. You cant throw children into 'the business' but you can train/prepare them for it. Buzz is already a freak. Kevin was weak which is why his uncle disliked him so much.
Mob boss makes sense 🤔🤔 I’ve seen some people say If that was true, Peter would have have had someone look after Kevin. Here’s a theory.... Old man Marley was actually peter’s lookout 😲🤯
