I have been wanting to comment for quite a while youtube jail. I was inspired by your travels and bought a dr 650 had it lowered and put a big tank on it. Got my luggage together and being from Montana my first big ride will inclued a trip from Chinook to Winafred. You have to take a ferry across the missouri river. The last battle field for the Nez Pierce is also on the route. Thanks for getting me riding the brush pig,

Amanda, love your videos. Been watching your content for some time now. I like that you’re really and not afraid to speak your mjnd about stuff. I’m primarily a Midwest road rider, but your videos appeal to me. Question - for dispersed camping (no amenities), how much water do you typically bring (cooking, drinking, & washing dishes) with you? You make better meals on the road than I can ever hope to make at home (that’s why my wife does the cooking😊).

I normally have between 4L-8L of water 😊 between my Sea to Summit Watercell X 4L and my MotoJug that's mounted to my passenger leg (which I also 4L) .

If you didn't patent the H.C.U., I think I'll make something similar before heading to Utah this summer. I normally don't wear hats but a river trip mandates a hat, thus an H.C.U.

Okay, a TMI story; on my first trip to RMR, I had the best BM I've every had in Panquich. My buddy an I had done the boondocking camping our first night from AZ. I had to find a bathroom ASAP that 2nd morning. Panquich had the best public toliet I have ever used. It changed my life. I will always love Utah for that toliet.

Hi Amanda, I have a question about your dry bag you strap behind you. Why do you place it so far back? If you place it more forward it could be used as a backrest. Is it because you ride an adventure bike and sometimes ride upright on your pegs and you can't have that dry bag more forward? Thank you.

It goes on top of the Laptop on my luggage rack to partially help deter anyone trying to take the pelican case with my laptop in it. But also because i don't enjoy having a back rest, especially a duffel, I just feel really cased in between my tank bag and a big duffel behind me. On this trip, I also have a small duffel on the passenger seat behind me - the yellow small rolie. But also yes, when we go off-road and I stand up I need room to move around, if there's a duffel right behind me on the passenger seat that really hinders my ability to move my weight over my seat -particularly going downhill when I need to move my weight back - I wouldn't be able to do that with a duffel on the passenger seat instead of on my luggage rack. That being said I had two large duffels on this most recent cross country trip because I needed the additional packing space for other projects I was doing for brands, but I pretty conciously did not do a lot of off-road on the cross country trip for that reason.

Another excellent video! How many miles do you average a day? I just rode through Utah and the winds were strong especially the I-15 corridor.

Depends, we averaged around 300-400 miles a day to get to Utah and Leaving, but while we were in Utah we were doing maybe 100-150 miles a day.

OMG, $60 for a 6’ x 6’ area to sleep? Unbelievable but then again, what are you going to do? We hated camping in KOAs when we were full time RVers. So expensive. Love your travels and Brother is da bomb

I've stayed in other KOAs since this and have since learned how to pick out the good ones lol I agree they're pretty expensive still for regular camping but their Camping Cabins are now one of my favorite things and are often times cheaper than shady motels and I feel safer there lol

FTA is still posting videos, but he has a regular day job now, because after he took a break for health reasons back in 2020 people weren't getting notified of his new content. Two Wheels Big Life no longer live on the road, they announced that a while ago. I'm a one woman show, I film, edit and run my own small business. Those who also follow me on Instagram know I spent the summer working and attending events almost every weekend since May to August and then I rode across the country in October lol did you miss the daily Shorts I posted? I've been posting regularly since September.
