Wow, you really weren't exaggerating when you said you wanted to increase the intensitiy - those "hits" looked amazing! Absolutely love the mixture of training montage, behind the scenes and high quality action. Great work.
Man it's crazy how well you improved on the criticisms of your Jackie Chan video (which was amazing btw). Very cool that you added the training you did because you can really really tell how hard you worked on it and how well it translated to the scene. The intensity of the hits really sell the implied power you put in the shots. As a professional MMA fighter myself i find myself extremely critical when it comes to fighting scenes in media but you guys really nailed the feeling of an actual fight and make it extremely entertaining on top of it. Which is really hard because 'real' fighting is very sloppy and while entertaining, not the same kind of entertaining you want in an action scene. Kinda makes me want to film a fight scene haha. Kudos man really.
WOW.. just WOW!! Everything about this was so fun to watch! From the behind the scenes & setup to the actual fight sequence! You never fail to impress Omar! CHILLS yet again!
Omar, Wow! I've been following you since we met at GMU and I'm so amazed at everything you've been able to accomplish. I remember asking you on campus to get a photo together and now when I watch that new MCU movie with you as a lead, I'll be able to brag about it 😜 Keep doing what you do best. You're crushing it.
Thank you so much! Such a long time ago and such a crucial part of my life that led me to this point. You're too kind! I'll make sure to keep working hard. I hope you're doing well!
Such damn good work, dude! I am consistently impressed! And the knowledge you're spewing just through sharing your process is gold. Serious congratulations!!
Great emulation of the Shang-Chi flavor of fight choreography! I guess the only other thing that could be added is some more undercranking to ramp up the perceived movement speed?
Yeah absolutely! I love using camera shake to really emphasize certain moments! I've learned that from watching Anime and filmmakers like Chris Cowan (RivenX3i)
You are always at the TOP Omar. Every time you set yourself a challenge, you always end up surpassing yourself and reaching your goal. Your level of mastery is so impressive. Bravo and continue to surprise us, you have my full support.
Instead of writing a essay about how well you actually made this in only 10 days I see this as a inspiration because u did it with 10 ppl some cameras and a pc that’s insane everything is possible if you work hard enough that’s what this teached me 💪
I love Simu Liu! So awesome of him to actually do the backflip with you in the video :) This was a cool fight scene, but why the heck didn't you fight the boss-man at the end? All this build-up showing him there sending his goons at you, and then you don't fight him? Makes for a really dissatisfying ending.
Work, work, work! Repeat, repeat, repeat! And at the same time love what you do. Omar, you are not only a great athlete, but also a wonderful actor. Video is epic! Indeed, it was like watching a fight scene from a movie. I would never have thought that you had so much work behind of it. Special thanks to your team of friends! 😀
Oh my gosh thank you so much for the amazing compliment! That truly means so much! This process and journey was truly so incredible to go through and I am honored to have such amazing, wonderful, and talented friends who helped make all of this possible!
I'll actually be releasing that fight on my Instagram later 🙌🏻 It ended up being too long for RU-vid so it'll be a special release! My instagram is @omarzaki0 if you're curious. Hope you enjoyed this though!
That was pretty awesome to watch... the only concern I have is that you repeatedly look at camera. You need to think of it as looking through the camera to something behind the camera good suggestion is to set up a tennis ball behind the camera man that you can see and then focus on it. It's mostly just a bit unnerving to have a movie character look right at you unless they are deliberately breaking the fourth wall.. Like Wanda the second Dr. Strange, or the Kid from Avengers Endgame. Think of it like how they teach fighting. much like they talk about when you go to hit, you don't target the person's body part you are going to hit, instead you target behind the place you are striking through, this will also help with your combat feel too light. I did learn about the self ramping thing, I didn't know that was actually used in cinema, so that was kind of cool to learn. This was pretty awesome though. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the incite into your method to complete a cool action sequence.
Bro That was sick as FUCK yo that was amazing how did u do all that like the parkour and fighting all in 10 days u should really be an actor if u learned all that in 10 days committed
Thank you so much! I didn't learn everything from 0. I have been doing Parkour and Martial arts for many many years since 2011 but I wanted to learn some specific new skills and tailor my Action towards the Shang-Chi style. :)
@@OmarZaki You did some real work and made a great scene. As a fan of martial arts and martial arts films from Hong Kong and China and the marvel films too, I think you did a great job. Your training scenes were inspirational in your commitment also.
Amazing scene, I can see why you said this was your personal favorite. That opening sequence with the flips was incredible and the scene you shot on the last day was worth it. I disliked how you inherited the frequent camera changes that are done in the Marvel movies. It is true to the theme you were trying to capture but with such talented actors and choreographers you don't need to use it as a crutch like they do.
you improved so much from last time that was amazing and powerful but you cant be a badass fighter you know why ?! because you have an innocent face 😜 and that's why we like you, your style should be more into Jacky Chan style , both of you give a good vibe of a good person + after Jacky Chan stopped acting such movies we want someone to keep the comedy kung-fu style alive and that would be you 😎
Thank you for the kind words! I'm so glad that this connected with you! I know I get inspiration from all around me so just doing my best to pass It forward!
Yo marvel fights are some of my my favorites so you can only imagine how hyped I was that YOU we're making one. This was so awesome and it's great to see you getting you channel back on track man👍🏿
Superheroes are good, nice people but there is a part in them that will rip someone apart if need be. Why would they do that? What kind of person can trigger that part? Think of the type of person that gets your blood boiling.
