Loops not hoops lol 😂 I’m so glad you love and share this video - don’t forget to tell me in comments which belt tip do you prefer love ❤️ Frederique xxx
Hey Frederique! Please don’t worry about Oscar snoozing or the wind blowing. It is great to have Oscar included in your video. He’s precious. 🥰 I like your ideas of how to style belts! 💕
Frederique, you just EXUDE such joy and playfulness that your videos are delightful to watch! 👏🥰 Here’s a tip for some of us a bit older than you whom have ‘lost’ their waistlines: If I want to cinch in a loose top or dress; I use a thin belt, and wear it loosely on my hip and let it drop at an angle to the other side. This draws the eye down - like a wrap dress would - elongating the body and not cutting me off in my middle. Also do this with a scarf! Really looks good.😌 🙋♀️🇺🇸🥰🤗👏
The length of this series you've been presenting has been good. Glad to see the alternative stylings of your belts including tying them and showing a scarf used as a belt for color, volume. Thank you.
Thank you for these great tips and advice! Sometimes I’ll use the fabric belt that comes with a dress as a thin scarf around my neck or as a headband or tie around my ponytail 😘
Here's a way you can remember if it's a loop or a hoop. Loops are Lower on the body (trouser loops) and Hoops are Higher on the body (hoop earrings) :). Can you tell I'm a teacher, I use the alphabet to try and remember things all the time, works a treat. Hope it helps. Nice video, thanks!
Greetings from Paris
Love the earrings, such a statement item ❤ Belt loops pant and dresses have loops. Hoops are earrings or basketball 🏀 lol. Your darling love your videos.🥰
Great tips!!! I especially love the one with tying the belt of the dress in the back!!! thank you so much. You are soooo dear to me even though I don't know you. It's my ritual every Sunday to watch a few of your videos.
I love it when Oscar is part of the video and doing his thing ( Likely snoring). You are always so smiley and energetic, it's a true pleasure to watch your videos as you have a dynamic style of talking. Keep doing videos plz 🙏 😁
I never thought about using tape for belts. Fabulous! Love the scarf belt idea as well. I like draping the scarf over actually like a skirt of sorts. Merci!
Great video 👍 I've always loved belts and had belts in my wardrobe 👍 I'm starting to get daring with different colours I usually stick to black and tan. I love do's and don'ts keep them coming 👌
Thankyou Frèdèrique 💗🙏This was super helpful, I now need to buy a black thin belt. I wear scarves around my waist a lot, as they always fit 😊 and I like the feeling of support a belt gives me, not sure why ? I'll check out your store, though like you, I try to be a minimalist, so I usually go for preloved clothes, every now and then ,I'll by brand new items. Thankyou again for keeping we ladies informed 😘
Great tip to gather the fabric at the back of the dress. Can’t believe you are petite. Where do you find clothes? I’m a little under 5’2 and am very frustrated by the lack of quality, simple(classic) petite clothes!!!
I bought a gold chain belt with “coin” finial from deadstock on Amazon. I assumed the coin would show a classical god’s head or maybe Alexander or Julius Caesar, but it has the head of Lenin! Obviously unsold Soviet-era backstock, no wonder it was so cheap for the nice quality. But it is nice and makes this American capitalist laugh every time I wear it, so I kept it.
I think belts add a lot of polish to an outfit and can help give shape to garments. Here are my tips for belts: 1) Don’t wear skinny belts on a heavier, plus-size body, they make the body look bigger; 2) For rectangle shapes like me, I prefer a matching, not contrasting belt - it gives shape but doesn’t emphasize a thicker waist; 3) Invest in classic, good-quality leather belts in all your neutral (black, brown, tan, belt, bone, gray, white, beige) and basic colors (navy, olive/khaki, red, burgundy, etc.). I buy them when I see what I want on sale and now have a nice selection. One-and-a-half inch or two-inch widths, with a simple buckle, are the best to start with, then you can add trends as you like. A gold-chain belt is nice to have, as is a dressy belt, like black velvet.
I really adore your good energy and happiness, keeping your smile even if you live in the worlds most terrible dictatorial regime called Australia. Chapeau, my dear!
I do agree in wearing expensive and well made belts- because they are more sturdy, and look better made. My French grandmother always told me not to wear "brands." "Mon cherie, you want people to look at you, just you, and not think, O la la! She represents the Hermes brand." I, personally, don't want to be a bill board for a company. I feel wearing brands is distracting because now the person goes from thinking, "Wow, she looks great" to thinking, "Hmmmm... I wonder if I should get a Hermes belt, too. Maybe wearing Hermes will make me look expensive." People should be focusing on your style, not who made your clothing. That's my take on it. I love the idea of wearing the flexible belt over the blazer, as well as all the other amazing tips! Bisou 🙂
Hi lovely lady, I really enjoyed this video! As always, so fun and entertaining with practical tips. Belts are one of my favorite accessories and you had SO many great tips for styling. I'm starting to save for the Hermes belt. Thank you!!
Are you able to do video on travelling light, but elegantly, for all seasons and activities (walking, hiking, evening) in the bag, to Europe please? I'm good with casual, but want to look more elegant. Thank you
One more suggestion for the raffia/straw belt that is too long if you don’t have belt loops on your garment - try a large barrette clipped around it where it ends instead of a paper clip or a hair elastic. A scrunchie could work as well.
@@ms.frederique Grand merci, Frederique ! I went to the Zara site but couldn’t find this shirt. I must say that I find the Zara site difficult to use and not user-friendly…. Would appreciate your insight about navigating it. :)
Watching this after first seeing the facelift you look good here but now you look even better. Thank you for the belt video, also interested in a luxury belt with interchangeable straps. Thanks ❤
Love all your tips. I am a rectangle shape body type, i need to wear belts to define my waist but I don't know how 🤔 thank you for your awesome video 💕
Love the white blouse you wear So lovely it is worn with jeans And your bare feet so nice too And you go blouse only as well You feel it all over beneath it
Hi Frederique, could one mix silver and gold? Sometimes I don't feel comfortable when I'm wearing for example a belt with silver buckle and schoes with some golden accents or even jewelry?! 😘
Hello Fréderique! I really love to see you using belts. It's a beautiful acessorize, but I can´t use them , I ont feel good! I must try some of your tips, I really do. Thank you so much! Hugs!
