I would love to see him regular doctor he saves Kahn and by doing so he is hurt so badly that he can’t regenerate so the sisterhood give him the only elixir they have left to trigger his regeneration and it turns him into his form prior to the time war

It would be nice to have Gwen Cooper return. She’s the only remaining member of the Torchwood team (bar jack) and we haven’t seen her on screen in 10 years (except a brief mention in revolution of the Daleks). Since she had a different outlook to how torchwood treated aliens and made the entire team change their views for the better, she might be able to be the catalyst for the doctor to reconcile with mistakes they’ve made
as one of the 7 SJA fans, i would love to see luke smith come back and have a key part in an episode as he’s got a really good personality and he and the doctor would get along really well
I'd love to see Rani, Clyde and Luke come back. I don't even think it would be out of the question considering the actress who played Rani was in the last series and all three recently appeared in farewell Sarah jane.
Yes, I want them all back, plus the monk but we'll probably just keep getting the master back over and over and over again, just like the daleks, until I just don't care when I see them on screen.
It would be so awesome if Luke and K9 could make a cameo appearance or have a guest appearance; maybe the pair trying to stop an invasion that The Doctor somehow runs into in their travels. It would be nice to see Luke taking the mantle where Sarah Jane left off. Maybe having Maria, Clyde or Rani as a team companion Torchwood-Style just not as violent and no guns. And it would be awesome if Paul McGann could return; maybe the Doctor could do what the Curator alluded too in Day Of The Doctor that they could Regenerate to previous faces or something so Paul could get an entire series or more. He definitely deserves it in my opinion.
Ace was at Sarah Jane adventures funeral wasn't she? And she was supposed to be in Sarah Jane adventures series 6, with Amy, Rory,11th doctor,and Jo grant but obviously that didn't happen and Series 5 wasn't finished
If Ace were present in that funeral, she never announced herself. But at the end of the episode, as far as I remember, several Doctor companions are mentioned, Ace among them...
That mini episode featuring the funeral of Sarah Jane Smith is a thing of beauty. You WILL 'get something in your eyes', and you WILL need a handkerchief or tissues to get through it. It's superbly written, and very obviously made with a lot of love for not only Sarah Jane, but Elisabeth Sladen. It's worth watching, and serves as a perfect full stop for a truly beloved TV character.
Ace's fate is further unveiled in the novel At Childhood's End, written by Sophie Aldred herself. After thirty years of running her charity (how she could afford to create it in the first place is explained), she meets the Thirteenth Doctor and leaves Earth again, to make the universe a better place. The novel could be adapted as a nice two-parter with minimal rewriting.
Woah, Leela not bright!? Leela was super bright. She just didn't have our western upbringing and sensibilities, because she's Leela from the Sevateem. She picked things up very quickly and was really learning during her travels with the Doctor.
That bit about 13 and 8 solving a collapsing timeline is such a great idea! I wish I could see that played out instead of the exact same storyline being played out by 13 and 10 in the comics, I don't hate it, but if it was 8 instead there would be way more layers of interest there!
Would be great to see Susan again, at least one more time. Something that I imagined is that one of the next Doctor's companions would be his great-great-grandson; and knowing that Carole Ann Ford has now 80 years old, it may be the last time we can see Susan (Being played by her original actress).

I think Jodie Whittaker is leaving after Series 13. And true, the writing is shite. I just mean, I want sally to return sooner rather than later. Ideally, when Chris chibnall leaves.
I want to see Donna Noble return for a special episode! I know she can't see The Doctor or else she'll die... But I think it'd make for a fun special for The Doctor to kind of check up on her, follow her around her day to day life and all that. Basically, it'd be a Doctor Who special episode of "Where's Waldo", where we follow Donna's life that episode and see The Doctor pop up in the background from time to time LoL
Ace was meant to be in the Sarah Jane Adventures. If you read about the unmade stories they had planned for series 5 and 6 of SJA before the unfortunate death of Elisabeth Sladen there were stories involving Ace. I would love them to maybe pick up one of those unused scripts and rework them for Doctor Who and bring Luke back in that story. The unused episode ideas are on Wikipedia. I looked at them. They sound really interesting. Some need to be made properly into actual episodes. There was apparently meant to be an episode involving Luke and K9, set in a supermarket and kind of themed around Die Hard. They could easily make this episode in Doctor Who and use it to bring Luke and K9 back into the main show.
I would love to see McGann back for a series. Maybe after Chibnall has finished running the series into cancellation a new producer could use a series or two of McGann, filling in the blanks to bring Doctor Who back up to scratch.

Paul McGann...that's all I have to say. It would be great to see him in at least one adventure with the current Doctor. Second choice. Luke Smith...the Doctor should always have a Smith on board and Luke would be the perfect choice.
I would absolutely love to see Ace return to the show proper... as far as classic series companions go, while I certainly like most of them, she and Sarah Jane were alone in the top tier.
I wouldn't mind seeing Luke Smith return, maybe not as a Companion, but like in an episode or two of Doctor Who to let us catch up on what happened after (I guess) Sarah Jane's passing. I could see him having stepped up and taken over Sarah Jane's adventures and perhaps one of those adventures would bring him in contact with the 13th or 14th Doctor. Of course, at the end of it, the Doctor would ask if he would like to come along and he would decline, saying something like, "I'm going to keep doing what my Mom was doing, in her honor."
Paul McGann was offered the role again in the BBC reboot. But he said he'd do it but said he would rather that they find someone who really WANTED to do it.
I would love to see more of Jo Martin, David Bradley, and Paul McGann's Doctors. Companion-wise, I'd love the Paternoster Gang to return as well as Rani Chandra (even though she's dating the Master).
The first companions of my Thirteenth Doctor would've been Ace and her daughter. After leaving the Seventh Doctor, Ace got married and had a daughter, Penny. Romana would have also met my Thirteenth Doctor and helped him against Rassilon putting him on trial again while he takes over Gallifrey with the Cybermen
I liked these ideas and agree with all of them. One character I would like to either see on screen or know the fate of is Jenny from the Doctor’s Daughter episode during the Tennet era.
I've argued for years that bbc should do a multiple spin off shows, and one of them would be "untold tales of the doctor" where they grab any former doctor willing to do it, granting them an episode. Some of the actors are still more than capable (obviously the new who doctors could still perform as themselves, but as mentioned Paul McCann could also do an episode-for the others you might be stuck doing an animated episode.-- although I have also posited that if a doctor regenerated, it creates two beings, a new regenerated time lord, and a second being that is a member of the species where the regeneration happened, so if it happened on earth they become human and age normally... allowing us to tell stories with the aged doctors who are stuck on earth... yes I know it's a cop out, but it allows us to get earth based stories with the doctor, featuring actors who have aged passed Gallifreyan standards)
I would love to see the Meddling Monk return as well. I have a episode concept where it would see the return of Jack Robertson but in the end he would die at the Monk's hands. The Monk bored and trying to find a time to meddle and ends up traveling to the future which is a Dystopian future led by Robertson and The Monk wants to prevent it by Meddling with his history to ensure Robertson would die but after learning more about him, he becomes disgusted and enraged by his behavior which leads to him not only wanting to kill Robertson but also to want to make him suffer his whole life.
It's kind of funny. One of the biggest things that made people not like Paul McGann's Doctor, was the love interest side. Yet that ended up being a big part of the next several Doctor's.
I don't want an 8th Doctor Time War spinoff show, because honestly the audios do a better job of depicting the Time War than the TV show could ever do, regardless of how good the writing is. What I would like to see on TV is the Eighth Doctor meeting a modern Doctor, either 13 or 14, and see his reaction to realising that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that the war isn't hopeless. I miss the wide-eyed, charismatic and romantic Eighth Doctor from the Charley audios, as after losing Lucie & Alex and nearly losing Susan to the Daleks he becomes more brooding and pessimistic, and this only intensifies during the Time War. I'd love to see a scene like the one in the 50th Anniversary where the War Doctor is able to be the Doctor again for a moment, it's so cathartic seeing that after listening to the John Hurt audios, and McGann deserves a moment that like to show he is definitively still the Doctor after all these years

I honestly think Susan should NEVER return to the show. It's a special thing that should not be seen by the viewers on TV. A journey the Doctor must take without us since it's personal
If ever Susan were to return, I'd want it to be at the show's end. And if you ask me, Doctor Who in a few years should end. It has limitless potential and the BBC are putting that to waste. Most diehard fans have given up on it now and imo its hit a dead end.
I completely applaud your #1 pick. Paul McGann was magnificent as the 8th Doctor and still has the talent to portray him if given a chance. However, I'd recommend bringing back the Doctor's Daughter, Jenny from Series 4. She had a great introduction and then was never seen again. I'd also like to see more of River Song. She never fails to please when she shows up.

Hes been doing audio books non stop since 2000, and most of them are brilliant, he is THE big finish doctor, though 5-7 started it then 4th joined and now 9 and 10 have joined the mix too. And no,no more River Song, her arc is complete, unless of course you want to go back to the library and face the Vasta Narada again!

I'm not interested in seeing River Song in the Library again, but you can always use her from her life before that happened since she keeps meeting The Doctor out of order...."The Husbands of River Song" is a good example where they found a way to put her with the 12th Doctor.
Whilst Ace hasn't returned on-screen for Doctor Who, she is mentioned in The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4 episode "Death of the Doctor" where Sarah Jane revealed she had founded a charitable organization known as "A Charitable Earth" which had raised millions of pounds. Behind the scenes, Russell T. Davies said in an interview with Doctor Who Magazine, he wanted to do it a future episode, but due to the untimely passing of Elisabeth Sladen, it was not to be. However, RTD did bring Ace back during the webcast "Farewell, Sarah Jane" for the Doctor Who LOCKDOWN RU-vid Channel, where it was revealed that she was the new owner of the K9 Mark III. Ace did however make an appearance for the Doctor Who spinoff "Class", albeit not a televised return, but through the medium of audio via Big Finish.
Since the Sisterhood of Karn is an offshoot of Gallifreyans, it would be very appropriate for them to host refugees from the destruction of Gallifrey. Romana and the General might be hiding out with them.

Yes, you have some fun ideas. I'd like to see other adventures with the other doctors and companions crossing over and/or even 'unseen adventures'. Bring back some of the love. Mostly the new series starting with the 9th Doctor, but not exclusively.

Okay, here's my suggestion: bring back susan (make it a new regen if you like) and reveal that the master was lying. The doctor did have a cycle of 13 lives before this cycle and had had her memory erased BUT she wasn't the timeless child, it was Susan. The Doctor didn't know specfically that she was the timeless child, just that she was being experimented on by the Timelords and broke her out as the first regen and sort of adopted her as his granddaughter.
As a SJA fan it would be amazing to see luke and K9 to return as probable subsitute if Captain Jack Harkness ever left the show or as a companion of the doctor
K9 technically has 2 shows, I know people like to just forget his 2009 tv show, K-9 a spinoff from Australia, I mean Sesskasays did a reaction to the first episode, something I didn't expect to see
Leela was meant to in Arc of Infinity, but i think that she was unavaliable, so Nyssa replaced her instead. Also, i think that Rani Chandra (Anjili Mohindra/SJA) should make a return as a DW Companion

Whilst I agree Sarah Jane needs proper closure within the Tv Show, I do feel that the characters including Luke, Maria, Clyde, Rani, Sky and K-9 should also appear in order to settle those characters story’s as well. I understand why the show was cancelled, it was a sad reason, but I do not see why these characters can not return
The Rani! She needs to come back. Michelle Gomez was an absolute treat as Missy, but now that the Master/Missy's story-arc is wrapped, the show needs a good recurring villain. Daleks are so much YAWN. For the purposes of storytelling, another villain who is also a timelord is perfect, because it makes the Doctor genuinely vulnerable. One of the NuWho's biggest flaws is all the *deux ex machina* .
I agree that those mentioned should return, although most are gonna be old now like Susan foreman & ace, but my favourite to return has to be Paul McGann as he’s never had a lot of screen time
I have said all this time, bring Paul McCann back in reset Dr Who with having him a 3 season stint in the Time War, with him regenerating into a John Hurt look a like doing another 3 seasons. This would give Dr Who a shot in the arm to resurrect it!
I have always thought that we should have Sky Smith cross over to "Doctor Who". The war between the Fleshkind and Metalkind seemed interesting to me. And I think we should have seen more of that...
Their are villains I would love to see return that have been thought to return but have never returned. The Rani. The Rani was one of the few Time Lord villains who was good. She has not been brought back for the new series and I would love to see her return. Omeg. If they wanted to undo the damage that Chris Chibnall did, they could use Omega to do it. The twist at the end of the last series chose to ignore a lot of Doctor Who history to come up with one story line. They could use Omega to maybe say The Master worked with Omega to do what he did and it wasn't real
Paul Mcgann needs to come back,it just doesn't feel right that on screen we have numerous series of the 7th,9th,10th,11,12 and 13th Doctors but one movie of the 8th Doctor, Big Finish have probably done him justice but its not the same as watching something with your eyes
There’s no reason why Paul Mccan can’t just become the doctor again as the 15th regeneration, if the doctor can choose their face in Capodi’s reign then there’s no reason the doctor can’t choose their face again, could be chosen as a face of peace maybe.
Honestly Paul should take over as the Doctor now. Don't tell me that, a way couldn't be found to make it happen, with good enough writing, anything can be done. It would certainly give people a reason to get excited and return after... Recent developments shall we say?
Ironically, Susan, Romana, Leela and Ace have returned in off-screen media. All of them have actually been involved in the Time War, though Ace's memories of it were erased and she was sent back home. She also appeared in an audio drama based on the spin-off Class and a novel that featured her meeting the Thirteenth Doctor. She was also intent on returning in Series 5 of the Sarah Jane Adventures (which would've explained why she and the Doctor parted ways), but Elizabeth Sladen's passing away stopped this. Also, there have been some spin-offs that I don't think a lot of people know; first off, K-9 has had two spin-offs. The first was the "failed spin-off attempt" K-9 and Company which featured how K-9 first ended up with Sarah Jane (and was cancelled because the newly-appointed head of the BBC at the time disliked the idea of a spin-off). The other was simply called "K9" and it was produced in Australia by a couple of companies outside of the BBC, Park Entertainment and Stewart & Hall Entertainment. K-9's voice actor John Leeson and one of his creators Bob Baker were involved in the show's production which featured K-9 in a model completely different to the one we know him to have. It didn't feature any characters that had appeared in the show (and sadly only ran for one series), though it did make several references to the show. Also, the first time Kate appeared within the Whoniverse (Doctor Who Universe) was in another spin-off called Downtime (in which she was played by a different actress to Jemma Redgrave who went on to play her in the show itself). It featured her alongside her Dad (Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart), Sarah Jane and former Second Doctor companion Victoria Waterfield against the Great Intelligence and the Yeti. She also appeared in another spin-off called Daemons Rising.
None of those things are going to happen because of who is running the show in terms of the actual show runner and the executive in charge of him. Unless the new director general of the bbc gets rid of both of them, nothing will steer them off course and the show will be as dead as Star Wars is before the Mandalorian came along. Maybe we need a side show, like Romana or the Corsage (Mentioned in the Doctors Wife) to sneakily make it back. Torchwood is never coming back and they using Barrowman like they used Chewbacca in the last Star Wars movies. “Oh look fans! Someone you like who we’ve not fecked up!” Bit too based in reality, sorry.
Has anyone else noticed Graham might be psychic? He has both been a telepathic receiver for a nightmare goddess and was the only one who could see ghosts in the Mary Shelly episode... (Don't get me started on how a sentient universe seemed to see him as easiest enough to read so it could pose as his dead wife...)
Did WhoCulture forget that Chibnall killed off UNIT in Spyfall? And Kate Stewart may have been introduced in a way they found interesting in "The Power of Three", but she had very little to do. Saying Moffat wasted her in her appearances ignores the amount of actual growth she showed in episodes like the Zygon Invasion and the Zygon Inversion. And honestly, does anyone think Chibnall is the person to do this? Also, the 7th and 8th Doctor should get more love than the revival series has given them. I'd be up for a proper 3 seasons of Paul McGann's Doctor.
@@SuperFunkmachine Even before Spyfall, Chibnall had written UNIT as a joke during the first New Year's special he did, and just decided the government wouldn't do anything else to deal with alien threats they knew were present and coming. That's not budget cuts, that's bad writing.
Paul McGann’s Doctor is fantastic, regardless of where he’d fit in the timeline. I don’t even care. Aside from just wanting better stories overall, he’s definitely my favorite potential addition. Luke Smith is such an obvious companion that it’s frustrating how he was never brought in.
There was a BF story (involving the Daleks and Doctor 7 (S. McCoy)) where Ace was contacted by a Time Lord Agency (think Section 31 on Star Trek) and she was promoted/elevated to Time Lord and given a TARDIS. It turns out she had been a Time Lord all along......
The original plan was that the doctor was training her to be a timelord and that she would have left the show when she went to galifrey. In big finish she fights with the timelords but after one adventure they wipe her mind if the time war and return her to earth. But from what I can remember she was always a human, they just made her a timelord.
I kinda want to see Me & Clara come across the Doctor's timeline. That would be very interesting, even though I'm not the biggest fan of either of them.
