Just wanted to stop and say thank you so much..the GOAT of free resources. I sat down and studied just about everyday and was able to get an acceptable score (51) of the ASVAB/PICAT and the job of my dreams! To anyone who feels discouraged or feels like they are not the best in math, just watch these videos(every single one), stay discipline, and stay consistent. I was not the best in math so if I can do it, you can too. Best of luck to everyone!
Hey grammar I’m at meps rn I just wanted to thank you a lot I went from a 12 to a 36 Ik it’s not much but considering English is my second language and being horrible at math, it’s good enough for me. Thank you bro couldn’t do it without you 👊🏽
Same here English is my second language and I suck at math 😭 I took the test 3 times already and I failed and now I will be taking the test again but I had to postpone because I got better with the English part but math is so bad
I took the test on Monday and failed with an 8, the recruiter told me that I’ve done very well on mathematical knowledge and paragraph comprehension but not so well on arithmetic reasoning and word knowledge and that if I have done well on those 2 then I would’ve passed. Word knowledge isn’t that bad to me even though it’s random words but it’s just the arithmetic reasoning that damage my score so bad since it has to add up with my mathematical knowledge to increase my score well. So I am here because someone recommended to learn the arithmetic topics I need to know through this channel since I got a month and a half to retest again lmao.
Thankfully, my channel has everything you need to learn the ins and out of the Arithmetic Reasoning subtest of the ASVAB. In fact, I would check the following resources out: 1. Free ASVAB/PiCAT Math Boot Camp (500+ Practice Test Questions): ru-vid.com/group/PLhlU-GzAQeG2ete7N8QjR2dDN_CaIH67z 2. A Review of Word Problems for the ASVAB/PiCAT ru-vid.com/group/PLhlU-GzAQeG3zhaPinOPkVweB2TjO22Li Good luck!
for question 9 i solved it very differently. I first subtracted 96 from the 92, which equals out to 4. I then took the 4 & I added it to the cars sold already being 5,7,7, and 3. and once I’ve done that i got at final answer of 26! I find it really interesting how there’s many ways to solve math problems… thank you for helping me so far in this journey…
I thought about you today I’m currently at meps thank you you I pass with a 82 and also did well on my verification test keep doing what you’re doing mr hero
I previously scored a 6 the first time I took the Asvab but today I got a 31 or below when I took your practice Asvab my goal is 50 or above but I’ve been studying more then I used to these videos are helping me memorize the tricks much easier and I’d rather be more prepared then ever for when I take the Asvab again because I only have two tries left
The thing I struggle most with is figuring out which operation to use in these word problems. I know practice is key though, thank you for all your videos 🙏🏼
If you learn problem-solving techniques, you'll know how to solve the vast majority of problems without really needing to know what operation to use. I discuss that in this video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oROL4CVfC3E.html
Hey grammar hero I did #4 with a different way but still got the same answer as you. What I did is 5•6=30 and I knew it was right because 3•6=18 and I added 30+18=48. That gave me the answer for the tree height lol
That works, too. Since these are very easy questions, you should be able to solve some of these questions mentally (i.e., without having to work anything out). Of course, if I solved all of these questions mentally, then I wouldn't be able to make a video showing people all of the steps!
@@GrammarHero either way your video helped a lot and I really appreciate the time and effort you put into the video so other people can pass the ASVAB. YOU’RE A TRUE HERO 🗣💯
I took the asvab and got a 7 now I’m studying to take it again it’s pretty hard for me to stay focused when studying especially math but I pray this time i pass
Yooo grammar hero, currently at Meps right now. I passed with a 48!! Thank you good sir, you truly are a wonderful person. Thank you once again and god bless.
@@John-li6sg it’s grammar Hero’s practice test playlist, look through his playlist section and you’ll be able to see them. Try to watch all of them and I’m sure youll pass
My channel literally has every thing you need to pass, and it's all free. I've had people go from scoring in the teens to scoring in the 80s after a month of studying. The more you study, the easier it will get.
@@GrammarHero I’ve been watching your videos and little by little I’m catching up, I took a practice test yesterday to see how I’m doing and I scored pretty good on English but not on math so my recruiter had to postpone due to failing a practice test yesterday. Thank you so much!
One quick question. I feel like these questions you give us are pretty challenging. Though I am learning a lot which I want to thank you. Are these questions suppose to be more challenging than the actual ASVAB? If it is then it will seem smooth to me when I take it.
Hi Grammar hero, do you have a website where I can take practice Test ? I scored a 15 at Meps and I got recommended to watch your videos and I cant wait to study your work.
@@GrammarHero I want to join the Marines and right now I'm thinking about motor transports but probably going to change that depending on my asvab score.
I need to get a line score of 110 for AR and VE. I get over 55 on my asvab but the job I want needs those line scores. What do you think a study guide should be

so its better to get all easy questions in the beginning of each subtest so that we get a higher score is that how i am understanding it? i mean of course i want to try and get a perfect 16/16 on this sub test AR.
Since the test is computer-adaptive, you want to correctly answer as many questions as possible, especially at the beginning of each section of the test! Don't skip any questions!
Hey Hero I just got back from taking my verification test for the PiCAT and now trying to prep for the EDPT. Is there anything you can recommend yourself as a actual study plan? And again thank you so much for your videos I watched the arethatic 27 question video and the 50 question mathematic video and there was nothing I did not know on the test.
I'm glad to hear that, but as for the EDPT, I really don't think there are any resources out there that you can use to prepare specifically for it. As I understand it, the EDPT is used to evaluate one’s basic ability to learn a military job that involves computer programming. Try your best and let the chips fall where they fall. If you're interested in learning to program, you could always enroll in a class at your local community college. Generally speaking, most computer science majors also have to take a math class called "Discrete Mathematics," which really helps lay the foundation for logical thinking and computer programming. Nonetheless, here is some good info about the EDPT: www.thebalancecareers.com/the-electronic-data-processing-test-3332703 Good luck!
@@GrammarHero Thanks, I went to GSU for computer science for a year and have a solid grasp on basic and a little bit of advanced Java and python, I had a 3.7 GPA but hated college life because of all the activities that normal college kids do. So I am trying to get 3d0x4 (computer programming) in the air force and then retrain into a 1b4x1 (cyber warfare specialist) to set me up as a contractor when I get out and get a bunch of certifications to set me up after my military career. Or CTN in the navy and get into the ION pipeline.
That sounds like a great plan! Do your best on the test, and you should be fine! Nowadays, you can become very proficient at a programming language by taking a self-paced course on Udemy.com for like $10.00. If college didn't work out, maybe a $10.00 course on Python will be worth it. If you qualify for the computer programming job, that's great, but if not, there are a lot of other technical career paths in the AF. Good luck!
Just wanted to stop by and say thank you, Grammar Hero! ❤🎉 You’re a life saver. My memory was refreshed after watching your videos and doing your practice tests on your website. I passed ASVAB with a score of 72, didn’t expect it was only hoping a at least 50 but I got more than that. Thank you for you help! 🫶🏻🙏
