The question tells you what to do. Let's replace polynomials with numbers. For example: What is 5 subtracted from 10? 10 - 5. What is 2 subtracted from 4? 4 - 2. What is 5 subtracted from 2? 2 - 5. What is 5x + 1 subtracted from 5x - 2? 5x -2 - (5x + 1).
@@GrammarHero First time I took it my score was 27 and that was 10 years ago I was 18. Ive been studying for a couple of days now but I still can’t get good scores on the practice tests.
If you want harder questions, look at my Math Boot Camp Playlist. Here: ru-vid.com/group/PLhlU-GzAQeG2ete7N8QjR2dDN_CaIH67z Generally speaking, the test isn't hard, as long as you are good at the fundamentals.
I'm 40 and I didn't graduate high school. I am amazed how many of these videos I still remember the process/formulas for. Who else amazes themselves sometimes?
@mrgearbox Truthfully, you can solve this one several ways, but since you don't get a calculator on this test, the easiest way is usually the best way.
Do you have a video where you explain what step to take first doing this exercises? Thats my biggest problem. When I think I should subtract ,you do something else like multiply, and when I think about adding you divide or something. Im frustrated man, I was wondering if you had a video explaining this.😩
If you want to do it with tricks, you can do it like this. 10% of 5000 is 500 and half that is 250, so 250 is 5% of 5000. multiply 250 by 3 or divide 750 by 250 and you get 3 or you keep adding 250 to itself till you get 750 either of these ways you get the answer 3. So you get the answer 3 years.
Yes that is a logic, but just as logical is 49; arrived at by differences are odd numbers in progressive sequence, 5, 7, 9, 11, so next 13 so added to 36
@grammarhero I thank you so much. Your video helps me passed my asvab test and I will be shipped next week for BCT. i appreciate your effort and hard work to help all of us who wants to join military. I wish you continues success in your life.
The straightaways plus the 64m on both the sides if you ran it in a rectangular path gives you 328m, since it's curved you know it will be slightly longer, so the answer is 400m , easy
Thank you for these videos! I scored at 44 on my practice test in the recruiters office.. and with the help of these videos I scored in the 75 percentile allowing me to get the job I wanted. Thank you !
You see at the top how it says reasoning, we know that we are going by intervals of 30 since theres no fractions or decimals we know it is going to be 360 since all other answers 30 can't fit into. The math is actually helpful when there is fractions or decimals tho lol. Just some advice if youre struggling with time on tests try to run through some by using some quick logic and reasoning
Thank you so much Grammar Hero!! Without studying I was at 18 but after viewing and using your practice tests I was able to score a 70 on the asvab and qualify for the jobs I wanted!!
I got a 83 afqt and I only studied MK and AR for 2 weeks! 2/3 hours a day!! im going navy!! thank you so much!!! I literally could not do basic middle school/high school math back when I was in school but now I can thanks to you!
Tried using 'real scientific calculator '. 4 minus 2 = - 2 Then the key function (y to power x) -2 power 4 answer is 16. This is confusing. Yes, Google calculator answers is minus 16, similar process
The answer would be 16 if the question said “value of (-2) to the fourth power then you would use (-2)(-2)(-2)(-2) which turns into positive 16 but since the question is asking “value of -2 to the forth power (NO PARENTHESES). Then you use -(2•2•2•2) which is -(16) thus giving you the answer -16
