Bro that literally happened to me I wanted to try to jump up and land on my skateboard but there was a crack and I went flying and for about 2-3 weeks I had a bruise
You gotta try to take some weight off ur board and that way it’ll go over the crack, so don’t actually jump, but like jump but don’t take your feet off the board. If that makes sense.
I hope after 2 years you’ve found a spot you feel comfortable practicing. I recently started really getting into skating at 24, and it can definitely be a challenge to not feel like you’re being judged by everyone but it’s been a really fun outlet for me
I learned a lot *_now all i need is a skateboard_* Update: i still did not get one probably will not since bcoz of the pandemic and also how it's a trend now so it's abit annoying
I came back to this video after 3 years because this is the official video that got me into skateboarding as soon as I saw this I went out to try to find my walmart skateboard couldn't find it ended up buying one from a freind for $8 and started skating. Now I've got 360 flips on lock but more importantly I've made alot of friends through skating and I dont know were I would be without it so I just came to say thank you :)
I personally ride older boards (the overall fell and shape is more fitting to me) but I do have newer boards, Wal-Mart boards are not the right choice, I'd recommend Santa Cruz boards with independent trucks and slime ball wheels. I also enjoy anti hero boards, the only ting is they're a little pricey.
Thats literally so awesome. Just watched this vid after i guess 7 years after it came out? Cause ut looks like the comments r 7 years ago😭😭…but hopefully i can learn the last one idk how to stop
I love how this channel is so organized. You can easily navigate and find a how-to video on a trick you want to land. All other skate channels have video names like I JUST GOT A CHEAP SKATEBOARD+ RIDE SKATE LEGIT BRO LOL
Aaliyah Michelle ooof- are you okay?? Hope you ar healing alright! (Sorry about I’m late u posted this comment 10 months ago but I just thought that it probably hurts) have a great day anyways!
This channel is honestly the best skateboarding channel on RU-vid. I have a board on the way it should be here tomorrow can’t wait I’m gonna binge soo many of these to try to get better. Subbed with post notifications on, Thanks for the content!
Him: Do This. Me: Mmm, OK.. I think I got this. Also me: just started skateboarding and has no good balance. My leg and other body parts: AYE bruh, why we broken?
Great video I got over my fear of rolling ollies by bonelessing every god damn thing I could find in every possible way I could. Being good at the boneless early on was my number one thing that bridged the gap between stationary tricks and rolling ones. 180s, on ledges, off ledges, over obstacles, on top of obstacles, landing switch, popping switch, you name it you can boneless it. If you're trying to break down a scary trick, find a way to mock it up with some variation of a boneless and build some confidence that way, plus since you're so good at them, it'll still look fucking sick while you're just practicing. Boneless is a great tool for me. Your mileage may vary but honestly give it a shot.
this does work i always had problems with rolling ollies but stationary ollies were perfect and i couldn't figure out why but when trying the few other tricks in this video including boneless it just made them so easy
You are literally my most favourite skating channel. Like every single video is made so straight up and simple, yet with a lot of helpful little tricks nobody than an experienced skater can know. Thank you very much, you're helping me a lot with making progress in a short period of time👑
I finally figured out why I like your videos so much. Not only are you an amazing skater and explain tricks with incredible detail, your voice is soothing and clear without making it monotonous. You sound smart (if that makes sense). Great videos, keep up the great work! You should be number 1 in skateboarding videos.
It’s crazy how I used to be able to do half these tricks no problem when I was a half my age younger. I’m 22 now and started skating again & its a lot harder now. 😭😭
the complete opposite for me, i couldn't do any of this when i was 13, but now in my 40's! everything makes sense, i can pull off most of these and even ollie better, trying to get the kickflip back is a little easier but falling is WAY worse and my wife is afraid im going to break something lol so im not sure how far im going to take this mid life crisis but it should be fun to watch (videos series coming soon )
as someone who skateboard for 2 years i have never though of doing tricks but becuse of my heath i wanna get back out there everyday and try a new trick so thank you for this video it was helpful i will watch it everyday until i get better at skateboarding
Samee but I'm not very good at snowboarding so I'm planning on improving my skills at snowboarding by skateboarding hope I could some tricks for snowboarding as well 🤭
:O oh boy do I like to "FALL OVER AND DIE" I have to hand it to him, VLSkate does have some of the best skateboarding tutorials! Keep it up man, your awesome!
wow, this video actually shows easy tricks for a beginner as other crappy videos made me pretty much give up. Thanks for bringing me back into the art of skateboarding! 🤗
Are you okay?? 🥺🥺🥺Hope you are! (Sorry I’m late to comment) Get we’ll soon dude! :(( i know what it feels like to hurt 🤕 yourself. It’s painful:( Hope your okay 😔😖😢
Bro you helped me so much when i started skating.. I just loved the chill music and the whole vibe of ya vids Now that i have been skating for over 4 years i can just come back to these vids and say ty :D
Tip: first I'm the same way beginner stuff is hard, but first : get really comfy on your board. ..you don't need the nicest one just don't have a Walmart board 2. Learn to kickturn which gets you used to adjusting your weight on your board ...3. Before anything learn to hop on your board, run and hop on it and the first part of any comply or strawberry milkshake tricks (the maneuvering with your foot) then ..learn to boneless down curbs and up curbs and Chinese Ollie ..those are my tips ...and these get you really comfy before anything else it's about to be a year since I've started skating and I'm up to boneless now :)
Thank you so much, I've been watching your videos for a week and just practising and you helped me alot and I can slowly skate now! I'm really happy. Thank you again! :D
Veronica Crawley Falling is apart of skateboarding. You will fall far more times than you will land. It's just how it goes. After you fall about 10~ times it just becomes normal.
Veronica Norene i broke my arm, then i quit the whole thing because i was too scared. Just try it, maybe you will end up like me, but don't make the same mistake as i did.
only been skating about a week and the only place I have to skate are the basketball courts down the street from my house. roads are to rough and no sidewalks. so I'm barely getting comfortable just standing and push. I am scared to hippie jump lol and switch just feels so awkward and uncomfortable but I'm sure I will get there.
But my streets are super rough and almost gravel roads. I know bigger will help some what. I am on 51mm 90a wheels I was thinking of getting 53mm 80 or 85a.
Tamara T. Acually i edited one of the typos right after seeing it when i posted the comment i just didnt she the other typo. So basiclly all you have against me is that im making typos
Sooo sickk. If you roll past someone and hit a string 4-5 tricks, nose pickup, that cool drop, keep rolling. Sick set. I'm learning again after 15+ years. Building my board this weekend
Thanks for this man! Really an ideal video for a beginner that doesn't know how to Ollie well yet (Which seems to take a while) I think these tricks will help keep me interested in skating while I get the basics down. Thanks man! All I have been trying before this are standing shove-its and ollies, it gets old pretty quick! As a result I broke my arm trying to drop into a bowl hahaha so back to the flat ground for me for a while! This video is my new homework assignment!
Zuwark Gaming Yeh thanks Braille is quite good, I just find that Aaron guy a bit annoying. Plus this video has 10 tricks in one which is a nice compilation
I've just started skateboarding at 47!!!! Your videos give me a lot of confidence and make me feel I am not being stupid...if I look a bit stupid on my board :)
Im in the same boat as well. The motion of jumping with one foot and bring it back up is just awkward for me, but its not a fear issue. Idk i've been practicing caveman as a practice step, still not helping.
