Gorgeous plants! I’m having a tough time with roots rotting in my phals, even in an airy mixture. but I made my first order on repot me, so I think the higher quality of potting medium will help!

The Psychopsis Mariposa is the opposite of anything robotic or manmade in my humble opinion. Nature produces such exquisite forms. The Mariposa is very wavy, curvy and has what the Taoist would call Li. Perhaps she looks unusual to some, but if you take a look at nature there are forms far more unusual out there. Nice video!

Gorgerous! Somehow, my ludicia discolor just barely survives in pot, but it thrives in my terrarium so much, that it just takes over it.

So I went to an orchid greenhouse for the first time ever. I got a bulbophyllum membranaceum - I liked the texture, and I didn't mind the extra watering/care. But now that it's home, I find myself getting nervous about it?? I did like the idea of it being mounted - another reason I got it was its ability to maybe form a wall of plant someday. It has several leads on it coming off its greenhouse mount, and part of me wants to put it on something bigger so that those new leads don't dry out so quickly. Does my intuition sound correct? It's not particularly dry or humid where I live.

My vanilla orchid is planted in the ground in my greenhouse! I almost never water it because it seems to get enough water from the misters that I have for evaporative cooling. Hopefully it will bloom next spring and I can practice pollination!

The Prosthechea vitellina looks amazing! What kind of substrate would you recommend for it? Since it doesn't tolerate drying out too much I'm thinking that a mixture of bark and sphagnum might be appropriate. Am I right? I do realise this video is 2 years old, but I need to know :)

Hi Dani! I absolutely love your videos. They have helped me so much! I have a Phal that the aerial root tips turned completely grey when I had bought it. Then all of a sudden the root tips are growing green tips again. Is this normal??

Hi Danni, I love your channel I always watch your videos. I have a problem and was hoping you could help me. My phal has 3 leaves on each side, but the 3 on the right side are completely wilted and the 3 on the left side are perfect and perky. What's going on?? Wei Hsiang Lin yeah I’m pretty sure a bunch of encyclias were reclassified as prostecheas somewhat recently.

Hi Danny! I've got a question. You always tell us that water in the crowns of orchids ist really really bad. So if I make a terrarium with "real" rain, how can I avoid crown-rotting ?? Would something like wind or ventilation help ? Sry for my bad english and btw thx for your grat vids :)

Most orchids in nature grow upside down. If you're planning on having an orchid in your terrarium, I would recommend mounting a dwarf-size orchid on a piece of bark. Mount it either sideways or upside down. (Don't forget to research how to do it before going through with it.)

I noticed that you touch your orchids sometimes. Does this damage them? My family scolds me for touching mine! Also I have a brassavola nodusa tiny stars for 4 years, no blooms. What am I doing wrong? It is mounted on a piece of teak wood. With a ball of spaghnum in the back. It gets dipped when dry. It has roots and is actively growing.
