Pre amnesia doctor is such a fascinating character. We, as the player, know they were quite an awful person before losing his memory. Yet when he see him in Vigilo he acts so calm and even understanding. This duality was amazing and it just makes me want to find out more about the story. Deffinetly one of the best events so far
I think that the Doctor is fundamentally a good person, but as the war in Kazdel proceeded, he was forced to use even more extreme and brutal tactics. This broke something in him, something which caused W and Kaltsit to have that kind of attitude towards them.
@@aakarshasoka6335 I remembered scout said something like they shouldn't have drag The Doctor into this war and how it affected him. By the time W and Ines joined Babel he's already somewhat changed. W describes the feeling of her first encounter with The Doctor as something like uneasy and intimidating. Then Ines with her chess player quote. His strategies at that time also seem to be indeed cold and ruthless. that's why W keep saying "Retreat? Keep casualties to a minimum? hard to imagine I'm hearing those words form your mouth" when we failed the mission.
@@aakarshasoka6335 We still not seen anything like that yet even in Vigilo,we just seen him being pretty much normal person and in some way i even can relate myself to Pre-Amnesia doctor tho
Well, the only things we know are from the perspective of _coworkers/underlings and bystanders_ . After all, the only one we show our true colours would be out closest friends and family. Other people only seen the choices and their results, not the thought process of pre-amnesia Doctor himself. It's nice to see _who's_ behind the mask that everyone's been talking about.
No one actually knows if Doctor was atually that awful pre amnesia, well Vigilo kinda proven it wrong. We got to know that only from Kalsit and W's story that Doctor was pretty cold pre amnesia and they hated that Doctor, and also cuz of their biased views to Doctor since we were there in the room where Tereshia died. Even before Vigillo, we already know that a lot of operator put their trust on Doctor (yes, pre amnesia doctor) or were in very good terms with Doctor, like Ace, Scout, and Amiya.
Its interesting on how we didn't get to choose any dialogue when Pre-amnesia doctor is present, this shows that Pre-amnesia doctor is already an established character with motive's, thought's, etc. Especially the aura Pre-amnesia had where everyone was relaxed or reassured everything will be fine.
@@deshevardnadze4483 We jump around the timeline all the time. It's just that "pre amnesia" is not the player. I'm pretty sure that scene is also immediately before Theresa' assassination. It's mentioned elsewhere that she dies when Doctor uncharacteristically sent Ascalon away on a mission. And that's exactly what they're talking about.
Kal'tsit says that the dokutah is cold and merciless but probably with his calculations, critical thinking and overall demeanor and personality. Especially with guiding his troops in battle. In the Darknights event, Ines describes the dokutah as "someone who sees others as chess pieces" and it is true for most war generals and even players in chess. *You would not hesitate to sacrifice a chess piece to achieve victory, right?....Right?* But here is the difference. These "chess pieces" or operators are now trusting the dokutah and are willing to put their lives on the line for the mission. Maybe this is what the post-dokutah is experiencing to cause the memory loss: *Guilt* Maybe the dokutah decided that he would have to change his perspective with his allied and see them not as chess pieces...but as allies and family...but only after a great tragedy already happened...Theresa...
Great theory! The idea that dokutah suffers from memory loss due to PTSD from all the comrades they sent into pretty much certain death seems very plausible.
My theory, and this is a long shot, was that due to the fact that apparently soul swapping or soul insertion exists, I was under the impression that they may have swapped souls with Theresa after killing her, therefore changing their personalities while retaining the knowledge, which was why after the spoilers: Latest chapter, Theresa seems to be really sus, agreeing to aid her brother despite knowing the ramifications and what he could do may cost the lives of millions of innocents. It does not fit the saint like personality she held before.
imagine if he was actually 'conscious' for most of his cryo experience and had nothing to do but think about what he has done, eventually growing so terrified of it that he manages to lock the memories away just to keep himself sane.
"constantly observing the work done by the Operators, taking notes, and figuring out ways to improve everything" literally is just the player searching up Arknights farm guides irl
Scout and The Doctor conversation about punishment feels rather like a threat for me. The way The Doctor said it, feels more like it has another meaning to it "tell me a good reasons why i shouldn't punish her(since shes the one who fcked up the operation)" and "I spared you and your subordinate this time, but now you owe me" Remember the Doctor only said that Scout wouldnt be punished, but didnt said he wouldn't punish anyone before scout ask him not to punish Reyka. The doctor even said that she(Reyka) is not worth special treatment like scout and even go as far as saying "Military discipline isnt a bleeding heart operation". Making scout owe us like this would fall in line with how Kaltsit says that we used to be a manipulative piece of shit isnt it?
I wouldn't go so far as to say that he was being manipulative here. It seemed to me more that he did it to teach Scout a lesson, since he ended the conversation saying that Scout should care about himself as much as he cares about others. Doctor didn't want him to be so ready to submit himself, while also letting off an enemy combatant (I assume) easy. So he let her off perhaps as a price paid for Scout's benefit.
@@SofosProject hm... Thats good too..... Now how the fck did the Doctor change from that kind hearted person... To the Demon of Babel? The fck happened?
@@SofosProject But youre not entirely sure thats true isnt it? Im not entirely sure im right either. The way it left ambiguous whether this is the Doctors speech 100 skill in action or not is the point here imo. Imagine being Kaltsit over there seeing these situation played out in front of her, not sure either if the Doctors being manipulative or not. I believe this would irritate her, not enough to make her outright go against us but enough for her to not forseen our "betrayal". Thats why she ask "What is it that you really fight for" isnt it? like she wanted to know if we really are a "good guy" or not, wondering if the past us would answer the same. Or im just pulling shit outta my ass and seeing stuffs that isnt there idk lmao
I believe that the reason Doctor didn't punish Reyka is not really because he wants Scout to owe him a favor but more like Scout is that much of a prominent operator that he made a special exception. Also I don't really think that Doctor was _threatening_ Scout but was rather insinuating that this exception will not happen again. Another thing that I personally hope for pre-amnesia Doctor is that he is actually a little compassionate with sparing Reyka because he genuinely likes Scout as a friend. After all, we could see Scout, Ace, and Doctor being somewhat chummy making bets on the Red box they found. The compassion could be shown through how post-amnesia Doctor behaves when thinking about Ace and Scout, remembering the bet they made about the red box being useful and sentimentally leaving a can of beer near Ace's shield.
That very first record of PRTS, one with the Doctor and Priestess was beautiful. Even if Priestess was brought in only two scenes, the one after Kal'tsit and Doctor terminated the Singer, and the last segment of Pignus, it manage to encapsulate the Doctor and Rhodes Island's the mystery of their origins. I say that the story has a bright future. And something in Pignus that caught my attention, it said that Amiya was the one who decided to save the Doctor, but why was the saving operation started during the Reunion's attack on Chernobog? Why didn't they chose before? Was the operation really planned to happen during the attack?
We still don't know yet. My theory is that maybe the security in the facility where the sarcophagus was located was being guarded by the Ursus military. So attacking or infiltrating the facility would've meant antagonizing a whole country, turning rhodes island into a terrorist organization. So the only choice would've been to wait for something big to happen in the city so that the eyes of the Ursus government wouldn't be on them.
Maybe they sought to use the civil unrest caused by Reunion's protests as cover to hide their movements from the Chernobog local government. That Reunion would actually resort to armed conflict, or a Catastrophe would occur in Chernobog was out of everybody's calculations, resulting in 3 times the expected casualty count.
@@ritwikg.8006 Oh yeah, that would make sense since Kal'tsit and her team did seal the Sarcophagus from Chernobog's control, and the civil unrest will be a good cover up from them getting caught trying to save the Doctor in it.
@@ritwikg.8006 I think the armed conflict is expected. The elite operators are already deployed on the field in Ch. 0. The variables at that moment are Talulah, Mephisto and Crownslayer.
Speaking of Vigilo, i love that during the flashback of Babel doctor, we didn't get to choose the lines as the Doctor spoke their own words like they're a normal character. It really tells us the difference of Pre-amnesia and Post-amnesia. Pre-amnesia doctor is already an establish character with it's motives, personality, etc.
Scout didn't make a mistake. Reyka did. Scout went to save her and covered for her later. Dokutah seen through all of it and that is why he said what he did.
10 facts about *_MY_* Doktah: ~ Always negative sanity ~ Subsists solely on Orirocks and Sanity Potions ~ Is stalked by Enciodas SilverAsh ~ PRTS hates their Autos ~ Is traumatized by Yelena's Black Ice ~ Is traumatized by Chapter 6 in general ~ Despises Bladehelms ~ Accomplished Dorm decorator ~ Never gets Top Op tags ~ Is wholly convinced Mon3tr is the best Waifu Jokes aside, nice vid as always Qaiser. Cheers everyone!
@@yaqinmalul1364 I've been long since finished with the Story progression and am waiting for Chapter 9 with anticipation. The bit about Chapter 6 is referencing the Chill/Frozen status. Yelena is mentioned for killing my Low Op count clears with her random tile bans in VI-6 CM. Hope that clarifies. Cheers!
Kalsit: "You used to be such a cold heartless bastard. I hate you and everything you stand for." Also Kalsit: _She says everyday as she feeds and takes care of you_
My theory on Doctor's memory loss is deep trauma + long coma. With Vigilo, we know that Doctor used to be a nice person, and he was just slowly broken by the war. When he was heavily injured, they placed him in the Sarcophagus, which in turn, put him into a coma. This happened in real life, more than I'd like to admit. Soldiers who were heavily injured that somehow survived their coma state would usually remember only a few, even nothing about their past experiences, but their knowledge of how to handle a weapon, what to do in a certain situation, etc, still persists. Maybe the same happened to the Doctor. He was traumatized by the war, and after killing Theresa(?), He finally snapped. When they finally placed him in the Sarcophagus, his brain defended itself and erased all of the traumatic memories, so that he remembers virtually nothing, not even about himself. His knowledge and wisdom was unaffected, simply because it wasn't part of anything traumatizing. If anything, it was the few things that gave him comfort (By reading for a few minutes, he got his team out of a sandstorm with minimal damage). So his brain kept it in a mind safe. It kept it so well, that the original owner of the knowledge (Doctor) can't access it freely
@@yaqinmalul1364 i dont think so. Pretty sure that isnt theresa but the first demon king. She mention about him being called "wrathful cerulean flame". And if you read guard amiya archive, you will see a story about a sarkaz named kollam who is the first demon king, and also known as "wrathful cerulean flame"
@@yaqinmalul1364 According to the records, the saber wielded by the Sarkaz Lord Kollam was between 0.9 and 1.2 meters long, about 5 centimeters thick, made of an unknown material, black in color, and bore a traditional Sarkaz inscription, which read "here the fighting stops". After succeeding to the throne, Kollam reorganized Kazdel and felt that time in the west had been unkind to the people, so he led some Sarkaz tribes to the east, at which point he vanished from history. According to legend, Kollam had the power to rout his enemies without fighting. Some accounts say that Kollam's enemies suffered a weight several times that of their normal weapons when facing him in battle, finding themselves physically and mentally defeated. If they were lucky enough to survive, they were often maimed. But some referred to Kollam as an enlightened despot, saying that cuts from his blade drew no blood, and anyone wise enough to retreat would survive. However, some ancient texts claim that Kollam's saber was destroyed in battle before he even succeeded to the throne, and that the weapon he later wielded was a fragile illusion born of his Arts. Such claims are inconsistent with Kollam's subsequent performance in Sarkaz conflicts, and few can explain why Kollam would not recast his favorite sword under those circumstances. I speculate that Kollam did have the power to shape weapons with Arts, and this theory is centered on the throne. But that Kollam rarely used his Arts in that way, having once been an adventurer. Of course, it is written that after Kollam's ascension, his saber gave off a greenish light, like a breath of flame. Kollam's famous ferocity led to the blade being dubbed "Wrathful Cerulean Flame". Most of the Sarkaz legends have been lost in the ongoing ruination of Kazdel, which has tremendously impeded historical research. There have been recent calls from Sarkaz scholars to restore their history, but their own research has been poisoned by propagandistic efforts to paint a noble picture of the Sarkaz race.
Vigilo reminded me that I keep playing Arknights to find out more about the Doctor and Rhodes Island. The side stories are great, but if they keep dropping more lore about the Doctor, Kaltsit, Amiya, and Theresa often, I'd be happy af.
@@bluefenneris9009 how would it be tho .. It would be annoying if your loadout keep being shift between your ops loadout and Doctors Ops loadout And maybe the battle would have a difficulty of the doctor placing the unit on place that you didnt want
Considering that the stage pic before deployment says eyeofpriestess, I'm guessing she is the inventor the AI on board the landship, and if we wanna go into gruesome, her brain is hooked to it now, so Kalt'sit doesn't wanna say anything.
When you think about it why does the battle cost doctor's sanity? what if all of them are projection he created inside his mind on how the battle will play out and they are very mentally exhausting.
I think I saw someone in event saying "I like new Docta more cause he feels more human" or something like that. In Vigilo they showed us real difference between old Docta (cold-blooded unemotional strategist) and new one (kind-hearted, feeling one). Even Kal'tsit said - do you really want to become old one? Isn't you good as you are now?
Why the old Docto is cold blooded and unemotional strategist? From what i had seen in all 6 stories, the past doc is far from cold Blooded and unemotional and right now we don’t have enough information.
@@wattozzchimera1956 He literally put theresis down on his backfoot... Old doctor was ruthless as hell... Guaranteeing succesful operation over operator wellbeeing... W seems to scare doctor more than Kalstit
Besides all said here, what I picked up was: - They weren't cruel with his Operators before, but they were very pragmatic on their approaches, valuing the end over the means. - They did something in the past, something that could name them as "saviors", but it was so long ago, nobody remembers, not even Kal'Tsit. - Kal'Tsit may hate us, or at least distrust us. But apparently, the Dokutah does show some interest in her, so at lest one of them is a simp. - Did the Sacophagus caused the Amnesia? We don't know why Dokutah was placed in there for a second time (neither the first one to be honest) so what says it was the machine what caused the loss of memory, or rather whatever caused them to use it? - PRTS, is it an AI or an uploaded person? - And finally: someone at HG thought we haven't suffered enough as of late and give us a Boss gauntlet, I hope this person is fine.
I like how the characters talk about dokutah's strategies and how you can definitely see that the writers reference the way some dokutahs play. Unorthodox, but extremely calculated strategies - three operators in cc, one-tile clears, shift-team bullying, etc. Inconsistent commaiding - clearing stages by yourself and then looking up big brain guides when it gets hard. There was also phantom's story where folinic said that most of ri operators dont know what phantom looks like, only seeing a shadow dashing through the field and that he took a hit for blue poison, you know, the yeet-a-fast-redeploy strategy.
5:49 that was actually just another example of the doctor being big brain. Executing the traitor would make bad impression on other who were also losing faith and worsen the situation. By getting the traitor to commit suicide instead, he made it look like the traitor admit what he did was wrong, and killing himself is a way to amend his mistake, which serve better example for other.
I was surprised by pre-amnesia doctor, I expected him to be a lot more ruthless but it also makes sense that he wouldn't be like that in front of allies and stuff even if ultimately he views them all as expendable
Something important to note is that the Rhodes Island landship was *very old and derelict* when team Babel found it, and it's implied that the core parts of it (and possibly PRTS itself) are essentially ancient lost technology. Depending on the exacts, Doctor may be even older than Kal'tsit.
@@destarker1340 Probably. There's conflicting info about "pure humans" floating around out there that claim to be genuine, we might just have to wait and see. My personal theory is that Doctor is not only older than the fall of previous civilization, but also older than Originium itself and somehow responsible for its creation.
@@destarker1340 No. There are explicitly /no/ humans on Terra (Besides the R6S ops, obviously.) Normal pure humans can't boil coffee in their own mouths.
@@destarker1340 The Doctor very much feels pain. A normal human isn't even going to try because it'll burn the hell out of their mouths. Straight-up there aren't any humans in Arknights besides Ash/Tachanka/Blitz/Frost. Doctor is very much something else entirely.
Another fact about the doctor: the earliest promotional images about the doctor showed them as a female, way back in 2017. That hinted about the possibility to choose the doctor gender at the start of the game, but ultimately they scraped the idea and decided on a faceless and genderless protagonist instead
Something especially interesting to note is there isn't an equivalent male sketch art for the Doctor either. I think there were talks of having a selectable gender for the Doctor early on in the game's development, but I've never seen actual confirmation for it myself. We just have that snippet of a female doctor, who might have just been the default all along, which wouldn't surprise me given HG's slant for female characters as a whole.
Honestly I think that's who Priestess is, kinda a small reference to the development sketches. Though a lot of things kinda suggest the Doctor is male. IE Very flat chest, broad shoulders, taller than almost all female operators, those manly ass hands (seriously you cannot convince me those aren't man hands in photos where he's being taken and put into the sarcophagus).
@@zo4199 if you read the official manga pages in Twitter, dokutah look the same height or slightly taller or slightly shorter than most operators in Rhodes Island :)
@@zo4199 The art isn't of fucking Priestess dude. Doctor wears like three layers of extremely baggy clothing, it is impossible to tell how broad their shoulders are or how big their chest is. The most notable thing about Doctor's hands is the first time we see them they look bloated and unhealthy. The second time they look like they could be Hoshiguma's. Doctor's height has never once been officially quantified. In all of the Anthology mangas they don't seem to be noticeably taller than other operators and in a leak for the anime their height is set to 145cm. There is no 'suggestions' Doctor is male in the game. It's pure copium and blindness.
My headcanon: The doctor was conscious during his stay in the sarcophagus and lost his memory by going mad from the isolation. Also on point 6: There are genuine benefits in being empathetic once in a while. Furthermore, mistaking cruelty for intelligence is self-destructive in the long run. My 2nd headcanon: As far as I know, only Kal'tsit and W have expressed discontent with pre-amnesia doctor. If the doctor genuinely had nothing to do with Theresa's death, this could mean that they feel let down after whatever hardship they endured for her and blame the doctor for it. How justified this blame would be would then depend on whether the doctor was responsible for keeping Theresa safe.
Some lines in Vigilo paired with previous ones seemingly imply that the Doctor made a plan to lure Theresis/his forces out by using Theresa as bait, which she consented to, but something went wrong and Theresa was lost which is why Kal'tsit and W are so pissed with them.
Also in regards to the Doctor being responsible for keeping Theresa safe, they were seemingly terribly injured in the same event, which is why Kal'tsit had to take them to the Sarcophagus in the first place, which is interesting in of itself. Doctor being directly present for the trap has interesting repercussions for whatever the plan actually was.
@@wattozzchimera1956 It's kind of blink-and-you'll-miss-it tied into another line from Vigilo. I misphrased what I meant, though. In Vigilo there is a segment where it talks about how a large amount of Theresis' forces are going after a town and Doctor directs Ascalon to attack Theresis with her forces, leaving Theresa more vulnerable to attack, which she acknowledged and consented to, saying that if worse came to worse she wanted the patients and children to be extracted before her. It (presumably) ended up being a trap, and led to the ambush and injury of the Doctor.
I am kind of sad that we weren't able to learn much about priestess, i also wanted to know a little bit more about theresa, but thats fine, because we were atleast able to learn a lot about the doctor.
The most important thing was that the eyja-dokutah reading fancomic is Indeed canon, i also wonder what 0 sanity doctor really is like, since he's usually working almost 24/7 and his fatigue is not something that most charcacters can directly tell (they talk about it not because they see it but because they rarely see him taking breaks)
In my speculation, most of the time 0 sanity Dokutah is just them dozed out right on their desk. That why almost every operator's idle voiceline (which play when we stay on the home screen for 15+ sec) are them commenting on Dokutah falling asleep.
imagine if priestess is using PRTS as her another form to stay alive, the sacrophagus on Rhodes Island itself since if Priestess was alive during Rhodes Island development thats what i think about
One thing I found interesting enough to stick with me was the bit about being like a 'prophet'. The quotation marks seem to imply that it could have been a title similar to that of priestess, though it could also just be a one off as well.
I've been waiting for this event ever since it came on in CN. So happy to read all the entries in the story and learning bits and pieces of our past! Definetly wanna see more of this type of event rather than the holiday ones.
Tbh I really just want Doct to be like Sajangnim, i couldn't careless about self insert anymore i just wanted to see another person story and their grand adventure
I streamed playing the story mode, watching it with my gang, we got to pre-amnesia doctor's dialogue and way of talking actually spooked us. Absolutely cold, accurate, hard, and just 0 waver
I really like lore based videos on Arknights, it cleared up a few things a failed to catch about pre amnesia doktuh, after reading Vigilo, I'm more intrigued to learn about the doktuhs past
The writing in Vigilo has been some of the best in the game so far. It's pretty impressive what they're doing with what would normally be a blank slate avatar.
Why the AI system called "PRTS" that resembles "Priestess" why they not name it with another name And PRTS also mentioned to be weird AI and much more human than machine I hope we get story about priestess and PRTS later so we can uncover this
This was basically a Vigilo summary but only the details on Dokutah lol (not saying it's bad or anything though). But one thing I didn't know was that the Dokutah's amnesia was special. Maybe I misinterpreted but I genuinely did not know that the Dokutah's amnesia was a bit different in the sense that it was like the Dokutah's memories were "locked out". That is interesting. But man, I really hope Arknights actually shed light on the mysteries they introduced. Before Vigilo, I was only keenly curious about the Bolivian March and what happened to Beagle but now, I am also as curious as to what the Dokutah really did to make W and Kal'tsit so angry at Dokutah.
When the other operators called him a "Prophet" it made me think "Oh! Was Doctor's old codename actually 'Prophet'?" Then I realized that was really stupid. If the Doctor was called Prophet, then they wouldn't be calling him Doctor
number 11: he isn't just smart but also very very deductive, he easily figured out tomimis entire plan and everything and didn't said shit, he also planned everything steps ahead of her. he isnt big brain he is galaxy brain.
While many people looked at the Doctor with reassurance and hope, there was also this certain feeling that the Doctor had no basic human empathy. W's mercenary companion (forgot her name) said that she feels like a pawn in a game of chess, and that the doctor plays the game not looking at the pawns, but at the other player. While currently still unknown as to why, it has been confirmed that Doctor was the one who killed Theresa, and his amnesia is whats keeping W from slaughtering him, as W made a promise to kill everyone involved in her death, and pre-amnesia doctor is number 3 on her shitlist.
Genuinely love game mcs where technically you are the mc, but they have so much mystery behind them and personal motives you don't completely know so it also feels like youre just third wheeling in the story
personally i think that whatever happened to theresa is something she asked doctor to do, and the only person who would have remembered that is now an amnesiac
It's seemingly implied by a few subtle lines in Vigilo itself in context with previous lines that Theresa was being used as bait to draw out Theresis and something went wrong with the plan. I can see it still being something Theresa asked Doctor to do but I find it unlikely since she doesn't seem to make plans like that.
Anyone noticed PRTS can also be pronounced Priestess? I know it's an acronym for Primitive Rhodes Island Terminal Service, but why did HG specifically choose such a weird name, and that acronym (it could have been PRITS)?? I feel like they intentionally made it so it resembles "Priestess', who prolly played a very important role in creating the AI as its first recording was a scene between Priestess and the Doktah.
Something wich I think is important to mention is how the picture of Priestess is named a0000001 or something like that, wich basically implies that it's the very first picture inside of PRTS database, however, in the picture Priestess wear a Rhodes island suit wich is weird since I believe Prts was created during the babel time (not sure tho, gonna need to verify)
What if PRTS wasn't created by Babel but just another system of the landship Babel discovered and managed to turn on? Remember, Babel didn't build Rhodes Island, they discovered it in Rim Biliton, and I think the entire facility was already named Rhodes Island back then (ship name vs company name). Based on information Kal'tsit provided to Theresa. What if Dokuta and Priestess were the original owners of Rhodes Island before Dokuta used the Sarcophagus the first time? If they originally owned the ship, then it would make sense that there would be records of them predating anything Babel.
Im pretty sure PRTS is already in Rhodes island when babel found the RI landship. PRTS is already implanted to the landship since its creation. And the fact that babel found the landship buried in rim billition mean that its been a REALLY long time
Correct me if I'm wrong, Kal'tsit worked on the research on the sarcaphogous in chernobog right? Could it be that the doctor came from there? And that was their first meeting? Plus it would seem that the doctor has been in it for atleast twice now.
I stopped playing arknightd around sept or oct because I don't have a lot of time, even a single weekly anni takes a long time to clear for me, but now I kinda regret it because I missed all of the events these past months. I might comeback at the end of march tho. Everything about arknights is good Art, music, story, characters, events, etc. I sometimes feel like its such a waste to stop playing for playing it for more than a year.
you forgot to mention that doc had a weird acting period that Closure acknowledged. The Doc we saw is totally different from the Doc Hoarder, Ines and W described, and Closure with Closure mentioning a weird acting period, makes you wonder if the doc was influenced to commit the so called atrocities.
Fact no. 0 the doctor have a friend who is located on an alternate universe that instead sending children to war that friend send women and ships to destroy their enemies.
Just my own headcanon The Doctors Arts are making the battlefield into a chessboard that only he can see. Using his Arts doesnt hurt his life force or cause any ill affects aside from his Sanity. (Gameplay enforces this for me.) So many operators and NPC's talk about how the Doctor sees them all as chess pieces. And (eventhough I know it's not exactly canon) but both the beginning and ending trailer of the R6 crossover has the Doctor sitting infront of a large sand strewn chessboard while lifting operators and placing them down. Crushing the enemy with the Operators piece. And at the end of the R6 event the Doctor was shown sitting in front of the same sand strewn chessboard but with the board cleared of enemies. And only with him waiting for another opponent
in lone trail event almost everything has discover about the past... -like who s start the madness in terra(priestest that start all of that, may be doctor too because ...when doctor talk about infection castrathope. everyone will say that doctor is the only one who s have knowledge about that) -doctor and priestes known each other and have longer relationship. -kal sit is clone, she s real name is Ama-10
i like the idea that Arknights is a strategy game simply because the character we are playing is a genius and we are meant to replicate that through the gameplay. Of course, only until you need the help of one of the brightest iteration of the Dokutah, KyostinV
Update: welp, about the amnesia,.. theresa wipe or more technically we could say that she arranged it( tried to translate with cn ver with the little chinese i have picked up)
