My favorite Warhammer story is when a group of Space Marines ran out of ammo whilst fighting some Orcs, so they just shouted "BANG BANG BANG" as they jostled their guns about and the Orcs actually died due to their reality bending minds. The Orcs solution was to just chant "I'm a tank I'm a tank I'm a tank" over and over. Absolutely amazing.

You forgot how when the orks start reaching critical mass you start getting near Krork level orks like The Beast. Being fed a steady diet of ever escalating war makes the orks more numerous, more unified, bigger, stronger, and a hell of a lot smarter.

Additional advantage: To us observers into the 40k universe, they are absolutely endless comic relief in a universe drowning in war, corruption, hopelessness, and imminent doom. These rumbly tumbly cockney-sound buffoons are just so happy, excitable, gungho and hilarious, even after all this time they rarely cease to bring a smile to ap layer's face even when they are forced to fight against orks.

there is a group of orks still fighting a group of tyranids in a non-stop war... it's terrifying to see who would win really.

The only flaw that DA ORKZ have,is that they like killing each other as much (if not more) than killing the other factions of 40K. If the DA ORKZ would unite under one single Warboss and create a massive WAAAAAAGH!!!! they would steamroll the entire known galaxy. The Tyranids would may pose a challange,but even they got their arses handed to them,during the Octarius War. It´s the first recorded instant,where a Tyranid Hive Fleet did a retreat. And don´t forget,the more battles DA ORKZ win,the more powerful they get. In other words,the WAAAAHG!!! who defeated the Tyranid Hive Fleet is now stronger and will be an even more difficult enemy to beat,next time the Nids try to take them on.

The biggest flaw. They are Xenos! Suffer not the Xenos to Live! Seriously, the biggest flaw is that there is never "enuff' Dakka

There are Orks with cunning a Ork war boss took an entire Hive City with barely a shot fired.

Love it! However, touching more on their psychic presence in the warp, as well as Gork and Mork would have made it even better. How they're effectively immune to chaos.

Orks do know Tactics and Strategy. There are Warbosses and Warlords that manage to outmaneuver some of the brightest Tacticians in the Imperium, like Ghazkull Mag Uruk Thraka for example, or the entire Blood Axes Tribe (that actually use planning rather than blindly charging the enemy). It's more like Animal Cunning than actual book smarts we'd normally associate with Strategists.

Wait no smart orks? Um Ghazghkull thrakka, Nazdreg and da biggest of all DA BEAST! All of which have shown a remarkable set of tactics stratagies and kunning.

The Orkz, weren't the green tide we know of in 40k. When they were first made by the Old Ones, they were the Krork who were master engineers and could make almost anything. They knew about their degrading and genetically engineered themselves to remember how to do some things while they slowly became the Orkz. This is the reason why Orkz know how to make machines and weapons despite their intelligence.

Orks definitely feature prominently on all 'top ten Xenos scum to mercilessly purge with fire for the greater glory of the Emperor' lists. The fact that their spore based replication is so profligate just means that the purging has to be extra thorough, and so all the more glorious.

The only Xenos I want *slightly* less dead than the others. They give me a chuckle so let's leave them for last

Honestly I was expecting more info on the lesser greenskins like Grots and Squigs as that really gives them the advantage of the survivability in the sense of a workforce

Honestly the greatest advantage of the Orks is their biology. Might makes right isn't just a behavior, but quite literally the more an Ork wins the bigger, tougher, and more powerful they become, unlocking abilities, technology, and behaviors that can't be easily matched. In the war of the Beast the Ork warlord the Beast was larger than a Primarch, just as powerful, and used technology that gave the best of Imperial tech "at the time" a hard run for its money. And even then an Eldar would comment that the Beast and his forces would be like children to the Orks of the past i.e the War in Heaven. So which logically means that if one were to become successful enough to reach the levels of the original K'orks then the galaxy wouldn't stand a chance.

orks have a singular flaw in that their heads explode if you let them get angry enough. Consider it a funny relief valve, if a waaaagh gets too worked up, and there aren't any weird bois around to channel and disperse it, the waaaagh energy builds up to the point their heads actually explode, and the psychic rebound chains among orks, so entire warbands could have their heads explode all at once. otherwise, orks are as good or better than everybody but they don't usually have the focus or drive to press that advantage and their gods mork and gork are among the very few god-tier entities that directly support their followers and are considerably older and stronger than any individual or combination of the four major chaos gods so they won't fall to chaos either because their gods literally laugh off any attack from chaos.

You forgot that the Orks grow larger and smarter (more cunning) the more they fight.

To explain how orks tech work there is a story. There was an ork driving down a road and his truck stopped working, he gets out and looks under the hood and says"hmm needz mor nails". He the dumps a box of nails in the engine, closes the hood, and continues driving.

You forgot an important bit. Orkz gain strength the stronger their enemy is. An ork that kills more grows in strength and size. This even extends to intelligence, as they face against stronger more technologically advances races their tech improves.

its not that Orks can just "live anywhere" its that they bring their entire self sufficient ecosystem with them. Orks are constantly shedding spores, these spores can grow into more Orks(fighters), Gretchin(labor), or Squigs (food)
