I only buy my clothes from charity shops now, I always try and go for quality items and the fact I'm saving them from landfill as well as giving to a charity is a bonus.

I agree with Vicky wholeheartedly. It's too irrational to be merely penny wise and pound foolish. 💷 We've gotten through the pandemic and all other times which had impeded living. It's not the cost - no - you must gauge and give weight to the value. Significantly, what do you regularly enjoy that will also assist you to prosper ? Also, don't overbuy, remember the law of diminishing marginal returns. There's a time to save and a time to spend. Use your wisdom with discretion accordingly !

Yes I love this, what will assist you to prosper. It’s all about calculated spending, rather than cutting out all spending 👍

You are so right. I'm not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination but i did splurge on really good socks 15 years ago and im afraid i might have to compost them next year. My young daughter is still growing so i don't invest but Walmart socks. Last three washes.

I hear you about the coffee but would suggest a different approach. Coffee is $800 a yr. Buy a machine that makes your favorite coffee and then bank the savings. The machine ($400 or $250 used) will pay for itself within 6mo to a year and the $600 a yr savings afterwards. The savings in a 5% account for 10yrs is $7,749 and over 20yrs is $20,373. Always look for a way to reduce everyday expenses without sacrificing quality.

Back again too , 100% agree in this video , it's all a question of balance As i told you in my last post , i didn't care about sport bets , but after reflexion and exploring this subject , i realized what could happen with good analysis 2 years ago , i went to my tobacco shop just down from my residence and i saw this : 500 000€ won on scratch game at the end of december 2022 , this made me realize that by depriving ourself too much , we could miss out on a huge thing What would you do if you win a lot ? I like asking this question because it reveals our personality , tell me what you think about it 😉

Balance is absolutely key and also personalising it for your own life and your own priorities. Live within your means, but focus your spending on the stuff that you really love.

@@rebeccarendle3706 I am sorry to hear that. Here in the UK we have a number of very easy bank switched paying £200 for 20 minutes work. Bank accounts like Starling and monzo are free to open and have open monthly. I use them as donor accounts.

Frugal living and.... DISHWASHER MACHINE ??? Why on earth anyone might need a very expensive industrial device at home? Dislike, sorry... You're talking about "let them eat cake", not frugality.

I like to think of frugal living as not being something where you live within a set of specific rules about what you can and cannot have. What's a necessity to me, may not be one to you and vice versa. I think frugal habits that work for a single person living in a city, for example, may be very different than that for a large family. My dishwasher saves me valuable time and so for me it's financially and practically worth keeping.

Are you serious? Your comment shows you don’t understand future thinking. Properly outfitting a kitchen with a dishwasher will increase the homes overall market value in the event they wish to sell. It’s also better for the environment as using a dishwasher uses less water than handwashing. Also, in the event that a household member becomes sick or develops a disability it can help to keep the home tidy and clean. This is an investment-not just an expensive toy.
