@BirdKeeperToby There are 2 more references you missed. 1) The City of Wymdon is Clearly based of London and Wymdon Stadium is a refence to Wemberly stadium and the area outside is Wemberly way. 2) The statue/fountine in Wymdon of Corvansqire and Corvanknight is referencing the legend of the Ravens and the crown.
I feel the whole Eternatus story is still unfinished. Like where did it ACTUALLY come from? Is it an Ultra Beast? A space virus like Deoxys? Just so many unanswered questions.
They’re probably doing a sequel or expanded free dlc down the line. There are the gym uniforms from the other gym types we haven’t seen yet which could replace some of the line-up by becoming part of the major leagues. A lot of this game seems to set up for a sequel, including hop becoming the next profesor or fully becoming an assistant like Bianca in B2 W2.
there is another thing too, that is that Eternatus is dead, that is only Eternatus's Skeleton, Eternamax is only a hand so it's not Eternatus's real form, nor is the for of Eternatus you use, there has to be a version of Eternatus where it isn't a Living Skeleton an alive form if you will, FACT it is pronounced E-TER-NA-TUS Eternatus THERE IS NO SILENT T IN THE NAME, i just wanted to put that FACT out there, there has to be a version of Eternatus where it isn't a living dead skeleton, because it is basically Living Dead
@@number39utopiaminecrafter30 Well Eternatus is supposedly based on the Greek God of Death "Thanatos", hence why it looks like a skeleton. Also it's Eternamax form could also be based on the "Ouroboros", a serpentine "dragon" that bites/eats it's own tail, forming an "infinite" loop circle; which fits the "infinity" theme of Eternatus with the "Eternal" in it's name and the lore stating it produces a limitless amount of Dynamax Energy (which I believe is another term for "Infinity Energy"). Actually one of the themes of Sword and Shield is about "Infinity". Sword and Shield is the "8th" Gen, and if you flip the 8 on it's side it makes an infinity symbol. Zacian and Zamazenta represent an "Irresistible Force" and an "Immovable Object", locked in a infinite clash. There's probably more symbolism of infinity in this game.
@@holynovaentertainment5007 well yeah be i mean everyone and everything was and is alive at some point so obviously has a form that looks like it's alive, and supposedly yes, that doesn't mean it actually is, it could even be based on something else entirely , however since gen 8 is only new none of the mysteries have really been solved yet, so right now there is no proof to say Eternatus is based on anything in particular, all we can say is Eternatus is a dragon and is based on some kind of dragon, but it is very more likely to be based on a dragon from ancient UK times more commonly known as Medieval English dragon, the fact it's a dragon and lives in a region that is based on the UK and looks more Medieval, which may also explain the Skeleton form, as it is an ancient deceased dragon
@@holynovaentertainment5007 Actually there's a very very good youtuber that explain everything of the lore, from the 1st generation. The problem is that he is italian, he is "Pokemon Millenium". Check is channel if you speak a little
This is the second PokéTuber I’ve seen to make this mistake. Hoops and Hiphop said the names were wrong too. Do none of them pay proper attention before committing a statement to video?
3rd person I hear say this being an error. I almost said the same the first time i saw the shirt but after doing the 360 viewing i saw what exactly was going on. Glad you pointed this out to him.
Gladion: OK I'm running away. Just gotta grab this Pokemon to save it from mother and... Gladion:.... Gladion: *maybe steal these papers and sell them on Craigslist*
Sunny - The FATMAN How Do You Know He Lives In Britan? Do You Think Everyone Who Makes Videos Only Are Able To Have Their (Might Not Be The Right They’re) Country Watch Their Videos, I’m From The Usa And Look, I’m Watching This Video
@@JacobSiegalKingOfSeagaliaBlack How do _you_ know he _isn't_ from Britain? He could be from anywhere, honestly. And no one was implying that people from Britain are the only ones who can watch British RU-vidrs, are you dense? Literally more consumers from the USA watch British RU-vidrs than from any other country.
Just FYI: There is a swimmer in Kalos, which is set ten years AFTER ORAS, who says they are going to swim to Hoenn: It is the same person. It took him TEN YEARS to make that difficult swim. It's an easter egg so many people miss, it makes my head spin....
If it’s true what ylu are saying, He didnt swim TO Kalos from Hoenn, he prepared to swim FROM Kalos to Hoenn, which means you easter egg idea doesn’t make sense.
I found it sad honestly.... She and him never got to say goodbye... And she was waiting no doubt for someone to see her and deliver the letter As her final wish... And the boy she liked was an elder man meaning she’s been dead and waiting for someone a long time... And now thanks to player She can finally rest...in peace...
Until you realize that the girl was actually possessing the letter all along and she duped you into taking her to her "old friend's" house and is now haunting them.
When I got my type null the Pokedex entry said “rumor has it that the theft of top secret research notes led to a new instance of this Pokémon being created in the Galar region” so most likely Oleanna stole the plans and wanted to get the steel memory silvally for rose so she would get praised for bringing him a strong pokemon
4:28 I found that before! I was very confused at first, why would a little girl send a love letter to an old man? Then I heard the story from the man and realized that she was a ghost. I was pretty impressed, because Game Freak did that well
I was coming to make this exact comment, they're not named wrong, it's that the one on the front is attacking the one on the back, which is the "Astonished" one that it's named for
There is actually a character in one of the hotels ( It might have been Circhester) who plays the role of a detective, and you realize his name is Houses ( or something like that ) obviously being a reference to Sherlock Holmes.
If you turn the camera around when you look at those shirts there is the opposite pokemon on the back of tge shirt. Like if its a pikachu shirt eevee is on the back and vice versa
I actually saw that when I received allisters league card, I looked at it and it showed allisters real face without the mask go look at his league cards it’s true!
Actually, the Eevee and Pikachu shirts have eevees and Pikachu's on the back. It's named by the pokemon on the back, where the pokemon is being defeated. . . :P Also may I add I never really considered Type-null and it's evolution to be legendary pokemon? I put them closer to pseudo-legendaries since they were made. Now, I know there's the argument that mewtwo is a legendary pokemon and he's man-made, but that's different since he's made FROM a legendary... and sure it's possible Type-Null was made from like... Arceus? I just would never put him in that category. (Same thing with Gensecet BTW. They're legendary cause they've revived fossils of legendary pokemon).
@No Chance Without Pasta I would argue that the distinction of being completely unable to bread and produce it's own offspring is an indicator it's considered legendary. When a game limits the number of a specific Pokemon you are able to capture, it's a legendary. I also apply this to Ultra Beasts, though there is a decent argument against them specifically being legendary.
When I delivered the letter from the girl I was so confused, I though I miss read something and just went on with the game but now I get what that weard interaction was surpose to be.
@@nuchetla2767 Typically it is vengeful females that end up as ghosts or children who died horrible and unfortunate deaths, both having some unfinished business left in the world of the living. I think it may have something to do with taoism and the yin sign... something cultural/spiritual that is common in eastern countries. Even in the west there are a ton of ghost stories depicting vengeful women, the lady in white for instance is a commonly reoccurring theme, and the reasoning can vary though most often the case is jealousy or envy which more or less has connections to the portrayal of women of old, especially from a religious standpoint. At this point in the franchise, however, the inclusion of ghost girls has become a tradition in the games. You can't have a Pokemon game without it's ghost girls to haunt it.
The likwik ghost girl can be a reference to the Ruby and Sapphire pokemon adventures manga There is a magna adem (I forget the name but battles ruby in the sub) be has a slugma that uses its flames to make illusions. The process makes ruby dizzy and pulls him into a memory with makes him angry and he enters a trans where uses his father's advice before there agreement (until then he isn't that found of battling)
@@DipshitKyle I think uncle might be a more likely possibility given that he seems to have stayed in Galar for quite some time given his much younger look in his second league card.
7:07 I just found this out by looking at the tee on my own game and if you turn it around you’ll see a Eevee on the back of the Astonished Eevee shirt and a Pikachu on the back of the Pikachu Payback tee!
PSTCM76 I didn’t make an assumption. That’s what they’re both talking about. One in a joke way and one in a philosophical way. It’s like they put jokes in the game. Also you’re assuming he’s talking about the artist but you don’t that he is.
@@prithvidsheela6095 I was reading the comments section during the intro, and this video was one of those randomly recommended videos. I basically just saw this channel, and had no idea who this dude was till after the video finished.
Type Null: actually it wasn't stolen or move to galar, it states in the dex that the notes were stolen from alola and then supposedly made in galar, small thing I also got curious about.
Gary Dezern also it's not a random trainer that gives it to you; they're specifically an MC employee and iirc they even say they were given instructions to give it to you.
@@lordofuzkulak8308 besides, type null was never a legendary pokemon to begin with. he is more akin to Pseudo Legendary mons than normal legendary mons.
Type: Null and the Beast ball being in gen 8 is very clear evidence we are someday going to get Ultra Beasts in gen 8 because the Beast Ball was created specifically to only catch Ultra Beasts and Type: Null was created Specifically to defeat Ultra Beasts, it is very clear we may sometime be getting Ultra Beasts in Pokemon Sword and Shield
Number39Utopia Minecrafter Additionally there are musical parallels between Oleana and Rose’s battle themes with Lusamine’s and the foundation as a whole. They have a very short leitmotif shares between them
The game indirectly stated that the beast ball had no use whatsoever in the Galar region. It was just there as a souvenir. Also, those themes were just a nod to Pokémon Sun & Moon. But hey, we've all been there at least once in our lifetimes!
I had no idea about the Sinistea forms so when I caught one, I tried the Cracked Pot I picked up but was surprised it wouldn't work. I thought maybe it was supposed to be held and traded but it didn't work either. When I gave up and checked, surprised to find it was authentic and needed a Chipped Pot instead.
Kabu's rare card is him in his way younger days already being part of the galar gym challenge tho so it seems doubtfull to me that he had a big career as a gym leader in Hoenn and then left for Galar so early on in his life.
no, they haven't, because that isn't giovanni. you're making a very weird assumption SOLELY based on persian being the pokemon he mentioned. it doesn't even look like him.
@@mailliw94 One, it very much does look like him. Hair, stance, black shirt. And the fact that he's turned towards a wall and won't face the player no matter how you interact with him, preventing you from seeing his face and leaving it a mystery.
no the marine cutscene is part of the postgame. you can only unlock it after you beat the game, and marnie mentions all the people cheering for her in the semi-finals. however it is supposed to take place before you battle her in spikemunth.
The pikachu and eevee shirts in circhester are named that way because the other Pokémon is on back in a pose like it was just attacked. The shirts depict pikachu and eevee getting back at each other. You have to have the right bag on the back to really see it.
Everyone: already knows about the two 'incorrect' shirts Me, who was also just as confused until comments were read and I went in the game to check: *Wait wh-*
Where the water Gym is go to the light house once you beat the game (Idk if you have to complete the post-game tho) and there is a Rillaboom, Both forms of Toxtricity and an Obstagoon playing in a band which is a reference to the credits you can see them performing in the Wyndon Stadium
I watched your let’s play while doing my play through and had to stop every now and then because you kept nearly over taking me. Kabu could be Flannery’s uncle. She doesn’t look enough like him to be father but they have a similar enough story that them being related is fair enough to believe Please do make another let’s play. At least in 2020. Just release an episode a day or week if you are worried about spamming people
The Eevee and Pikachu t-shirts aren't actually named the wrong way round. They kind of represent a battle, I guess (since Astonish is a move? Idk what the other one was called, can't remember) so Astonished Eevee would be Pikachu using Astonish on Eevee, because if you turn the character around then you can see Eevee on the back of the t-shirt.
I think the whole Authentic and Forgery thing on Sinistea is a really cool idea and would make a shiny more valuable just like the whole Ultra Shiny thing. Don't own a Nintendo Switch but if I do win one I can't wait to spend hours on end on this game.
A good shield can actually disarm a sword wielder. Get the sword caught in the shield and with the right twist, the enemy’s sword is ripped from their grasp.
in his official art, hop has eyes reminiscent of the "fairy mutation" shown in fairy type trainers and gym leaders, (at least in my opinion it looks like that) but he doesn't use fairies or have any bizarre ghostly or magical origins, relations, etc. he isn't ever associated with anything supernatural in the game except for in the postgame when he addresses how you being drawn to the slumbering weald is "uncanny" and that he feels the same. this could be related to zacian and zamazenta, as they are fairies, but in this case, why does your character not also have the fairy mutation? they also arrived at the slumbering weald. anyway, i find this very interesting.
I think it’s more plausable that Kabu is Flannary’s dad than grandad. He seems to be about middle age, somewhere around 50-60 years old, and Flannary is about 20 years old. Though we of course have no idea what the time gap is between the two generations of games or whether they even follow the same timeline (since Game Freak completely erased the idea that the games follow a linear timeline).
Yeah, though its dex entry mentions it coming from a meteor 20,000 years ago. Though, it could be that it was a misinterpretation by the ancient people.
@@LadyLeviathan That or it looked like one when it was emerging from one. Plus, it wouldn't be the first pokemon whose origins were confused with a meteor. Kyurem was said to have come from one in BW but that was revealed to not be the case in B2W2.
The Eevee and Pikachu shirts actually make sense when you see them from the back. The Pikachu shirt has a fainted Eevee on the back, and the Eevee shirt has a fainted Pikachu on the back. Took me ages to notice that.
