Great tips! Here is another: the fastest and Easiest way to remove a label is to heat it up with a hairdryer. After a minute, one can usually peel the label off very easily with little to no residue left behind.
If you don't have a dishwasher (like me) and don't want to buy the washing tablets, try putting 1tbsp baking soda, 1tbsp borax, 1/2 tbsp of salt, 1 tbsp of vinegar, and squeeze 1/2 a lemon into 2 cups water.. mix it up real good... then pour that into the pan and bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Let cool. Then scrub as usual. 🥰👍
Great ideas! I'll be trying most of them for sure! I have a picture frame hack that has worked for me for years too. I use a bead size ball of blue tack on the back bottom corners of all my frames, for mirrors as well as art and photos, and they stay put. I put a teeny bit on the bottom of certain candles that tend not to stay straight as well. Blue tack is very helpful and lasts forever, even when it gets hard you can work it to make it soft again.. 😊
I have two identical keys to the front and back doors to my apartment. The front door is painted RED for fRont, while the back door key is BLUE for Back. I’ve been doing this trick for about ten years. It’s much easier now because of the vast array of nail polish colors.
when all else fails read the instructions; I bought a new ink cartridge to replace the old one on my HP printer put it in correctly but after about 5 pages it 'ran out of ink' couldn't believe it as it cost $25. My friend suggested a few drops of rubbing alcohol in a ziplock bag for a few hours to absorb the moisture. what it did was loosen the tape which I hadn't seen to protect the ink section, I would have never realized it was there and not only got rid of the cartridge but the printer itself, saved by the bell
I love the idea with the matches and putting the strike plate on the bottom. One of the biggest problems ( other than the looks) I've had is that the box often gets crushed over time. Also, the dishwasher pod in the pan! Thank you, I have ceramic coated pans I want to try this on! =D
Love your Dollarama videos! I actually have a pan sitting on the counter that I was going to throw in the garbage b/c we couldn't get it clean. I'm off to try your hack!
Hi Christina 😊 Great hacks, thanks! Coconut oil is good for taking stubborn stickers off, as well as "The Pink Stuff" < this also works great on grout and tile, stove tops, inside oven. Perfect on match container. Sure beats the high price of others, selling. Your beaker containers for your makeup brushes, I'd place a single stem flower in each. Proportional to size 🌸 Enjoy your weekend! ❤
Very good tips. However… just a nice suggestion… no harm meant. Your kitchen looks great, marble backsplash, ceramic sink etc. Yet scrubber 🧽 mounted inside the sink… yuk spoils all that beauty… who wants to look at someone’s scrubber? My wife has it mounted inside the door underneath the sink. On a dollar store command hook holding a 3.99 TJ Maxx kitchen scrubber holder… 👍🏻
Hi from 🇨🇦 I like the dish tab in the non stick pan as I recently had stuck on food and I scraped it with a green scraper and now it doesn’t seem to allow foods to non stick so this would have been a great tip to know! Also I liked the room spray, the picture frame hack and the match jar idea
🫧🍳 For the pan cleaning tip....
Thanks for the sink cleaning tip. I've been struggling with the grey streaks in my rental bathtub. One trip to Dollarama, got my barkeepers friend and my tub is ALL white and pristine now❤
LOVE the pipecleaner hack! A much better idea than creating so much waste by throwing away existing hangers to replace them with the non-slip ones. Plus, extra materials for crafts :D
Oh my goodness... I just watched a RU-vid channel called "HomeCulture" the host, Ana, looks like she could be your sister. She's also in Canada! Thanks for making videos!
Great hacks! I really like the dab of hot glue on the back of art work, genius. Colored keys, good one. I don't cook but the pan cleaning is pretty darn good. Clothes hanger one - our Dollar Tree sells the velour flat hangers, they keep clothes from slipping off; packs of 5 in 3 color choices
TFS Christina these ideas are so good! I have a pet peeve to remove labels. At first I used goo gone but now all time baby oil especially if it’s glass! I am definitely going to try the dishwasher tablet for my pan. The tubes would look cute with single small buds TFS ❤😊
The pan result is amazing but as a pan should not be put in the dishwasher because of the aggressive cleansers that can destroy the pan coating I think this may be not so good?
Thanks, Christina! My problem is the baked on grease on my glass casserole dishes. It’s almost embarrassing to take something to a carry-in with the spots.
