I think they have such fun personalities. My black cat is the most interesting pet I've ever had. My tabby is pretty but he is more stand off-ish and reserved. The black one would snuggle all day if he could, would play fetch, jump on your lap and stand on your shoulders, and as I type this he is hugging my arm.... True entertainer.

I had a black cat that I adopted because she was the runt of the litter & got very little nursing time with her mother. She imprinted human rather than cat & had very few typical cat behaviors. She was definitely a black cat, but one day very bright sunlight filled the living room & we discovered that the black was made up of very dark brown fur & even darker brown stripes. Once out of that very brightest light, she once again was black.

My first cat Sable was the same way. He'd stretch out in the sunlight and have these dark tiger stripes but when he wasn't in the sunlight, he had soft, sleek, black fur.

Black cats are the best l used to feed a black female cat she used to stay in my bedroom all the time. Sadly Natterly has passed away she was very old l really miss Her. RIP Natterly.

We have 6 black cats and all are rescues. We love them all and they are great pets. No bad luck here. About 5 months ago, we got a call from a relative who almost ran over a kitten in the middle of the road. It was a small, black kitten, with their eyes not even open yet. We drove 3 hours to pick her up and my wife nursed her to health and now she is almost 9 pounds of love and affection. She is now living with us and her name is Mischief because she is always getting into trouble.

There's a possible stray black cat at the minute in our garden but it's difficult to know if he does belong to somebody. He's certainly trying to get his paws in the door and is pretty adamant that he should come in!. He's lovely but very demanding and trying to keep him at bay is quite a job!. The other neighbourhood cat, Oscar and this cat are at odds with who runs the garden. Both of them are doing their best to be top cat at the minute...muggins gets stuck in the middle!. Cats!.

4yrs ago a black male kitten was on my back porch in winter, cold and soaking wet. He was terrified and tried to run away. I caught him and held him wrapped up in warm blanket. I took a nap with pepper in my arms while I slept. He purred and needed on the blanket like he was nursing his mom. He is absolutely the most loveable cat in the world. As if we're his mom.

I had a black cat: Bubbles. I bought her on 24 Dec 1997. She was b. Aug 1996 I believe. She died 24 Oct 2016 aged over 20, so she was very lucky! Black cats are so attractive!

I have 2 black cats they are sisters I rescued at 2 weeks old the shelters wanted to put the down so I kept them along with their brother who is black and white I've had them for a year now the only bad luck they bring is kitty scratches because the love to play

We have a lovely🐈‍⬛ and everyone we've known have been sweet babies. Superstitions about black cats are held by silly people who they themselves are in fact bad luck for Black Cats.

Always and forever, we adopt the black cats, and a few years old is prefered over kittens, because many people don't like older cats. If you can get a black cat, a few years old, with a disability, then you have the tri-fecta. And they are the best-if you have the ability to take care of them.

My cat that passed away 5 years ago hated the outside. My current black cat and tabby want to escape and go out all the time.... tabby wants to be petted exactly 3.45 times a day, while the black one would sit on your lap any chance he gets...their personalities amaze me every day

We ( I and my husband) made a decision to adopt a black cat. I went on McLean County Humane Society Website. My mom took me to McLean County Humane yo meet and bring home a sweet 3yr black male cat. He was a transfer from another shelter. His name was Raymond, with agreement with my husband. I changed his name to Billy Jack. The reason for name change besides we weren't fond of the name Raymond. The reason is to long to explain..

Where are you located? Humane Society can normally assist with adoption. Also local Facebook groups are great for that.

@@petshomegarden i am from andhra pradesh, in southern india. I tried but no use for far. These kittens are a litter of 5, all colourful 1 ginger, 2 calicos, 1 black, 1 grey. Everyone wants somekind of breed so chances of adoption are quite low.
