Grievous, Durge, Boba fett, Darth Maul. why does the clone wars era have the coolest characters? also, Grievous is the easiest way to prove that lightsabers can be used by non force users. and also proof that force users are NOT the strongest things in the galaxy.

clone wars biggest failure was that they didn't flesh out Grievous in a arc. maybe have Ashoka meet some Kaleesh, who tell her about their history and their greatest hero. I liked Grievous EU story in that it showed that the republic was not the good guys or that the jedi where just and good all the time

Man, Grievous was disapointing in episode 3. I remember him as a nearly invincible beast in the clone wars cartoon. Even full fledged Jedi masters could not, or barely handle him. He was a real threat, capable of using ''non conventional'' fighting techniques that made lightsaber fights even more intense than usual. And then came episode 3 where Grievous can barely fight, runs away from everything like a coward and is defeated in nanoseconds by Obi-Wan alone... I was so pissed after that.

That fun fact makes me want to see that in Star Wars Rebels. In some scene, Thrawn enters his office/quarters and on the wall is Grievous' mask

man I wish most of these were still canon, I don't like the fact that Grievous chose to be a cyborg now, all because he got rejected by jedi, that's so lame and makes no sense. The only mistake Dave Filoni has ever made for starwars, everything else he did for clone wars was awesome, and rebels so far.

The movies and show completely wasted the concept of Grievous. He was such a badass before the movies and Clone Wars (Not 2003) show.

General Grevious was a missed opportunity in the prequels. He should've been introduced to us in episode 2 and should've had a much bigger role in episode 3. Grevious should've been a fallen hero character. In episode 2 Grevious is introduced to us as a villain similar to Darth Vader in episode 4- a mysterious person in a roboitc suit. He is under command of Count Dooku and leads the Separatist droid armies into battle with the clones. In episode 3, Obi wan discovers that Grevious was secretly disfigured by Count dooku, ordered by the emperor and realizes grevious is just a pawn in the sith's plan. When Grevious learns this he goes through a change and redeems himself, saving Obi wan's life and helping him defeat the droid army. Grevious goes back to Coruscant with Obi Wan, tells him and Yoda where the separatists are hiding. Obi wan goes to confront Anakin on Mustafar whilst Grevious decides to help Yoda take down the emperor, wanting personal revenge. Yoda and Grevious divise a plan together to lead the emperor into a trap. Whilst Yoda battles the emperor, Grevious tries to lead the emperor into a trap but Grevious figures out the emperor is trying to lead Yoda into a trap and Grevious sacrifices himself to save Yoda's life.

General Grievous was huge let down for me in the movie..he was a real badass in the animated segments..handing Jedi ass to them left right and center..then in the movie, Kenobi's all like NOPE!, ZOOM ZOOM!, aaaaand he's dead

Loved the video and I actually learned stuff that is really interesting. However I saw that you left out the reason why he was recluted by CIS. It was because he was a brutal General that had earn enormous victories to his people when they fought the treacherous bug like alien specie known as Tuk. The Grievous won so many victories that his people proclaim him a demi-god, he even manage to force the Tuk forces back to their home world were Grievous lay a cruel vengeance upon the Aliens (because Grievous mate was killed by a Tuk, and even thought Grievous was given many riches and women because of his new title as the Demi-God General, but nothing could replaced his lost mate) and as the cowards they were the Tuk contact the republic and invited the story that the Kaleesh started the war, and thus with the help of both the Republic and Jedi forces the Kaleesh were forced back to their home world dishonoured. On that day Grievous bow that he will kill all Jedi. The Tuk now aided by the Republic forced the Kalessh to come into contact with Dooku and join the CIS, that is why Dooku learned of Grievous and seeing that under his command the droid army was crushing the republic he decided to make Grievous the feared General and Cyborg he was until his death. However I greatly despise that in the many representations he had in both cartoon and movies, he is shown to be a weak coward and a complete moron as well as a complete loser, compare to vicious monster that many clones and Jedi grew to fear. The only cartoon in which he is done justice is in the 2002 Clone Wars cartoon.

just gotta say even though the movies called him a coward in legends his was not like a child playing with a sword he was able to take on 5 jedi masters and 2 knights at the same time single handedly and was also a master of all seven forms of lightsaber combat. he was way more powerful than he is given credit for... the only problem is so was obi wan
