The 7 day diet, love it or hate it? Cabbage soup is a part of many different diet plans and has a zillion different names. I use it with the 7 day diet. I've been loving it so far and this diet never fails to give me my 10 pound weight loss in 7 days. One thing I love about this Wonder Soup is that you can eat as much of it as you like. I'm all for a diet that lets me eat like a field beast whenever I want to.

Lose 10lbs in a week is an understatement I have congestive heart failure and I ate this soup no lie five days and lost 14lbs Everytime I go to sit and watch TV I was running back to the bathroom my insides was so clean Mr. Clean would be surprised

Let me tell you, My weight was SHREDDING while I was on intermittent fasting (not on purpose, I had 4am-1:30pm shifts, and didn’t eat until I got home around 2:30) And I ate this about twice a day AND by drinking the detox type of juice(pineapple, cucumber, lemon, ginger) I work as a pastry cook so work is my exercise, I power walk for 8 hours which I think was a beneficial factor too why I was losing weight so dang fast. Everything contributed for a quicker result :)

I see it like this a lot of people say this is a crash diet but that is becUase you are doing it wrong if you do this "diet" as you guys call it and lose 10 pounds but then after the diet change how you eat meaning healthy eating your not going to gain the weight back it's like starting fresh but if you do this diet for a week lose the 10 pounds and go back to your unhealthy eating of course your gonna gain all the weight back

makeupdayandnight True. Plus eating a lot of veggies in general make you feel full and clean out your system. Your skin will glow,hair will be healthier. I also love to make healthy veggie soups (I’ll add chicken too) in the winter and I swear I never get sick if I eat my healthy soup in winter: I make one with kale,spinach,chicken,garlic,radishes (radishes cooked in soup taste like potato)! ,,bok choy,carrot,celery. My sister and I nicknamed it rock soup lol but it tastes good and I haven’t been sick in the winter going on 5 years...no colds or flu for me.

I just purchased all the ingredients in this woman use and it came out to be just under $20. This recipe is in very cost efficient for those who are on a budget. I'm a 16 year old female, who works at McDonalds making minimum wages. If this recipe is affordable enough for a minimum wage worker then you bet it is a fantastic recipe!

I made this for the first time last night. I used fire roasted canned tomatoes and added cilantro. It was surprisingly delicious. Given it's a detox soup, I was expecting a very bland soup, but it turned out to be amazing. Not on that, but I definitely felt it working less than 8 hrs later....TMI I know, sorry. But seriously, for someone that has digestive issues as myself, this is exceptionally better than any laxative you could find.... trust me.....

My grandmother used to make this. The only difference was she put in a can of bean sprouts. She called it free soup because you could have it any time you felt hungry on a diet. It works. Sometimes I use chicken bouillon instead of broth. Tastes great. Thanks for uploading, I had forgotten most of the recipe.

@@chrisgaines8722 that's a stupid thing to say. A pot of soup doesn't cure heart disease. I have 6 heart conditions and I've had 4 heart procedures. Soup didn't stop any of it.

Day 1- Eat nothing but fruit today (except for bananas) and as much of the diet cabbage soup as you’d like. I like to eat baked cinnamon apples in the morning, a large fruit salad and cabbage soup for lunch, and cabbage soup and a melon salad for dinner. I snack on fruit throughout the day, usually frozen berries, grapes and watermelon. Day 2- Eat nothing but vegetables (except corn or other starchy veggies). However, you do get to start the day with a baked potato. You will LOVE having this baked potato trust me! I never thought I’d be so happy to eat a baked potato in the morning! I put a tad bit of salt and butter (I cheat) on the potato along with some broccoli and tomatoes. For lunch I do the cabbage soup and salad sprinkle with salt, pepper and olive oil. This is actually pretty good. For dinner I do mashed cauliflower topped with a stir fry. Day 3- Today you eat fruits AND veggies (except bananas, corn and other starchy veggies) You also don’t get a potato today, sucks! I just do a repeat of day one and two for my foods. Day 4- Today you eat only bananas and milk/yogurt. This is the DUMBEST day by far. I hate it. You can only have bananas and milk. I eat bananas, rice milk, almond milk and yogurts and of course the miracle soup. It’s not that difficult, but if you hate bananas I feel sorry for you boo. Day 5- Today eat only tomatoes (6-8) and protein like fish, turkey and chicken. I had no problems with this day since I love meat and was happy to get it! I had wonder soup for breakfast and added extra tomatoes since I don’t like tomatoes plain that much. For lunch I had grilled chicken topped with tomatoes seasoned with salt, basil, pepper. For dinner I had more wonder soup, but I add ground seasoned turkey to it. Very filling. I got tired of the soup on this day. Day 6- Today it’s protein and veggies- Unlike yesterday you can have other veggies besides tomatoes. I had a salad for breakfast seasoned with olive oil, spices, salt and pepper. For lunch I had a stir-fry with chicken, spices and veggies (so good) for lunch I had a spaghetti squash with pasta sauce and ground turkey. I think spaghetti squash is off limits but I had to have it! (it didn’t effect my weight loss) Today was so yummy! lol Day 7- Today it’s just fruits, vegetables, and juices. Booo!!! I hated this day because I wanted more meat, but I was glad it was the last day. The scale says I’m 7 pounds lighter this morning so that was great to see. I feel clean inside. I’m hungry today Day 8- 10 lbs down

Misteryowl interesting stuff in this vid. For fast weight loss - something I have heard about - Vasario 21 Day Diet (search on google)? I have heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got excellent outcome with it.

You know what else works? Eating broth based soup. It doesn't have to be cabbage. I lost 40 pounds to get to 9% body fat on soups (plus a protein shake after working out). But seriously, I'd just start off with water + salt + pepper + onion+ garlic + meat (chick, beef, or pork). I'd slow cook that meat in the water until it was falling apart. About 2-3 hours before it was done, I would drop in a bunch of mixed veggies and a cut up potato. Easy to make and would last me about 2 days. Weight dropped fast, and I was making sure it was a balanced broth soup. Slow cooking that meat in the water gives you a broth. I know it's not the conventional bone broth, but it's pretty damn good still. I would eat a big bowl, wait 15 minutes, and if I was still hungry I'd eat half a bowl. It took me about 2 months to drop those 40 pounds, which isn't bad considering I didn't have a TON of weight to lose (since it got me to single digit bodyfat, and I'm already 6'5 to begin with.) Also, you can pretty much eat when you're hungry because a big bowl is maybe 300 calories. So....like it is easy to combat hunger. Also the variety helps so much, I literally could make so many combinations of fruit (different mixed veggies, different meats, etc).

Martha Lugo This generally depended on what I could buy. Generally I'd put in a few chicken breasts. Once I used two chicken quarters, and then the bones came right out at the end (without skin). I've also thrown in 4 boneless chicken thighs that came out better than the breasts. But breasts were the go to. I'd put in 2-4 depending if they were huge or really small.

I always use this soup to kickstart my diet because starting diet (which is a lifestyle change) is easier mentally when you see you’re losing some weight already. My tips as a former chef and nutritionist is you can do twist for flavors with the same concept for example: - Add some shrimp/white fish/tofu/chicken breast as protein to balanceout your daily requirement of macro and micro nutrient. Make sure you don’t lose concentration / pass out at work 😅 Flavor variation through the soup base without changing the cabbage soup concept: goulash base, tom yum soup base, or japanese curry (onion, apple, curry powder), miso soup base -Change one or two type of veggies except the cabbage such as mushrooms/zucchini/eggplant/greenbeans You can really play around with the recipe. This helps to not get bored and quit 😊 for the whole week eating the same flavor is just not easy for some people.

I do hope she means from time to time over the past two years. I do it periodically to help maintain my weight loss and it works. I eat sensibly most of the time and I utilize this diet when I gain more than 10-15 lbs. it works. I also exercise to get that heart rate up and maintains my blood pressure and helped me to reverse onset of diabetes with no medication.

I'm so glad I found this recipe last Saturday. I'd already decided to do the Cabbage Soup diet but I was also doing research to get all the information I needed prior to starting the diet this past Sunday, August 1, 2021. I went to your website and read your journey while doing this diet. It was hilarious and all true. I'm on my 4th day of the diet and ready for day 8 to arrive. The soup has been good but I'm glad there's more we're able to eat on the diet than just Cabbage Soup. Thank you for sharing this recipe. It's delicious and a life saver during my journey while on this diet 😊

I tried this last April and I lost so much weight from 110 to 97 lbs but I always felt tired n hungry so when I stopped the diet, it rlly backfired on me because I want to eat all the things I couldn't eat n so I gained the weight back. So self control is what will keep ur results clear

I think you overdid it with the diet for you to be feeling tired and hungry. Make sure you get enough calories in based on height and age. Add some more protein so you can feel full longer. Remember you can have what you like, just in moderation. Good luck!

Just made this like an hour ago it was amazing and on top of me being sick it was much needed!!!! But the reason I'm doing this is for weight loss I just need to lose like a good 20 pounds and I'll be set!! Try using bone broth instead of regular broth. Instead of adding extra seasoning I started heating up my daily soup and then mixing in a serving of kimchi. The flavor and nutritional benefits rise to a whole new level. Also, tomatoes can be inflammatory for more people than realize it. Use caution.

I make this every week. I use vegan protein broth along with bone broth. I put new baby golden potaoes instead of tomatoes. Add kale as well. I use a whole head of cabbage and I pressure cook it all for 30 min. I freeze some and it works great.

I just use this diet for quick weight loss when I need to fit into something lol. The weight comes back within 2 weeks for me when I stop, but then again I do eat every 5 minutes lol.

Made this except that I omitted the canned tomatos. It's rather bland so I added some extra flavor with some white meat chicken and another time I added some beef meat balls with very lean beef. Not a thing wrong with that. But because of your irrational food fetish over meat you couldn't do this.

Umm the user Mccxcccx7793 needs to realise that not everyone consumes the same meals and cannot be mocked for not liking a food that you may like. I’m going to assume you’re young and immature so that may be what is causing your outlook on people who don’t eat the same way you do. It could also be a cultural or intolerance/ allergy/anaphylaxis related reason - you don’t know, so maybe keep your opinions to yourself?

This recipe is delicious. I'm currently losing weight and I make this tea weekly to eat when I'm hungry. It's helping with my weight loss. I add a pack of onion soup mix and it makes this recipe pot. I also did her collard greens recipe. I seasoned them with the turkey and when done threw the turkey out. This young lady knows her stuff. Good luck guys.

The Cabbage Soup diet really works. Old skool diet from the 80's have used it since I was a teenager. You really can lose 10-25 pounds but it gets hard mid way. Choose water fruits (melons) on fruit days for maximum results. Water, coffee, or tea black no sugar (can use splenda/equal). The first time I lost 25lbs on the diet in a week but it comes right back if you don't make the soup/plan a reg part of your maintenance. I mean really the first three days of the plan you are only taking in maybe 200-300 cals the next, maybe up to 500-900 a day. Don't get anorexic on this - I did as a teen.

LOLLLLL!!! I didn't noticed any unsual poopage. Cabbage does screw with some folks stomachs though. I did however pee like CRAZY . I mean I'm use to peeing a lot when I start drinking 64 oz of water but this was on a whole new level. It was annoying.

really good, just made it. used vegetable broth and other favorite seasonings. had the head of cabbage in the 'fridge for about a week so happy to make good use of it.

I just made this and diva I found a winner. The chicken broth and tomatoes are vital for flavor. This is filling and delicious. I love the broth. honey I'll be 2 piece ready in now time. I just need to lose about 20 pounds

I made this soup the other day and it is a rich and flavorful soup!! My head of cabbage was small so I used the whole head. I also added a 14oz can of chicken broth, 1/2 tsp fennel seed, and 1/4 cup of white rice. I guess the soup simmered for 30-45 minutes to let the rice cook. Great soup!! Thanks Diva!!

Six days already. Started at [day 1] 107.1 kg / [day 2] 106.1, [day 3] 103.2, [day 4] 105.3, [day 6] 103.6, [day 7] 101.8. Seven days six kgs so it can be done. I will stick with it. You see day 3 was a big drop, just did not eat but lapsed next day and rose. No serious cheating just a few extra bowls and a beer or two. Day 7 was hot and did some gardening otherwise no exercise in this period. I did add some bacon and occasionally cream cheese for protein and flavor. I am okay about that. It is the breads and pastas and spuds just cannot break the diet on. The tomatoes were key for me as it sweetened the soup immeasurably. I often just added one extra can of peeled toms and it freshen everything. Plenty of pepper too. Red cabbage works better for large batches as it does not stew down so much on re heating. You do get sick of it. Make sure you log weight and when you scale and what you eat. Just for your own sense of science. I really crave carbs but won't indulged. Good luck if you try.
