I would say, the main thing I (not necessarily learned) but have put to use with youtube, is linking like minded friends locally. I have met well over a thousand people in person, at camps, trails, clean ups and we all share something from this video stuff. It's amazing. A tool like no other. One day, possibly you and I will walk some trails and if not from your videos or mine, it would never happen. Thanks for all your work, all your reviews and videos. I wish you many years of grotwh and adventure through them. cheers
PHARRAOH That's something I never explored. Sometimes being in the mountains and on the trail alone can be very therapeutic. I always try and go alone, on a day where there is not many people out if possible. It is not the wisest way to live life though, gotta get out there and connect with people sometimes too. Maybe someday we can, I haven't explored much of the San gabriels and I'd like to start doing more hikes there at some point. Thanks for the kind words, take care

I agreed with every word in this video, and thank you for your complete honesty. I like the way you film your tabletop reviews and outdoor videos as well. This video and your recent EDC bag video have great content, but I feel the visual aspect to be very plain. I know not everyone has great filming equipment or editing software, but location, lighting and background and maybe a few different camera angles could make for some incredible videos. Some valid points for sure! I Think it depends a lot on what you got into youtube for. Some its money, some its just the movie making experience, and there are those that just want to share an adventure or tip. I have seen alot of channels grow purely on community by just re-uploading the same content as others with a little spin on it. In the end you will get out what you put into it. I'm still surprised that people take the time watch my vids and its why I try to comment back to everyone that takes the time to comment...trolls not included.. I dont bother with it.
