I just wanted to give a shout out and say thank you so much for the lessons and the giving of your time. It would have taken me years to learn everything you share in these lessons. You da man!
So glad the videos help :) Don't forget to checkout the free sound packs on our website as well, they all come with Cubasis templates and Cubasis presets as well as the MIDI and WAV files in case you don't want to use the sounds inside Cubasis.
@@UziBlancoOfficial I love it and find it really intuitive to use. It's my go to DAW. The only big feature it lacks is a tempo/time signature track but there are workarounds for it. Hope you like it and this channel is a great place for Cubasis info. 🙂
@@Elwaves2925 appreciate it fam, just in the 24hrs I've had it I agree, it's freaken awesome bro!! I'm waiting on my adapter to come in the mail now so I can hook up my actual mic ect.. super excited about layen down some 🔥 asap!! Hell, if your down let's collab on something.. eitherway appreciate the info bro!!
Hi, just thinking about this. Thankyou for putting up. Is there a midi out routing. Could you use it as a controller via an irig 2 to connect a midi to a hardware synth module?
@@MobileMusicPro The gap between Beatmaker 3 and Cubasis just keeps growing and growing. I love Beatmaker 3 but development stalled while Cubasis just keeps adding more and more convenience. 🤷🏾♂️
@@jjbing3 Yah Intua is basically a one man team, cubasis team is still small compared to cubase team but at least they have ability to have more than 1 person working on it consistently.
I use the midi stretch in lieu of the tempo track, which is sorely missing in Cubasis. You can stretch each succeeding measure's (or any fraction of it) tempo gradually or abruptly; ergo half-time, double-time, accelerando or ritardando! It's not as smooth as a tempo track, but a workable, albeit a clumsy substitute.
Hi, great video I' m using cubasis 3 on my android but the CC modulation or expression doesn't work, maybe I do something wrong I followed your example recording mod wheel in RealTime or draw it but...nothing.Thanks
Ok I have multiple drum regions cause I do the kick and snare in one take and the hihats in another and the regions are laying on top one another. Is there a way to join them so they’re all one region?
Glue tool isn't available for regions over lapping one another. In one take I'll do the kick and snare pattern then on top of that region is the hihat stuff. They're two separate regions occupying the exact same space. Is there a way to have them all in one region?
@@MobileMusicProFor audio You could also just use Freeze button and it gives you a joined audio clip. Can delete the original after that to free up CPU.
@@AFRoSHEENT3ARCMICHAEL69 If they're MIDI you can glue the clips, if they're audio you'll have to solo the track(s) and mixdown to audio, and then re-import that mixed down audio back onto the timeline.
today i tried write cutoff CC to my midi part, but I was dissaypotment. IT not be was writed. Just clean sound. Can you check this? Maybe I went some wrong? Also I want to know Cubasis CC numbers, for learn my midi controler knobs. But no any info aboit it
To learn knobs you can go setup in top right hand corner and then click on midi and then click on midi learn. For more info about the midi editor you can see the manual here: download.steinberg.net/downloads_software/Cubasis/Cubasis_3_Web_Help/IS_Automation.html
Please make a video on Scaler2. It can track an audio track on Cubasis using the Scaler2Audio effect plugin but somehow can not transfer the captured chords to another midi tack with the Scaler2Control plug in. The manual states these two apps should be able to connect. For generating the suggested chords progression from another midi track Scaler2 works great. But having this ability to extract within Cubasis the chord progressions/substitutions from pre recorded track would be really great function for me.
You have to use it as a MIDI fx plugin in order to capture the MIDI it creates (and also don't forget to toggle the record to track button in upper right hand corner of app). But there will for sure be scaler videos coming. I've been capturing MIDI all afternoon from melodies to chords :)
@@MobileMusicPro On my first time using the app, I set up the ScalerAudio 2 effect on an audio track to track an audio file and communicate the captured chords to a midi track with the ScalerControl 2 mfx on it. But now I can’t repeat this process. I tried the “sync” function from the ScalerAudio 2 since it is the one capturing the chords but seems not to sync or transfer the data to the ScalerControl 2 mfx. I must be missing a step.
@@itsaboutchina732 Make sure you go to settings in the scaler app and have "DAW Sync" enabled. You can also send midi from one track to another with the routing tab.
@@MobileMusicPro I know I did this the first time I used the app and it worked perfectly then it just stopped routing the midi. I reinstalled it and rebooted my iPad and it still doesn’t work. It could be Cubasis but I never reinstalled it before. Would I lose anything if I do this?
Why would I ever need to stretch midi? I thought it stretched it into multiple bars but kept it the same. I haven't learned everything yet I'm a logic pro guy.
Hello, a MIDI file is just a file like any other file so you can use the files app in your iphone or ipad to place it into Cubasis's MIDI directory which is in your [Your Device]/Cubasis 3/ directory.
Hah, is your last name iPad? And in this this PC reality we live in who's to say what a name should be? But yah Vortex is my gamertag and producertag :)
Is there a Cubasis 3 shortcut gesture to make the region markers select the whole track? Like double tap with the Select Tool active or something similar? You can select a region by long pressing a clip. How about going back to full track?
You can make a duplicate of the track, (in case you want to keep the separated measures as well)and then glue all the event in the desired regions together. You can then manipulate the track as a whole. (don't worry if you mess up! Long tap on "undo" and you'll get a drop down menu list of all your past activity which you can revert to that point in time)
