Hey guys, in today's video I wanted to show a few projects you can make that are quick and easy to sell. I am by far not the most experienced person when it comes to craft shows or selling products, but the craft shows I have been to pointed to these three items as the best sellers. Not only do people really seem to like these, but they are by far the quickest projects I've ever made. Let me know what projects you're working on and if you'll be making any of these in the future. If you enjoyed the video or it helped you out in anyway, hit that like and subscribe button! Thanks a lot and have a great day!

I like the cracks I think they give the vase so character.

11:12 I have found, old bench style, drill presses have decent Three Jaw Drill Chucks, some older ones even have Jacob's Original ones, AND the WHOLE drill press goes for less than a true Jacob's does alone. There are so many uses for the parts left over and they don't take up a lot of space!!

Out of curiousity, any reason why you chose to use your parting tool for the tee light rather than a Forstner bit as you had with the vase? I imagine you're trying to avoid the pointed indentation that the bit would leave?

Exactly. I don’t like the indentation it leaves

Last Summer the City had to clear trees under some power lines in the swamp ... Pretty much right IN town we have a giant wetland it's great for exploring, Some of the trees were birch like this, nobody would miss a few short pieces!! :) But, I was in the middle of moving as I sold my house .. all my tools are in storage.

I'm not a fan of the finish you used, seems to make the wood very yellow but I subscribed as love you no nonsense approach and the products all turned out to be great and are certainly food for thought. I especially love the tree. BTW my comments are to help you with the algorithm 😊

What type and length of screws did you use in the faceplate?
@Blackhillwoodwork
@Blackhillwoodwork Месяц назад
I think they are an inch. It all depends on your faceplate though. Just put some screws through the faceplate and make sure they hangout enough to really dig in the wood. Also don’t use drywall screws, they are very brittle.

Are these only great sellers at craft shows or have you had any success with online sales with them? I love the thought of just batching out some quick items, and looking at the grocery store for dried wood is a good idea. It is the only place i have also seen dried birch logs. Though my neighbor has a birch tree in her yard i keep my eye on just in case it ever falls down :)

Haha. I’m talking more about craft shows. I don’t have much luck with anything online😂. Thanks for the comment!

you made a small vase out of a good size log. could have had a much larger vase.
@Blackhillwoodwork

True but I like the smaller vases more. Bigger isn't always better.

Fascinating makes. I have however never understood why americans pronounce vase as if it were spelled 'vace'.
