Grievous called out Anakin because he expected someone with his reputation to be older. Anakin was the one who fired back with the "you're shorter than I expected" remark.
The theory on why is because when Ashoka first fought grievous she was shorter so to her she would have explained to anikan how tall he was to her lol so he literally thought he would be taller because he was told lol
Only thing I didn’t know was how the 501st came to be. I thought the cosplay group came after not as the creator! That was actually really cool! To be honored in the ultimate finale movie and then subsequently featured in arguably the best Star Wars game ever, is amazing!
The best Star Wars game ever? Don't get me wrong, I love the original Battlefront II, but Fallen Order definitely beats it, as well as arguably Republic Commando and the recent Lego Skywalker Saga
Disney+ Needs to make a Son of Dathomir and Dark Disciple animated movie or mini series. People would eat them up. I think they should do more Animated Star Wars.
Assuming they'd take 4 episodes like the video stated: They should just add them to season 6. Episodes 14, 15, 16 and 17. Some filler episodes: Episodes 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22. Asajj Ventress too. Episodes 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30. Boom, best season. Fives, Clovis, Jar Jar's girlfriend, Yoda, Bane, Qui-Gon, Maul, Sidious, Dooku, Talzin, Asajj and Quinlan. 30 episodes too.
This show made clones from one note characters in the films to some of the best characters in star wars media and the great talent of Bradley dee baker for making each clone sound unique but similar
I’m on my fourth time through the show. The first couple of seasons are a bit rocky (I really don’t like the episodes being out of chronological order, and the story is not super compelling) but as the story and the characters progress it becomes a really great show.
@@daledoback9566. Probably misspelled a word and noticed it just after posting it, but then never realised that the comment didn't make any sense and was like 5 different sentences merged into one. A list of the possible sentences going through their head: Star Wars: The Clone Wars was so freaking amazing. Star Wars: The Clone Wars was a freaking amazing show. Star Wars: The Clone Wars was well done, incredible and fantastic. Star Wars: The Clone Wars was well done and fantastic. I will never stop watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Merge them all together and you get: Star Wars: The Clone Wars was so freaking amazing show well done, in fantastic; I will never stop watching it. Remove your punctuation (apart from a capitalisation of the 's' in 'star'), and you get their exact comment: *Star wars the clone wars was so freaking amazing show well done in fantastic i will never stop watching it*
I can’t believe it’s already been 2 years since the incredible series finale aired. It was at the same time I graduated High School. Time really does fly.
The last scene with Darth Vader is just so sad. I wished everything was going to be okay even tho I knew what was going to happen and that’s amazing writing
1:23 I wish you’d note that Ahsoka gave Anakin the description of Grievous of his height and capacities explaining why Anakin said he was excepting Grievous to be shorter than he expected. It was because when Ahsoka met Grievous for the first time at the age of 14 he was huge to her and quite wide but Anakin assumed she was exaggerating due to the fact she was short and young as a Padawan
Hey, former animator here! I know it’s semantics, but while saying the lightsaber fights are animated is in the most general term since the whole show is animated, using it in juxtaposition to motion-capture (Mocap) is confusing as motion capture is a type of animation. The term you could use instead is “hand-keyed”. This term is what animators use to say the animation was done by hand; meaning that every keyframe is created by the animators, which is more akin to drawn animation where artists needed to draw every frame, rather than a motion capture actor providing those key frames. Because even with Mocap animators still have to correct and adjust the Mocap data to match the style and exaggerate the movements! Either way, the animators of this show, and Rebels did surprisingly well given the time constraints.
Because the Son of Dathomir comic and Dark Disciple novel were originally planned to be Clone Wars arcs, I always read them whenever I rewatch the show.
The carbonite freezing episode "Citadel" one my favorites. Fives says "You sure this thing is safe? I don't want to end up a wall decoration." For sure a nod to Han in Jabbas palace I think.
The Ashla has always been part of star wars legends. She is the sister of Mortis. Also she is that owl that always follows ahsoka around, because she sacrificed her life energy for ahsoka on Mortis. If you dont know, the Bogan is the dark side, and the Bendu is the middle. If I remember correctly, the Bendu was featured in Star Wars rebels, but he is also the Father in the Mortis episodes in TCW. Technically, the Ashla IS ahsoka, at least since what happened on Mortis. And was I the only one that knew all 10 of these? 😂😂
@@dekekun To be clear Ashla is just an 'ancient' name for the force wielders on Mortis. So The Ashla is just another name for the daughter or sister or whatever else you want to call her. The owl/convor named Morai is just a manifestation or maybe alternate form of the daughter/ashla from mortis. The convor which ahsoka calls Morai follows her around because the Daughter transferred her life energy to ahsoka on Mortis. First things first, there is clearly some connection between the convor, ahsoka and the daughter, and there is some interesting evidence for a few different claims about the connection between these 3, but I believe the daughter/ashla *IS* Morai, specifically because in rebels ahsoka said "I owe her my life," referring to the events that happened on Mortis and confirming that Morai *is* the daughter, and the ashla. Mortis isnt really accessible to the rest of the galaxy, I'm not even sure if it's a planet. The species Convor comes from Mortis. So if you dont believe the own and the daughter were not always the same, how do you propose the owl got off of Mortis? And how did she get to the "world between worlds" in rebels? It's pretty clear that this isnt some normal owl, she clearly has at least deep connection to the force and to the daughter, if she is not literally the daughter in a different form. The force wielders on mortis arent exactly biological beings, and have some sort of influence on the future, and the events that happen *after* their "deaths" on mortis so it's definitely possible that the daughter *is* the owl even after her other physicals form died. The last thing I want to say is that the daughter only transferred part of her life energy to ahsoka, and the force wielders were very very powerful beings, so it's also possible that the daughter can still live in the physical galaxy with whatever remaining energy she has left, she just isnt powerful enough to appear in her full form which we see on mortis. This argument isnt really well organized but i've gotten all my thoughts and evidence down and im not feeling like spending time to put this together nicely.
Just started watching it, does anyone know where I can find the clip where the producers say it was difficult doing episodes with anakin and grevious? I remember seeing A behind the scenes mini documentary as a kid and was so fascinated with that but can’t find the clip for the life of me I’ve been looking for it for 2 years now
Ahsoka was also created by Dave Filoni. That's his baby. He said he was just doodling and drew her messing around and still till this day he says it's his greatest creation so far🔥
I think Hamill's role as Darth Bane is equally as significant as Liam Neeson returning as Qui-Gon in his force ghost version. While Qui-Gon's return is significant as it explains how Obi-Wan came back to continue to train Luke, but Bane's appearance shows us how the Sith were able to hide from the Jedi fod so long and eventually control the entire galaxy and get their revenge.
The story called The Dark Desciple that feature Ventress and Quinlan Vos teaming up to kill Dooku should definitely become a movie or series. It's so good!!
I a finished the show recently, and I found it interesting (I had to convince myself to keep watching after season 1.) I thought it was a bit of an uneven series. You have these 2 to 4 episode arcs that allow you to learn about the origins of the force, the clone wars, or the relationships between key characters...and then you have 1 to 3 episodes about like Jar Jar Binks saving the day by falling everywhere, or C3PO helping Padmé organize a party...those aren't exactly as good lol.
Darth Vader didn’t know the Carbonite was going to work on han. He wanted to use it on Luke and tested it on han because he needed to make sure it wouldn’t damage Luke.
Filoni and Lucas worked on the Clone Wars together. Lucas had created the initial concept and characters. So yes, Ahsoka was created by Lucas. Dave Filoni was the one responsible for developing and fleshing out the character. It kinda makes the Ahsoka we know now Filoni's... but she was still Lucas' creation.
You forgot to mention for the Han Solo references that Fives says he doesn't want to end up a wall decoration in the same episode before he and the others gets frozen
Alot of facts to take-in - Ashla would've sounded very similar to her voice actress Ashley - Alpha has now been adapted to The Bad Batch with Boba Fett having the code name - I can't believe we missed on Ventresses full redemption arc & Son of Dathomir would've been awesome on screen - George Lucas said he didn't want to ruin the films but he still allowed that scene where Obi-wan finds out Dooku is Tyrannus who recruited Jango Fett to become the clones
U forgot to mention when talking about reprising roles that Christopher lee played count Dooku in the movie but was replaced in the series by Corey Burton
I've been rewatching clone wars and rebels and feel I never really gave either much credit when they were new but now realize that at times both shows are the best star wars ever made with the exception of maybe Mandalorian and now Obi-Wan (time will tell on this).
There was a canceled clone wars arc about the yuuzhan vong.According to pablo hidalgo the story would only have hinted at the origins of the vong and weren't immune to the force to better align george lucas's description of the force. It was canceled before a script could be written if i remember correctly. Dave feloni also drew sketches of a yuuzhan vong scout.
If you want what happened between II and III watch the Genndy version 😉 plus Grevious is TERRIFYING! But this has always been a great what If kind of show for me ♥️
Once again the lack of a 'probably' or similar is missing from the title, and this is possibly the worst example as most of these are common knowledge for Clone Wars fans. I'm willing to bet I wasn't the only one to have already known all ten of these. I don't mind the sharing of these facts for those that may not know some or any of them, just stop telling everybody that they don't!
Number one amazing thing for me was the Priestess on the force planet telling Yoda that there was another Skywalker. Complete mindblower that passed everyone by. Anakin has a sibling.
didn't vader NOT know freezing someone in carbonyte would work? thats why he did it on Han Solo first bc he actually wanted to do it on Luke but he didn't want to risk killing him, hence why Solo was done first.
That would be awesome. I always wondered what happened. It would also explain the start of padme and anikhans relationship. It just feels too weird going from a little boy straight to a late teenagers (or later) body.
It makes no sense to release part of canon for a series in a different media from the rest of the series since not everyone has access to all media and switching media for a part of canon not only limits the fan base, but also keeps them from knowing about the new parts of canon since books and comics never get trailers and are rarely announced to everybody
During the arc where Obi-Wan becomes Rako Hardeen to infiltrate and sabotage a plot to kidnap Palpatine, Cad Bane Can be seen looking at a Fedora thats identical to the one Indiana Jones wears
Using the season 5 finale when talking about cathartic conclusions should be a crime. I hope that was done deliberately, because if not, I dread to meet the fan who saw that as it aired , then had no follow up for quite a while and thought "Yeah, that's cathartic."
Let's see just how many of these "mind blowing facts" I didn't know about the Clone Wars, shall we? #1. Ahsoka being originally "Ashla"? knew it. #2. Filoni "backflips" to preserve Anakin never meeting Grievous knew it #3. Hamill voicing Darth Bane knew it #4. Animating duelling until season 7 mo cap knew it #5. the 501st. Legion inspiring Lucas to become Canonical knew it #6. "Humanizing the Clones" (the Filoni "Clone triangle") ummmm... does anybody _not_ know that?!? 😂 #7. Unaired episodes being released in other media (books, comics, etc.) knew it #8. Filoni's original vision for a smaller crew knew it #9. certain characters, (Han Solo, etc.) being specifically omitted by George Lucas knew it #10. John Williams motifs appearing periodically knew it (how fun!) 👍
This show proves that George Lucas and the Prequels did have a lot of merit to their storytelling and worldbuilding. It just ended up being better suited to the mediums of animation and television than live action movies.
Ok so the second time he said bane... It sounds like he said Dane... Which threw me off... I went to the clip several more time to relisten to how he said it... Maybe it's just me mind playing tricks on me... But it does sound like he said Dane in the second sentence.
