I have owned my 21' Roadtrek for 17 years and am still in love with it. Compact interior but every inch put to use! Easy to drive and can go most anywhere.
I really like the AZ-Max La.kunn looks like a good value, with everything you need for an RV that is self propelled. Size is great for storing away when not using it. It is an RV that most people could afford.
I love the little Mazda based camper. It's got everything you need and it's no bigger than it has to be. Interior was an example of good use of available space. I thought the price was pretty good too for what you get.
We recently purchased the A Liner Expedition and really like it so far. It fits in our garage and has all the necessities for the two of us and we can take it off grid and has hard side dormers to protect you from bear invasion out West.
Thank you. I have had two Eribas (they are more common in Europe). The original builders were aircraft constructors. This explains the aluminum frame and light weight/structural strength.
I like No. 9 Just a little bit bigger than a normal teardrop and if Cassy ever came to Australia it would have just enough room for both of us to explore :)
I have a small car and we want to stay under 6,000 I go to lots of dog shows and field trials. I would like room for 3 crates maybe under a bed or have them as the seating bench and an a incinerator toilet no water needed. Almost (75%) everywhere has a shower to use. Thanks for this though I really like how you explained things and didn't take forever but was thorough
What about all the Nucamp t@b and t@g options? The T@b 320S has everything 2 people would want with the pleasure of a toilet/shower, and room to swing a cat. Or Safari Condo alto? The teardrop world has exploded in the last couple of years. I feel like you chose some pretty random examples. The Barefoot (UK and Europe only) is also a great one for people to check out. The finishings are spectacular!
I'm in my late 50's and do not need to hear your personal opionions or experience, I want facts. I would encourage anyone to follow this site. Personally, Thank you for not wasting my time and providing the insight I needed for continued research on products I have interest in.
The ideal D.I.Y. unit would use light weight steel studs, frame and slide onto a utility trailer for seasonal use. To minimize wind drag, the uit would have a roof upper walls that nest over top of the bottom unit. Windows and doors would be placed into the frame after raising the roof.. All camper amenities would be installed in the lower half of the package. Light weight steel studs with 6 inch depth provide sufficient space for cold and hot weather insulation.. Scissor action of an exterior support frame would raise the top.
Make one out of a small aluminium (punt) boat on a trailer. Make an arch roof (like those old school wagons) out of tinted 1.5 mm thick poly carbonate. Make end arch bulkhead shapes out of wood. Front bulkhead has door and rear bulkhead has a window that is also an escape hatch (no access through poly carbonate sides. Make a bench seat at the rear and a narrow bench top at the front and a table for your computer at the bench (like a dinette) that converts to full length bed. See my channel for my "Funky Wagon" near the top of my list. Cheers.
Still the best! Volkswagen Westaflia camper; drive it to work, drop the kids off at practice, haul sheets of plywood, then go camping! Best damned design ever!
I just come across this as a suggested video...I like mini RV'S so I subscribed. Good video, I like the fact you include pricing estimates and show details of the units in a no nonsense way.
I liked #2 the Forest River, the bunk beds sold me. I really would like to see some campers that can be used in the winter for hunting trips or blizzard camping. Yup, some people actually do that, lol 😆. Thanks Minds She design. 🌴😎🌴FL
The LIttle Guy Minimax, and the Armidillo are the winners in this list although there were a number of interesting units in this video. The Armidillo is made using 13ft molds that were originally from Bigfoot from what I know, and so the unit is likely able to withstand tougher weather conditions then some of the other options on this list being an all fibreglass shell with insulation - I don't know if it is true 4 season like a Bigfoot but at the very least its quite extended 3 season. Its certainly built to a very high quality standard and would last decades.
I enjoyed seeing all the options. I have an 87 Easy Up motorcycle camper...in excellent condition. They now sell for around $3400 but got mine used for $750! Pulls easy, very compact...less than 350 pounds, and is waterproof, basically a large tent on wheels. Pretty spartan, but I like that for camping, not being interested in taking it all with me! Ha ha. And can easily sleep 4 when needed.
My favorites are Little Guy Mini Max and the Armadillo. Both are designed well. Since I am not interested in an indoor shower, I prefer the Armadillo. But I could easily see myself in the Little Guy. My hesitation comes from the fact that they do not mention the insulation on their website and I cannot tell if their campers can be used in frigid temperatures. Whereas the Armadillo advertises the ability to use the camper in very cold temps. In addition, the Armadillo has this extremely handy storage tray that goes under the camper. Every camper should have this feature. Dealing with where to put the hoses is always a challenge.
I have 8 birds that could be placed in two cages; but it would be crowded; and 2 large dogs. I need something to evacuate if necessary without leaving my little ones behind to die.
I like mini, because it's just me right now. I lose track by the end of the video, so I'll take them all. Please tell me that wasn't really you, Reacher, at the beginning.
The Abdo Kallab, you are well on your way my friend. When I was fourteen I built a hanglider out of bamboo and plastic. I crashed terribly from the garage roof. I wanted to fly. But, I became a hangliding instructor in my twenties. You have a desire, and time will let you pursue it. If you want it bad enough, you can get it. Never give up my friend.
The back seats in my dodge neon fold down exposing the trunk. I can put a big pillow between the front seats and stretch out. I prefer to call it a camping experience while others may call it homelessness.
I dont drink that often but when I do I like to put on my Jean shirt with cut-off sleeves and throw back a couple PBRs. So happy to know that there are others out there like me. God Bless you Reacher.. bahahahahaha
Well, all of these campers are really cool but... so I checked out the comments and saw a lot of people had the same but... they’re a little too big for a solo person or a couple and way too expensive for my budget. Can you guys upload some camper vans and trailers that are a little less fancy but doable?
Thank you Minds Eye Design, I subscribed to your channel last week and I thoroughly love what you guys do. I recently moved from a life in Hawaii to the mainland. Canada to be precise. My dream is to discover all that the wilderness has to offer, and travel the country on a limited budget, but unlimited returns of discovery and joy. Mahalo nui loa for your guys inspiration.
For all of us Tall guys like Basketball Players, can you do a show on Trailers and Motorhomes with the Highest Ceilings? I'm tired of having an outdoor shower because i'm too tall for the indoor one! (I'm 6' 6")
Really enjoyed checking out all of the campers. I really liked the last one. I like the small campers but I want enough room not to feel smothered. I like the solar packages because I want to be off road. I dont really want to camp in your standard camp grounds.
I think I'm too addicted to watching camper videos. I don't own one. But, the feeling of freedom and living rent free is so overwhelmingly kick ass !!!
My fave was number 5, the Swiftscape. I dream of being a fulltime RV dweller and this would be perfect! As a solo female, the size is perfect (as is the price!) and it has a bathroom with shower! I'd add more solar panels. I like some of the campers, but being a solo female, I like being in a RV that I can jump into the driver's seat at a moment's notice!
Stephen Ho, do a lot of thinking, and research. I’m looking for a trailer built for two, but I don’t want to sacrifice much in the way of comfort or quality. After lots of research, the Lance 1475 seems to meet all my criteria. It’s a bit pricey, but the comfort and quality is there.
I love these travel trailers as well as the “mini” RV’s!!! However my favorite is #1!!! But, you NEVER SAY WHERE THEY ARE SOLD???? It would be nice to know...anyway it was a great video, I enjoyed it very much!, keep them coming!!!
OK, the number 1 camper @ 29k... I bought a used 37 foot diesel pusher for 30k that can tow my jeep and had super low miles on it... 300 HP! A rolling home at 250 sq ft and full sized appliances including a washer/dryer combo, queen bed and pull out queen. Massive storage and a 50" flatscreen tv, dual furnace and dual AC class A Motorhome. I may have gotten ripped off on this deal... but my wife and I have been living the dream for 3 years on the road and it is priceless to us... Not a weekender camping module, but a mobile living structure. there are plenty of good deals out there for used motorhomes with great potential... do your homework and snag a find you can live with and within.
