My grandpa used to always make sesame noodles for lunch, it’s a staple in Beijing during the summer. I’ve been craving them for so long and tried a bunch of recipes to no avail… until i found this video!! WOW GIRL this is the REAL DEAL!! I threw a splash of black vinegar on top like i did growing up and it tasted just like childhood ☺️ thank you for this!

I LOVE Kecap Manis!- my Malaysian friends introduced me to one of the easiest chicken dishes I’ve ever cooked. It’s basically chicken pieces, skin and bone included, fry up a sliced onion, add the chicken, add Kecap Manis and Chinese cooking wine, a little “normal” soy sauce and braise u til chickens cooked a liquid slightly thickened, and eat with plain rice and steamed veggies (bok Choi for eg)
