A quick snapshot of some of the daily breeding activity in the fishroom #fish #aquarium #aquariumfish #fishtank #killifish #breeding #fishkeeping #fishroom #aquascape #hobby
I keep watching as I’d love a fish room for killi’s and corys too 😃 I’ve got a few killi species now, most kept separate. Would love to have a dedicated space to keep them and raise fry without running out of tanks
@@KillieOrCory I’ve got some old old books from the 50’s/60’s that my Dad had when he kept tropical fish. They had killi’s in but I could never see them, always wanted them but the myth that they were needing soft water and only lived weeks was still widely believed by many. Luckily I stumbled across them a few years ago in a great shop nearby, since been to a couple of killifish auctions here last year and seen things like young pairs of A.Primigenium, A.Ottogartneri and got them for £5 a pair. I have a pair of Gardneri Rayfield that I was pushed to £9 for. I know it’s about exchanging fish between hobbyists but I really believe these fish should all be much more sought after and hold a place in many more shops
I just found you, too. Looking through the chat, I know several of these folks. Neat tour of your fishroom and your process. Thanks for sharing! Cheers! ~Ron BTW - I just SUBSCRIBED too. 🙂
Blue-eyes put their eggs in mops, but also in amongst plants etc. The glass container has a mixture of aquarium soil and sand, it’s for the tiny sword plant that is not easy to see in the video.
