This pranayama breathing exercise is a Kundalini meditation that guides the pranic energy through the body in a way that boosts our immune system, both on an energetic level and a physical level. We begin by tuning in, an essential part of our Kundalini practice that prepares our body, mind, and spirit for the work we do during our at-home practice. Then we use the hand gesture, Surya Mudra, as we practice Breath of Fire. This is a prescriptive practice in Kundalini yoga that is designed to support your immune system and purify your nasal passages. (If you don't have any experience with Breath of Fire, read through my blog post below.) This is a simple practice that can be done anywhere at any time but is especially powerful first thing in the morning. I love using it to energize my day and strengthen my immune system!

I do regular breath of fire almost every morning but this one-nostril version was very hard for me. I couldn't sustain it for long; I was suffocating. Any tips to get over this?

I've been doing these for couple years now along with meditation I've been having well very intense vibration down in my butt area. Upwards and right inside my head like. Hard to explain. But It won't stop even when I'm trying to sleep and there's several other symptoms I'm scared to mention to be honest. What do I do. Please help !!??

Hi Brett! Every time I do this meditation I find difficult to do breath of fire with one nostril. I get out of breath and i have to pause to inhale, was wondering if there is something I could do. Thank you so much!

Great, just a couple of things. It's "OM" not "ONG", the mantra you are chanting means, "I bow the lord of light (or God)". ONG is a slang meaning "I swear on God". Secondly, Dev is pronounced as "TH" in "Though", "This". Awesome video once again. A fan here :)

4 min of opening and we start breathing, very light on breathing part even for the rest of the video. Only positive is you're not dropping Bajan's name.
