I come back to these exercises again and again, for quite some years now. also your shoulder videos and the vom leg videos. They always help to get rid of my pains and the stiffening up of these joints. Being 65 it’s high maintenance unfortunately and when I let my exercise routine slip your targeted exercises get me sorted out like magic. Also I love your 14 day Pilates to which I have returned to strengthen again. Thank you for your great routines of all sorts. Love it! Susan

I really enjoyed this workout-every day I discover a different one of your videos. Foolishly, I thought this would be easy but I learnt just how shaky my balance really is! Lots of fun though and I could definitely feel it working. Love your stuff!

Absolutely surprised by how effectively you can feel your exercises working. I am rehabilitating from an ACL surgery and this is helping. Thank you so much for the content. Do you have any suggestion for which video can be specifically useful for the ACL rehab where building up of muscle strength around and on both sides of knees is important? Keep up the great work! :)

I"m 77 and struggling with you brief workouts because my balance muscle still need trainingI've committed myself to doing the leg and the arm workout twice daily for 10 weeks. Ill let you know how I'm doing in a few weeks. I have several other goals for the same period, daily to eat less.

My glutes were not firing , doing this throught out the lockdown increased my mobilty ,walking and step count !

Try this lower body routine it's a 25 Minute routine from my Invigorate Program 😊👋 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XVMuggLsxhY.htmlsi=-MWyAaXjYilyv0pj I do not really have specific calf and inner thigh band as they are tricky muscles to target with a band. But many of my other videos integrate this through other movements 👍💯 Let me know if you need any other help ok!

Do these bands dig into your thighs when you tie them like that? I purchased some reebok ones but since I'm heavy with thick thighs they roll and hurt the heck out of me because they dig in.

Hi there yes unfortunately they do roll a bit these stretchy ones when tied up. You could get the material loop bands which would help in this case 🙏 Sorry these are not quite right. I did film this video a while ago too and many of my clients at that time only had stretchy ones so I video using this, but you can do with a material loop band ✅️ Let me know if you need any other help! Day 6 done. You are the best with your instruction. I looked at other band work choices. one of them is down right dangerous with their sloppy or lack of guidance on posture, movement. Thank you very much for sharing.

Hi Sanaa, thank you so much and hope your knees are ok. It really depends if it's a deep knee problem or injury, or whether it's just a general ache from perhaps quads or surrounding muscles being weak. I would say give it a go but do not bend too low. Which is better resistance bands or tubes?

Both are excellent however I've always used resistance bands, long ones, because you can use them for literally everything 👌😀 Whereas tubes you cannot place around feet for seated work (in my other vids) and are limited to some movements like you cannot wrap them around legs like you can these long ones or small loop resistance bands. 😉 So all are great in there own way but these are most versatile if a person only had one band, these are it! Loved this workout. I placed one hand on a side chair for security of balance. Yesterday did band for arms. Going to follow up with meditation ❤️

Oh no! Perhaps try them without the band for a while till you build up. Or you could do a different leg routine on this Playlist, or even in another Playlist on my channel. Do you feel it's leg weakness or lack of flexibility holding you back?

Ok if the balance is a problem then place your hands on a chair or wall, something steady. This will help. Over time the hips will gain more strength doing these side leg lifts and similar moves. Completed all with 2kg weights on ankles - except for the pendulum - and couldn’t get this one - balance all over the place. Finished with a 45 sec plank

Hi Beth! Yes you do a circuit or hiit style using the band. I am limited to film it right now as I'm 24 weeks pregnant, but I can surely do it next year! What you could do is set times for each exercise like 30 seconds, and add in some more cardio moves as well as band work for increased intensity and heart rate. 💪✌

Great legs workout with band. My balance was on this morning, exception leg circles. When moving in circle motion, it requires me to reach out to wall. I just did the 30 minute seated band followed by the 12 minute shoulder workouts. I woke up energized (and balanced) this morning. Thanks Vanessa 😊❤️

This was a great short workout - and great that it was standing - because I’m in the SMALLEST HOTEL ROOM - I’ve ever been in - in my life - room enough for the bed and less than a meter at the end of the bed - will have to save the cardio routine for tomorrow morning at the park!!

Just starting my body strength journey and don't have any equipment other than a few dumbbells and a rebounder. BUT, my husband got a theraband from his chiropractor to strengthen his shoulder and now I can use that in SO many ways! Thank you for this and your other theraband workouts!

I have a full body band workout in the THERABAND playlist, plus actually filmed another today coming on soon, funny you should ask that! I also have LOTS to fix posture and strengthen whole body without band in the PILATES and BODY STRENGTH playlist. The different labels will tell you the focus for that particular workout. I am a bit limited with doing core and floor work right now as I'm half way through pregnancy! But have a look at the other videos and hope you enjoy them too. 💪

Hi, I love this workout, however I struggle with bad knees and had to support myself on a chair to take the weight off my knees. Can you post a routine for knees? Thanks

Hello! This is a strong workout for the knees as alot of it is single leg holding to gain that extra intensity. I would suggest you do not do this unless you have good balance and knee strength, as the band also increases the intensity again a level. Hey Vanessa, great job with this video! I am pretty new to the world of taking care of my bodyshape and don't have time to visit gym or see an instructor. Talking to some friends who work out a lot and checking informations online, I decided to buy myself some therabands and give it a try to do some exercises at home. After watching some videos I decided to pick up yours. It has been just 3 days, and I am determined to keep up with it! I want to work on the legs only for now. I don't feel tired after the exercises and nothing is hurting or annoying me, I hope that's a good sign. I will definitely let you know how I feel after a few weeks. Very important to me is the way you present your exercises. The way you talk is easy to understand, images and voice are clear. Thanks for your quality content!

Wow thank you so much for your lovely compliments! Great work for getting bands and deciding to get started. Over time you may find you do get more sore as deeper muscles are recruited. However, the way I structure my videos and use bands and no high impact moves, you will never get that same soreness as gym sessions for example. Actually, it's better to work for quality not quantity and soreness anyway. More sustainable, feels better and deeper strength, tone and balance is achieved! I have been teaching 20 yrs now so thank you for your comments on the delivery of videos. I always try to keep it clear and help people understand why and how to do the movements. If there is anything else you need let me know 🤗 Over time you could try the other routines for upper body, core (which is super important) and look at the other playlists as you like. Thank you Vanessa for answering to my comment! Your experience through the years surely brought you to be very competent for both the knowledge and the teaching skills themselves. What I found particularly important is that you look and sound human while presenting, so I feel like some friend or at least a "person" is explaining to me what and how to do it, which is way more pleasant then how other videos I stumbled across are presented. About the routine itself, I managed to do it around 3 times a week past weeks, on random days when I had the 10 spare minutes. I hope that not doing the routine at regular intervals still is fine and effective. It is hard to have regular weekly plans while working on irregular shifts, but I am not surrending! Take care ♡

Thanks for your videos, Vanessa! I love them :) I wanted to ask you something, as I have femoral anteversion I need to work on strengthening the glutes and work on the external rotators of my hips. I wonder if you have any videos that target the hip external rotators? Thanks a lot :)

Thank you for your comment so glad you like the videos! 🙏🤗 yes so with the femoral anteversion I do not have anything specific for external rotation of the hips, but can certainly film it! I'll piece some exercises together and add it to filming next week ok 🤗💪does this cause pain as such? Or have you just been told to work on external rotation? What you can do in the meantime is any of my videos (lower body and legs) where we do squats and turn feet out slightly from the hip. The 'Pilates Squats' , and any of the side lying leg lifts, focusing on turning your knee to face the ceiling moreso than forward. Does this make sense? Let me know if you need anything else ok 😀

@@Vanessabhealthtv Thanks so much! That's really kind of you :) I've been told to work on external rotation of the hips and strengthening glutes. I've been also doing some ballet so hopefully, it will be helpful too. I'm usually not in pain unless I walk a lot, and then my hips and knees get sore.

Question. Why do you say right leg when you are doing the left leg?

Hi Alicia 🤗 when I was teaching complicated aerobics routines years ago my class would do the mirror image of me doing the movements, so I'd be moving to the left stepping on my left leg when it would actually be everyone else's right leg, as they were facing me. So I've kept that up for videos as I'm guessing most people are doing the mirror image and facing me. This is easier for people 👌 and less confusing especially if we change sides or direction. I'd never been asked that so good question! Let me know if you need anything else ok 😉

It would be easier to do with the loop bands, no need to tie them.

Hello, thanks for connecting 😀 many people do not have loop bands so this is a versatile way to use the long band in a similar way, plus you get different effects using a long band for these types of exercises and little more range of movement if the loop bands are strong 👌🤗
