Your attitude, considering what you have been through, lately, is amazing! I’m grateful to find out that the rabies shots are not, any more, the horrific trauma that they were when I was a boy!
Dear N-Scale Dystopia, glad to hear you passed the test of rabies vaccination time(s). Love the way you laser cut the paper silhouettes for the backdrops. Even though you said you weren’t completely happy with the results of stencil method, I humbly think that the combination of the two makes a great idea for enhancing the perspective quality of the effects. It brings a shaded sense of layer to the ‘flats,’ which simply adds the body the background vista needs. On the access hatch, you may wanna add some magnets to make the hatch sit snug with the surrounding scenery. Also, some details like a pile of rubble, or railroad ties on the edge will help camouflage the seam. Kinda cool to include your version of Dismaland. However, even though your layout has a dystopian theme, it may be a good idea to have this section in two alternate versions. But that’s just a suggestion, after all it’s your layout. Cheerio
I'll 'fiddle' with the hatch. I can easily disguise the seams with rubble etc - it will be a good '10 minute project'. I think the loop at the end of the layout is a perfect place for a diorama - which to your point - creates a nice visual barrier between the normal and the offbeat. Thanks!
Now that's true dedication to the Dystopia theme: joining the rage-infested rabies zombie army... All joking aside, glad to hear you recovered from the bite and made great progress with this marvelous project. Adding a dystopian theme park is a great way to add some fun variety to the layout! So we have Dismaland, The Main Station building, the Tram bridges, the large buildings with grafitti and the major train yard. And some smaller buildings and a parking garage scattered throughout the rest of the layout. I love how this project keeps coming together.
Oof! Rabies is srs bsns! Glad to see you're ok! Still some steady progress there, and the new inspiration looks like it's going to lead to some fun stuff!
Dude, sorry about your rabies experience! Jeez. Disturbed by the quantity of meds required for it, but glad you got it cured. Nice progress for this update, I am excited to see what you do for your Dismayland addition.
Sorry to hear about the bite, that amount of drugs were crazy, hope all is well. I like the 10mins a day, it’s great for this hobby… glue is dry the next day and start again. Great video, thanks for sharing. 🤠👍
Good to see you and your update. Sorry about your bite, wow. I think we always heard about what people have to go thru. Seeing g it is another thing, I couldn't believe the amount involved. Glad you are feeling better. I like you 10 minutes a day. With summer here it's easy to get too busy for the train room. I'm going to give it a shot also, probably work out to 20 or 30 ...lol. Thanks for the update, good to see the Dystopia buildings on the layout, and looking forward to you new idea. 👍👍
I was shocked when the nurse dumped the meds on the counter! (It wasn't that bad in the end - but it still took over 45 minutes!) As for the 'daily grind' - it does work. Sort of like eating healthy and exercise - you don't have to like it, but a little bit every day makes a difference.
I got bit by a fox while in Minnesota a couple of years ago. Luckily it was at a fox rescue place so I didn’t have to worry about rabies and I just had to get a tetanus shot and some antibiotics.
Wait, what? You were bit by a stray animal?? I’m worried that you didn’t mention the type of animal. I’m not sure I want to ask. If you pet a wild raccoon I may have to question our relationship. Love your work and I’m excited to see your theme park come together. Splash Mountain will have an entire new meaning.
Hope the vacines don't stop you too much because your plans look great. I'll have to look into dismeyland as well as I haven't been keeping up with banksy in recent years.
Great Update I do like the idea of Banksy Dismalland Theme Park as we would call it here in the UK. Perhaps Michael from Chandwell might be able to let you use some of his Stanley & Scotty Graffiti artwork. I made some skateboarders for his Chandwell Indoor Mar et Plaza, which might be something to consider for your Park Midway. Also I have some photos of Banksy 2 pieces Artwork from his Spraycation in East Anglia England in 2021. He went around some of the rundown seaside towns of East Anglia and did about few works. If you let me know a contact email I can send them. Ian
@@NScaleDystopia I email photos of 2 works if you didn’t know the story during the 2nd summer of COVID we in the Uk were encouraged to stay in the UK for holidays vacations which was called a Staycation, so Banksy went all round East Anglia and did a number of works. Many were in run down socially deprived towns So his little tour got called Spraycation. Ian
Do you sell your N Scale Dystopia stickers? If not, and if you happen to have some extras, would you be up for a sticker exchange with an N scale modular club out in Atlantic Canada?
