The current world number one! Trump has compiled more than 800 century breaks in professional competition! In the 2019-20 season, he became the second player to achieve 100 century breaks in a single season!
That scares me😜 He may top Ronnie with his 1230 🥴 I dont know this guy but he surprises me. Still noone can take the seats of Hendry and Osullivan. They should be on the snooker Logo😂
Very true, but you do have to know a bit to understand how hard and amazing some of the pots he gets, like not many people know how hard it is to put maximum left you can on cue ball and shoot it from when end to the other and get the pot....let alone get positioning as well but I hear u
@@cormac1837: On, yes, it's usually the case that you have to be very good at something in order to understand how good the masters are. However, you don't actually _need_ to know how difficult it is, because so few players, even among the best in the world, tries to do what he does.
Judd is an awesome player: technically brilliant and very entertaining. I can't believe he played those shots at 3:33, 4:16, 6:12, 7:22, and 7:55, and of course *that* shot at 8:34
I'm so glad the included the training practice at 4.42. Brilliance on the table doesn't just happen. Countless hours of practice is why the champions make it look so easy.
@@kharkhar308 He applied so much topspin to the cue ball that it persisted after it hit the top cushion and slowed the momentum of the ball down to land perfectly behind the brown. All while making it look like he's just goofing around. Crazy shot.
I love the way he seems to play without fear or pressure, bangs in these unreal shots that's other players would attempt on the practice table but not when there's so much at stake, which is I think why they are all smiling thinking "fair play for that one mate"
Judd is not only the greatest potter the game has ever seen he's a shot maker aswell. He see's shots that most players don't see and if they did they would'nt attempt them. We've seen some fantastic potters in this sport over the last 30yrs but i truly believe Judd is on a totally different level. On times he's unbelievable
Other players don't do these shots because they simply don't NEED to do these kinds of shots. Great player would cannon the red from the black and not just going around and eventually pot it along the cushion like Trump did. It's a good pot but it just shows how Trump either can't or don't want to do those simple shots just to make the clearance easier. He is willing to entertain the crowd and it's good but I will never name Alex Higgins, Jimmy White, Willie Thorne etc. the best player the game has ever seen. He is a great entertainer but logically truly the greatest players avoid to make these shots, which is wise as there's no 100% possibility you'd pot it.
@@mussaaliyev5922 i believe i said he's the greatest potter the game has ever seen. How many times have you watched Judd and thought...thats it end of break???? Then he pulls out an outrageous shot to keep the break going. He also sees a lot of shots others dont and won't play.
@@jason147h6 Other great players apart from Judd are the greatest break-builders too. They would prefer cannoning the ball and not trying to pot off the cushion because there is no sense in it if you cannon the ball. The easier it looks, the more effective break becomes. Eventually it becomes a century, only because you cannoned the ball or made a great split. Judd prefers doubles, plants, off the cushion shots etc. It makes YOU feel he's the greatest potter but I gonna tell you he isn't. Have you seen other players performing these shots? No. Me either. It's not because they CAN'T make these shots, it's because they DON'T NEED to make these shots. Not because they're TOO HARD TO PERFORM, but because THERE IS NO SENSE IN DOING THEM due to the great positional play of these players. For example, in the end of the video Judd pots the black in a very strange manner, it's cool but have you seen other players making so? No, just because the position of the cueball could be very simply avoided by just an accurate positional shot.
@@mussaaliyev5922 ok my friend. We're on different levels here. GREATEST PLAYER purely based on tournament wins is Osullivan FACT. IMO and many top pros Judd is by far the best potter....nothing is safe and he is a SHOT MAKER. At the moment he is about the only player that can and has bullied Osullivan on the table. Never the less i still believe if both players are at the top of their game Osullivan pips it. Only a handful of players have the cue power that Judd possess' to even attempt the shots he plays. Plus Judd loves to entertain ontop of being a ruthless winner
@@mussaaliyev5922 Judd not a great breakbuilder you say???? Third on the all time list for centuries made only Osullivan and Higgins ahead of him.....only only the second player to compile 100 centuries in a season........i can confidently say that boy knows how to break build and position the white alright
Yip, the boy is a genius, his performance in the world final that he won against Higgins was the best snooker I've ever witnessed and his performance in the world final he lost to Higgins wasn't bad either. 👏 🙌
If Ronnie ever retires it will be judd who brings in the crowds he does it now of course with his ability and flair but there’s no one else even close to Ronnie and Judd and they keep snooker alive and exciting for the new watchers/ players coming through it’s what the game has always needed in Alex then Jimmy Ronnie and Judd who’s coming next I wonder
Yeah surely, but the enterntainment value is in different aspects of the game. You watch Ronnie for the fast breaks, and Judd for the unimaginable pots. Nevertheless, Ronnie isn't on top form these days.
He will overtake Ronnie's amount of century breaks eventually. Ronnie has five years left at best and Trump at least fifteen and more. Ronnie said he never used to chase 100 breaks like Hendry did. I'm sure he'd have three hundred more if he had.
@@Bobby-fj8mk Nah, basically just a shot that pool players would play. Only that we rarely see Snooker players play that style. Judd Trump does it alot. Far more risky, but also allows to get out of situations where other players would play a safety and risk prolonging the frame tenfold. (also needless to say, the table is larger than a pool table, but the technique for shots like this is still the same)
I have been playing billiards for nearly 30 years mostly 8 ball and 9 ball. I truly love the dynamics of it. But I had never heard of snooker is there anywhere in Texas, Oklahoma, or Arkansas that I could go to learn and play?
He will never be as good as Ronnie in his prime, but with a far better attitude and temperament like he has already he will be the only one to get close
classic Ronnie break is smooth fast and made to look easy due to cue ball positional perfection. classic Trump break is cue ball frequently running off course and pulling off incredible recovery shots...thankyou to you both for the most enjoyable snooker in this era
@David Riley Ok, I guess you are part of the Ronnie fan club, but at least read the whole sentence. The guy said "the best power potter", not the best potter of all time. And Judd's cue power is obvious.
He is and I hope he becomes the snooker player to take over from Ronnie, coz if he doesn't I don't wanna watch snooker when Ronnie retires! The vast majority of the other snooker players are too bleeding boring to watch!👁👀👁🤔🤯😮🤔🤔
It's hard to read or even think about his madness cause his poker face when he playing makes me think he is so serious and sensible and he is rarely smiling ( only when he is winning or happy)
Great player but massive underachiever despite having won 22 ranking titles and 3 majors.Should be a top 5 player in history easily with his ability by the time he's 40.
underachiever? he gonna break every record by the time he retires from snooker...im a ronnie fan die hard but this guy is the face of modern snooker and will be remembered as a GOAT.
@@shahanaj6227 Except world championships. I would see Selby get to 6 or 7 by the time he retires, but Trump will probably not get that many. He IS the most talented player in snooker history by far though. Just lacks composure and maturity still.
@@shahanaj6227 so Trump who has 3 Major's to his name in 17 years is going to break Ronnie O'Sullivan's record of 20 Major's before he retires......Well he needs to hurry the F### Up.
