“Any betrayal you can see is trivial, what is truly frightening and much more lethal, is the betrayal you cannot see.” That’s my favorite Aizen moment. Followed closely by Aizen commenting on the Soul King and referring to him as a “thing”. I could see why Aizen wanted to change the structure soul society and how the world worked.
I love how Aizen both figuratively AND literally made Bleach what it is. Without him, there would be no Ichigo, no Arrancar army, no Vizards, the Soul Society would have been totally different and the Quincy would most likely have won the war. Aizen is just as, if not more in some ways then even the main character, the key figure of the series, and yet he is still shrouded in so much mystery. Just an overall amazing antagonist and character.
Here's a very low key one from CFYOW: when Aizen wanted to tell Ichigo the truth about the Spirit King and his near fate in the novel's opening. We can ponder Ichigo's reaction to the knowledge that he was nearly made a battery, and the nobility doubling down on concealing the truth and fortifying their power base even as they were scurrying to their estates having been cowed by the war. Even as he was being returned to prison Aizen still tried to upset the system. To be expected.
Another great moment in my eyes was his plan reveal at the soul society arc, when he tells unohana he wasn't hiding but rather preparing. and when he stabs hitsugaya without any difficulty after using dyogren hyorinmaru, he says "snow in this time of year... how beautiful". love that moment
Aizen has some of the most raw one liners in anime history. "I alone will stand at the top.". "How long have you been under the illusion that I wasn't using Kyokasuigetsu?". "Admiration is the furthest thing to understanding." "Welcome to my Soul Society."
I always liked when Aizen confronts Hitsugaya and Unohana in central 46, revealing his true power and he’s just like yea I did all this, what’s up guys?
Agree , he’s so badass being such a threat even while 50% sealed , he’s insanely broken. He has more raw power and Intelligence than Ywhbach , Ywhbach has a powerful hax and lots of power but he’s nowhere close to Aizen without the Almighty ability
Scariest thing about him in the TYBW arc was that 1) he was strapped to the chair during that part with the soul kings power, meaning he was partially sealed at the time but had enough power to crush all of those monster things. 2) he wasn't at full power when he fought Ywhach either. He was still partially sealed then too. Aizen is so far above everybody else. Without Ywhachs busted ability he's nothing to aizen and that's being nice about it
I love you man, I've read bleach twice but you still find cool ways to frame the best moments in the series. Your ability to discern details that most would miss is out of this world. Best wishes to you and your channel.
Oddly enough, one of my favorite Aizen moments is when he’s defeated. By that point he lost both his power and his composure and starts screaming his deepest feelings about the world and the soul king to Urahara. It was shocking behavior from him and also revealed that he knew far more about the Bleach world than the audience at that point.
Truth. His tirade may have seemed immature but it dives deeper to the fact that the so called King is nothing but a puppet that has no free will, something Aizen wanted to subvert even if it was for his god tier ego.
It was definitely out of character but that doesn’t make it unrealistic for him. Sometimes people act out of character under stress, as Aizen is losing after all his preparation of course he loses his composure and becomes angry
The scene where Aizen reveals that Ichigo's life was all apart of his plan and when he cuts down Halibel before turning to Shinji was really cool to me
Add that to the fact that Ichigo in SHIKAI could tank the attack of a zanpakuto as strong as a million other that is supposed to disintegrate into atoms everything it comes into contact with, and I was completely blowing out when I realized the whole picture
@@MashuSlyferiux spoiler . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . It was also revealed in the flashback of ichigo's hollow origin that his hollow White was created through multiple Shinigami souls which is equivalent to zanpaktos since a zanpakto is the manifestation of the soul. Couple it with his Quincy power side Details and foreshadowing 👀
His bankai wasnt THAT strong. He was a little stronger than Byakuya who isnt even top 5. If you added SS Ichigo to the captain rankings he would be somewhere around rank 7-9. He isnt beating any of the top 6 captains for sure, not even close. They all mid diff him at worst and thats being generous.
Hands down favorite Aizen moment is when he has Orihime restore Grimmjows arm. The look on his face when he wastes Luppi. It really defines the heartlessness of his character
honestly i think almost every panel he is in aizen is just amazing! but out of everything my favourite moment is him fighting alongside Ichigo!! there is something that makes me so happy about seeing them work together, that little panel at 19:49 is just one of my favourites. happy birthday to one of the best characters of all time!!
I like the idea of this video and Aizen's moments but I got two more: 1) In the SS Arc when he tooks down Hinamori, Toshiro and then explains to Unohaha and Isane the powers of Kyoka Suigetsu. 2) After his battle with Ichigo when he's sealed and when he totally loses it and rages at Urahara and their views on the Soul King.
I will second you on that second moment. Watching him lose his mind and scream with such raw anguish about "how can you serve that thing so blindly?" was so jarring. It was nothing like him to lose his composure like that and I'll never forget that scene because of it. It's just too damn good.
Not gonna lie, the Shunsui - Aizen Muken scene is gonna be SO FUCKING AWESOME in the Anime! Especially with us seeing and hearing a less casual and more serious shunsui.
I will forever maintain that Kyoka Suigetsu is Aizen's Bankai and the previously mentioned ''lie'' that it uses water refraction to create illusions is the actual Shikai. It would explain the swords name (Mirror Flower Water Moon). It would explain why his Bankai was never revealed and why it is so powerful for a mere Shikai. I bring this up because this is one of the greatest Aizen moments imo: he lies so much that he even lies about his lies. No one knows what is true. Not us, not them. Nobody.
Aizen made his Shikai powerful we even see this with Byakuya after the royal palace training his Shikai fooled As Nodt into thinking it was his Bankai, besides it's a pretty simplistic ability compared to every other bankai no matter how powerful it is if it was it would be unlike every other Bankai shown aside from Ichigo's true Bankai that we didn't get to see the full extend of.
@@shadymann9468 Ikkaku’s and Kenpachi’s Bankai weren’t complex abilities. They were just bigger, heavier blades. And Soifon’s is just a rocket. While I agree that it’s possible his shikai is just that strong, it’s technically possible that Aizen is another powerhouse with a simple Bankai. The only thing is, he doesn’t command Kyoka Suigetsu to release as Bankai generally require…
@@iReiGNxx I can give you Soi Fon but Kenpachi's was very imature version of what it can be due to the time he had to unlock it but it completly transformed him unlike every other Bankai we have seen but put him in a almost completly berserk state ( almost because Yachiru seemed able to communicate with him but due to what she is it makes sense) Ikaku wasn't overly complicated however we only got to see also a glimpse of what could be due to it breaking. Just because there are exceptions it doesn't mean that because we don't know we can assume and take our presumptions as facts. Also Bankai even the simple ones tend to have a secondary element to them, Ikaku's build up, Gin's poison, Zaraki's transformation, Tosen's enclosure and Kensei's changing knuckles as exemples.
That quote has stuck with me ever since! I'm kinda surprised that him stabbing Momo and being confronted by Hitsugaya and Unohana didn't make the list. Not only was it the first time we see "evil" Aizen, but it also served as one of the first times we see a real difference in captain-level power hierarchy.
Personally, one of my favorite scene (even more in the anime) is when Aizen just let's his rage out while getting sealed after taking Mugetsu head on, weakened, and yelling at Urahara about how he could stay so idle with all the intel and possibilities he has to change the shinigami world. You feel all the hatred he has, his truest and most emotional side, not wanting to be ruled over, wanting to go forward, and yet he's here being stopped by the one he hates the most for keeping going along with the Soul King system. I really love it.
honestly, these videos you pour your heart and time into are probably the best parts of my day. tom you will never know how much your channel means to us.
Aizen revealing his shiki to Unahana, after cementing himself as the main antagonist of the series is my favourite Aizen moment. However, I'd have to say my favorite quote from him would be "admiration is the furthest from understanding". This one line encapsulates exactly how he succeeded in deceiving everyone for centuries.
Call it Soul Society bias, but when Aizen stabs Hinamori and Hitsugaya finds them was very good. Aizen's cold look as Hinamori is stabbed. The scene with Unohana figuring out the corpse wasn't real and Aizen reveals the abilities of Kyokasuigetsu was pretty good as well.
Because of that moment i always wondered if aizen has a bankai at all. When isane talks about his zanpakuto and how he tricked everyone i wondered much later if aizen even has a bankai or if the hypnotism ability is the bankai already
My favorite one is either the end of soul society arc or when he was defeated by mugetsu ichigo, he started a speech against kisuke and completly lose his calm attitude, really fascinating to see how much this defeat meant to him and broke his mind
My favorite Aizen moment has to be just this specific quote. I don't remember who he said this to, but this has just stuck with me for the past few years I've been in the fandom. "We're all the same. No one really remembers the day he was born. We all have to trust another's word on the matter. It doesn't matter if it's true or not. Just having a birthday makes one happy I think." That one quote has had so much staying power for me because of how true it rings. My man was always dropping so raw asf lines, and this one is my favorite for sure.
For me his speech about the Reio is the best. You can see the dichotomy between him and Kisuke there. Though I'd argue it's more of a Kisuke AND Aizen moment.
My top 3 3. When were you under the impression I *wasnt* using Kyoka Suigetsu? 2. Welcome to MY soul society 1. So you think I am Kurosaki Ichigo....fascinating
I would kill for a VN about Gin more than just about any of the cast of Bleach. Books are perfect for expanding on his perspective as a Captain and double agent. Have all the the time and space needed to get into his internal thought process and motivation more. I really think an entire long story about Gin basically throwing away his entire life, and putting on a persona despite loathing Aizen he had to keep up perfectly to stay under Aizen's suspicions would be really interesting. Like imagine if most of their conversations were Gin playing 4D chess trying to say & do exactly what Aizen wants to hear. He did that for at least 100 years. Just the mind games aspect of that would make a cool book. It could also expand more on his division and how Gin interacted with them. Some more development on his and Kira's relationship could be cool, maybe get into their duties in more detail. I would love more detail on less exposed divisions. It would also give us a complete perspective on how Aizen operated while laying low in Soul Society, maybe get into more detail on how he convinced Tosen to join up as well. That, and I wanna see how Gin fought when he was serious. I assume it was mostly sneak attacking enemies, but i would enjoy seeing him backed into a corner and seeing more of the genius he's bigged up as. Does he have Kido he uses? How would Gin creatively use his Shikai/Bankai? I'm really bummed he never got a full fight, and I think Gin fighting some of the pre arrancar espada to get them to join up with Aizen could be cool. Or maybe Gin acting as Aizen's assassin against members of Soul Society who are maybe digging a little too deep. There's a lot of options. I feel like filling in all the blanks around him would be satisfying. It would be badass if Gin showed up in the Hell Arc if that happens. Like you could probably argue he's a candidate for how Sayzelappro knew Captains were going to hell when they die considering Aizen, Gin, Tosen and Mayuari were the only captains he met personally. Gin was one of my characters even when he was out of focus, and some more focus would be really awesome in one form or another.
one of my fav aizen moments was when shunsui went down to talk to aizen thinking he only unlocked the seal to his mouth and aizen walks out saying "what's wrong? you've still got 2 keys haven't you?" so good, i love it!
Great list, I think most people wonder what Aizen's Bankai would be, and in the SAFWY novel Azashiro's Zanpakutou tells him that Aizen can only activate it when someone looks at his shikai, so we've probably seen his Bankai and then of achieving Immortality with the Hogyoku inside him I don't know if he can still use it or his maximum power is above that.
I would love a top 10 rukia moments on her birthday Love rukia My first exposure to bleach was a clip of her anihilating an arrancar Shes prob the reason i started bleach And then what do u know shes the first character you see I would also love 1 on byakuya Kisuke Kenpachi Yoruichi Maybe uryu I love this franchise Everytime i watched this series something fun was happening in my life and it just made me happy Along with the fact that i didnt get spoiled on anything or any of the characters made it so enjoyable Love this channel
A small moment I always liked was Aizen's conversation with Gin when Ichigo and co are breaking into Las Noches to rescue Orihime. Gin says something like how it's exciting watching those kids besting all the arrancar they're coming across, what could be more fun? Aizen agrees saying he is enjoying it and asking if that's strange, where Gin says he feels the same way. I always thought he genuinely meant it, adding a bit of a dimension to him besides being absolute evil. Also nice with the double meaning of Gin being against Aizen, so naturally he'd enjoy Aizen's plans being messed with. Number one couldn't have been anything but meme Aizen. It's easily my most memorable moment in Bleach.
Good question, I'm curious too. I think byakuya or shinji would make a good choice. Especially after all of byakuyas character development and shinji actually being a former leader of his own vizard band
I could be wrong on this but I think it was mentioned somewhere that it would be Byakuya. I can't remember exactly where I got that information from though so don't take it as official but personally I think out of the current captains in the Hell Chapter, Byakuya or Shinji would be the best fit for captain commander. Just my personal opinion though.
Bleach was my very first anime. I first watched it about 7-8 years ago, so certain parts of my memory of it are a bit fuzzy. But I will never forget Aizens betrayal to the soul society. Particularly when he suddenly stabs momo and reveals himself to hitsugaya and unohana. And then of course the famous sword blocking scene. Blocking Tensa Zangetsu with a single finger will always be one of the biggest flexes in all of anime
If I had to pick my favourite Aizen moment, one that I would argue deserves the top spot for Aizen villainy, it would be when he appeared Infront of Momo in the residences of Central 46 after tricking everyone into thinking he was dead. How he apologized for faking his death and causing her so much pain and how he had something he needed to do that required everyone think he got killed. Then without a moment's hesitation, he impales Momo through the chest with this look of disgust on his face, like he was insulted that she dared to touch him. Then when Hitsugaya appears and asks what he’s doing and why he had Gin distract them, he looks at him like he’s a foolish boy and tells him how distraction is one of the most common tactics to be used against your enemies and when Hitsugaya rushes past them to see Momo, as far as we know, dead on the floor, he says that he should have ground Momo to dust so that he wouldn’t have seen it, how he and Gin had been working together from the start and how he never considering anyone but Gin to be his right hand man, how he hadn’t set out to deceive them and how they were all just blind to his true nature, and finally how Momo was the dumbest of them all because her admiration for him made her exceptionally easy to control. His line of ‘Admiration is the furthest from comprehension’ still hits hard. He said all this, knowing how much Hitsugaya cares for Momo, just to mock him, to belittle him, and rile him up and when Hitsugaya unleashes his bankai to kill him, it’s clear he’s still just toying with him before he cuts him down with no effort. This scene displays it all: his intelligence, his scheming nature, his callous disregard for his comrades and lieutenant, how he’s not above grooming his underlings into loyal tools which he’ll discard the moment he no longer has a use for them and finally, his power as one-shooting a captain is no small feat.
How long have you been under the illusion that his birthday was May 29th? Yeah your number 1 is no surprise, so memeable and became an instant classic moment for the franchise All of his quotes and one liners really stick with me, Kubo's talent for poetry really shines through Aizen's character. "One speck or dust or two...", "The Eagle without wings..." etc I forgot you judge this stuff from the manga because the "Number One" ending sequence is my number one, mostly because of the editing and music and sound design from the anime. A small moment I liked is when he used shunpo to cut Renji but it sounded much differently to all other uses of Shunpo illustrating his mastery of all the Shinigami techniques. The fingerblock, the expodump and learning his plan and worldview but done as a timestaller, one shotted Kumomora with Kurohitsugi and how Ichigo was shocked at the gap in power, and then use of negacion to escape that had even Yamamoto throwing up his hands, the slickback hair and his departure with the garganta slamming shut and the fade to black was just masterfully done in the anime.
nice! my favorite moments is when he fights all the captains and destroyes them :D :D :D love the second part more the twist with momo hahahaha... yes that nr 1 is the best...........
At first I thought Aizen wasn't actually that great a planner and relied on super convoluted schemes where everything had to go exactly right, but upon rereading the Bleach manga, I now realize his true strength is his vast knowledge of Soul Society and his adaptability that comes with it. He has an overarching goal and makes some plans to achieve it, but when unexpected variables enter into play, he simply figures out what might be going on and adjusts his plan accordingly. This is the mark of a true master strategist.
His speech to Shinji in Turn Back the Pendulum and him having the last line in Bleach is in my Top 10. Idk, I just really like Aizen's monologues for some reason.
“That’s a good attitude to have group offensive, distractions, sneak attacks, decoys to battle me you’ll need to use all of those fighting strategies an more” Aizen will forever be the GOAT. Me quoting him when I playing a fighting games keep using the same attack do whatever you can if you truly are skilled won’t change the outcome.
When Aizen kills the cleaner in the dangai, it's an amazing moment not just because it was stated such a feat was supposedly impossible, but because you see Gin's surprise and horror as although he was still to betray Aizen, I think at that moment he realised that Aizen might be impossible to kill.
for me it's in the fake karakura arc when him and Yamamoto are talking down to eachother and he says "Cause you miss what I say" and yamos face is priceless
my personal favourite was when aizen touched ichigo's heart in fake karakura town, that situation telling the viewer that ichigo stood no chance at that point.. even after beating grimmjow and ulquiorra
You made me look up what January birthdays that the characters have and I happen to match to Coyote Stark, Espada #1. Crazy because we both have long term women, super uncaring and nonchalant about much things and I really liked him as a character really reminded me of myself I even used Dual guns in DCuniverse online a long time ago.. interesting
One of the best moment for me was his first interaction with Hitsugaya. When he was first revealed to be a Villain, Hitsugaya runs him through then his image dispears and he's just behind him already then his body just explodes in blood.
We reading bleach? He ultimately spoils Ywach’s plans with the same trick he killed the head captain with. We watching bleach? He defeats Bankai ichigo, and the studio’s theme song with one finger before dipping out to his new hideout in Hueco Mundo It was upon watching i truly appreciated what he had just done
Aizen immediately came across as a psychopath to me as soon as I saw him in the manga. He gives off that whole false platitudes type of vibe. His general aura that combines malaise with murderous malice makes his megalomaniacal mayhem more telegraphed. Even in the Soul Society arc, I immediately knew that he was evil.
May 29... Gemini. The sign of the zodiac with two faces... And the same date as the fall of Constantinople by the hands of Mehmed II, a 21 year old sultan that ended the over 100 years old Byzantine empire. His right handed man was born in September 10, Virgo... A cunning sign of the zodiac that always has a plan... Same date of the Treaty of Saint Germain that dissolved the Austrian-Hungarian empire. And Tousen's birthday is November 19, Scorpio... A sign that's well know for revenge. Yeah Soul Society really needs a Human Resources squad in the Gotei 13.
I just found it moving when Aizen saved Ichigo from getting stabbed and traumatized by Yhwach and thus saving the day. He may be a villain but that was an act of kindness.
