As someone who's collected sideshow status for three decades the "status" that come with special editions are plastic garbage. They cost about $3 to produce. I'm sure there's an exception but I can't think of one.
6:50 Kojima has am obsession with gold plated things... Even MGSV had gold plated bonus pre-order content if I remember correctly. (even Survive did too I think). The content for DS was useless. Unlike MGSV, you didn't get it early, and all it was was a gold variation of things you could already get.
The mini fridge is the best! Thematic and useful! The typewriter comes second. The panty shaped screen cleaner is the worst. While keychains or statues may be useless or weird, atleast they don't make you look like an absolute creep just for owning them the way this one does.
it really isnt that weird, a mini fridge isnt reall considered a household appliance, more of a luxary item since it isnt really needed and all ya know? i mean, its just really cool, and I dont think anyone thought it was weird at all actually, especially if you like the game series. Plus i mean, I dont think the resi evil one is weird either, its a good keyboard and its really neat to collect, everyone knows a type writter is connected to the series
i know that this is an old vid but i just want to stress the fact that using typewriters in this day and age isn't as odd as he thinks it is, in fact i work for a company that renews and refills ink cartridges, laser cartridges and yes, ribbon cardridges, in fact, ribbon cartridges far outsell the other 2, to those who don't know what ribbon cartridges are, they are the cartridges that go into typewriters.

I saw that Rage 2 collectors edition at my local gamestore for 34.99 complete. Just even looking at it prompted the owner to say "cmon I'll give you a screaming deal if you get it". I didn't know he meant both figuratively and literally. And no I didn't buy it.
honestly when i saw Ruckus´ head in the thumbnail i immediatelly got flashbacks of Stubbs the zombie collector´s edition with that head of Stubbs´,albeit his one is cute and not creepy,still its a colecotr´s edition with a head
I have one of the Halo 3: Legendary Editions'. Got it for $40, still sealed with the do not sell until/display sticker. At the time, the store had around 2 dozen of them. Apparently someone bought 20 of them for $400 total as they just wanted to get rid of them at that point.
I used to work for a Gamestop and we had a Rage 2 collectors edition in a plastic case and it used to scare so many kids. I and a coworker also found out I was not fully locked up. We could just easily lift the case. It got either stolen or most likely sold later on before I left.

I actually have a “Record of Agarest War Zero” special edition Tarot card deck on my coffee table’s bottom shelf literally 1.5 imperial feet away from me right now as I type this hehehe I had never even heard of the game series, and my grandma (who used to work at a place where they pressed disks for a ton of different games and movies) got just the boxed set of cards some how and knew I was into mysteries and gave it to me for Christmas 😁 surprisingly, the entire set and the special box are all completely void of any nudity or weird stuff. I had no idea that series was THAT kind of game!! 😂😂 much love and respect. I’ve been sharing you guyseseseses work around like wildfire. Honestly, I would've loved to have managed to pre-order the Cyberpunk 2077 Collector's Edition and as it's release gets closer, the FF7 Remake's Collector's Edition, but I wasn't all that interested in FF7 Remake until recently. I feel like I might own an odd Collector's Edition or two, but none of them would really fit on this kind of list.
I have the Far Cry 3 one. I actually use the survival kit bag for camping. But yea it was lame for a collectors edition and should have been sold as individual merch
