Fun fact the Xbox one has more backwards compatibility then the series x does as some games on disc don’t work on the series x, however you can buy the game on the Microsoft store. But won’t play from disc, you can however play some of those games from disc on the Xbox one. 007 quatuam solice Final fantasy gear of war Halo Dead or alive 4 I could name some other ones aswell but there are a few disc games you can’t play on series x that can be played on the Xbox One.
Okay, I gotta check that out now! LOL. I’ll have to turn on my XBONE & Series X and try the faves that I have that you mentioned. Very interesting. Wait… Are you saying Dead or Alive 4 won’t play on Series X? Because that’s a game I cut from the video and it does play from my disc.
Licenses are the reason why many can't be done, if it isn't game licenses, it's either music licenses or even, in games like Chronicles of Riddick, actor licenses
I recently bought Lego Indiana Jones 1 game from a friend for $10 a few weeks ago. It looks and plays better on my Xbox Series X. [Will definitely get Lego Indiana Jones 2 soon] I love how you ripped Bonnie Ross a new one, lol 😅. Timeshift is currently on my game search list. I pre-ordered and bought Call of Duty MW2 the day it was released and will definitely play it again soon.
HAHA! Bonnie Ross is a source of constant ribbing on my channel. You'll see! 😂 Timeshift is really good. But Singularity is even better- but you can't play Singularity on the Series X because it's not backwards compatible. Such a great game. Once you find the time manipulator in that game, oh boy! Call of Duty MW2 is my favorite campaign, by MW3 has that amazing survival mode that my sons always had me play with them. (I was terrible playing it then, but I am decent now. But good memories and plays great on X.) The Lego games are so very good. Lego Dimensions is really fun too. Thank you so much for your comment!
I absolutely agree. I enjoyed MW3’s campaign almost as much as MW2, but that survival mode is the best of its kind. I like Halo’s firefight and Gear’s horde mode, but survival mode is the tops! 😁😎
I bet the original Xbox games, Xbox360 games, and XboxOne games can go well with the Xbox Series X. Which is pretty cool. I need that game console this year's Cyber Monday. I'll go with Full Auto, Dirt 2, Need for Speed, Tekken, Bloody Roar, and Mega Man.
@ishpaltheretrogamer8714 I wish the Godzilla game for PS4 was a lot better of a game though. It’s mediocre at best. I did a review a couple of years ago. It looks and sounds good, but the premise and gameplay were so underwhelming or just plain dumb. Really sad actually.
We need eveb more Xbox 360 & Original Xbox games playable on Xbox Series X|S thru backwards-compatibility! Now that Microsoft ownes Activision Blizzard & Bethesda, there's still many games that are not playable on modern Xbox games, most of which deserve preserved forever. Some of the Crash Bandicoot & Spyro games, Alpha Protocol & WET, to name but a small few. Even Nintey Nine Nights & N32, which were published by MiceoSoft, would no doubt play better than ever on modern hardware. Also, these require no re-licensing of ip.
Yep! 😂 In part 1, Jay Malone had a game on PS3 too, but I wanted him to talk about that particular game (no spoilers). Every time I watch Johnny say “Aliens and Versus” I crack up! 😂😂😂
Unfortunately, at this time, there are no Need for Speed games that are backwards compatible for the series X according to the lists. Can you believe that? None! That’s crazy!
Thank you! Just showing the games to people that might want those on Series X, or maybe there’s people that don’t know these play on Series X. Either way, I’m having fun and giving viewers a good laugh when they need one. Have a great weekend! 😁😎
There are several lists online, however, the one that has the best information is this one IMO. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_backward-compatible_games_for_Xbox_One_and_Series_X/S
Dead Space 2, Darksiders, and Sniper Elite are great games. I own, but have yet to check out AvP and Split Second. Have you tried Singularity? I think you'll love it if you haven't played it. If you like Lord of the Rings, I highly recommend LEGO Lord of the Rings. I thought it was hilarious. It basically follows the movies. It's phenomenal. By the way, I got a couple tables for the CCAG like you recommended. My wife and I are the fat couple from CORGS lol. We'll see you there.
Yes! Singularity is one of my faves and unfortunately NOT backwards compatible. Bummer huh? I had it in a video here recently… can’t recall which. Oh, Cool! I can’t wait to see you at CCAG! I think you’ll do very well there.
@@GAMECLOSET I couldn't remember if you had covered it or not. I thought maybe, especially if you're talking about TimeShift. Everyone knows Singularity is better lol. Nut who are we kidding, both are better than most of the crap out there now. I'd rather play your list here than anything that came out this year. Stellar Blade was cool though.
@BigMcFlips never played stellar blade. Gotta check that one out. Yes, Singularity is far better than Timeshift, and I think since TS was a later title, they had the luxury of getting to know the console better. Such a good game.
According to the lists I looked at it is backwards compatible, however, you must have your console connected to the internet as the Series X doesn't play or rip the game from the discs. It downloads a copy of the game directly from Microsoft and your disc is used as a key to play the game. I hope that helps.
@@GAMECLOSET It’s connected to the internet. It says “There’s trouble getting this content” whenever I put the disc in. I tried multiple 360 games and it was the same result.
@@GAMECLOSET I actually just found a workaround. I put the disc in and went to the Microsoft store, searched for the game, and clicked ‘download to console’ for it to install.
Why would you want to play your Xbox 360 games on your Xbox one or Xbox series X the 360 console just reads the games no installation required unless it’s the digital you bought the Xbox one or series X to play the newest generation series X games not 360 games I save my storage for the newest releases and game pass games your just wasting storage that’s not free Xbox 360 is doesn’t require installing like Xbox one and if you install a 360 game onto the Xbox one series X it takes a lot of storage then it does on the Xbox 360 I play all my 360 games on the 360 console
Wow. That long run-on sentence with no punctuation was hard to read. LOL. "WHY?" you ask? There are many reasons why. And since you obviously can't fathom the reasons, here are a few: 1 - Many people don't have an Xbox 360 and since they are getting older and aren't being produced any longer, the supply is finite. 2 - All of the games run better on the faster hardware. However, some games were given what is called "FPS Boost" which literally makes those games run far better than they ever did on the 360. Like F.E.A.R. for example. It runs now at 60 FPS and has ZERO lag or stutter as it did on the 360. It looks like a new game- almost as if it had been remastered. 3 - Many game DO require installation on the 360 (do your homework). Ever see those discs that say "INSTALL DISC" in a 360 game case? Need I continue on that point? 4 - The Series X and Xbox One can use USB 3.0 and better EXTERNAL Hard Drives or SSDs. Therefore a cheap 2 TB drive can hold MANY Xbox 360 or even Original Xbox games without clogging up your internal storage on the Series X or Xbox One. This is what I do. 5 - Ready for this one. The concept is soooooo difficult to wrap one's head around. Ready? Ready? I will give you a second to prepare..... ... CONVENIENCE. Yeah, it's just plain convenient to be able to pop my disc in my Series X, and the game reads from my external SSD, plays better than on my Xbox 360 (Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has ZERO lag now OMG!!!) and my 360 gets to play only the games that my Series X can't play therefore prolonging the life of my very well taken-care-of, dust-free, has a dust cover, is cleaned inside and out Xbox 360. I love both of my 360s and they will be given love and care and I no longer play everything there either because my 2 TB SSD which has many 360 and OG Xbox games on it costs less than it would to replace ONE of my 360s. I am not afraid of them dying, and I do have a friend who repairs them (as can I) plus he owns a game store. Therefore I am not afraid of not being able to get one. But why not use the raw power of the Series X without clogging up its storage? That's what I do and so do thousands of others. If you want to do it your way- have at it. But my games will run circles around yours while your thermal paste keeps getting crustier in your 360. Better open her up and give her some new paste soon or RIP to that 360. Simply, that's why. Oh, one more thing: The following are called punctuation: ". period , comma ; semi-colon : colon - hyphen - em dash ' apostrophe " and finally a quotation mark" just in case you were curious. (MIC DROP)
@@GAMECLOSET you heard me storage isn’t free what do you play on the Xbox series X just Xbox 360 games not the new releases if that’s the case then it’s fine but a waste of money
@bryancook6345 hard drives die too. You think that 360 HDD is gonna last forever? Listen, we’ll agree to disagree. Is this generation of consoles awesome? The hardware is, but the game choices available - meh. I prefer Xbox 360 & PS3 and PS4 is awesome too. But your preference is noted, and I understand why. My 2TB SSD was only about $80. It sits in the side of my series x and I’m filling it up. I have an M.2 in my PS5, and I have 3 TB at my disposal and I’m filling it with my PS4 & PS5 games- tons of them and I have lots of room left. But you’re right, those things do cost money. Some people are more frugal , some are spend thrifts and me, I’m moderate devise I’ll save, but when I can snag a real, real, real good deal, I do. But I wait like a hawk to get those deals. Haha! Anyway, you have a great rest of your weekend! 😁😎 Thanks for the comments and the small sparring session. I appreciate ya!
Its great in theory, but severely flawed. While original Xbox games work with minimal issues, Xbox 360 games require you to log in EVERY time. So anytime you want to play a 360 game, you have to go create an app password to log in to you 360 profile. So after a few times, its pretty annoying and not worth the effort.
While I agree the login is tedious, I’ve had no problems logging in and my password is saved. On the same note, something happened a couple nights ago that never happened. Last time I played Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on my Xbox 360 in my living room was a couple weeks ago. When I went to play R6V2 on Series X three nights ago, it stated: You played on another console, do you want to download the progress from the other console? I thought that was very cool. But yes, logging in on Xbox 360, Xbox One and Series is an absolute mess.
So the xbox 360 games that is not playable on xbox series x works fine on xbox 360? I mean i just bought some xbox 360 cd and they are not playable on series x so does they will work fine on xbox 360?
Xbox 360 games will always work just fine on 360, of course. Not all games for 360 and original xbox are backwards compatible on Series X. Do a google search and you’ll find a list.
The only one I want compatible is the wolverine origins X-Men uncaged edition. That's it. That's the only one I want compatible to play on the Xbox x and I'll buy it
There was a rumor floating around a month or so back that Xbox was going to make more games backwards compatible. Rumors though… aren’t with y the whispers they are carried on. And Wolverine would be a MAGNIFICENT add for series x! Such a great title! I’ll keep my fingers for both of us!
My wife has played ALL of them. The Lego Dimensions is so good too! I have joined her playing then sometimes. She got me into them. Great games. I bet my little girl will love them.
I don't think I knew Timeshift was a thing! The concept seems pretty awesome. Added to my list to keep an eye out for! And Midway Arcade Origins looks amazing. Well, anything with any version of Tapper on it is an instant win in my book.
I wish we had more time to hang out at CORGS! It was great seeing you for the two minutes I saw you! 😁 TimeShift is good, but Singularity is even better!!! But that’s not backwards compatible. Bummer!
@@GAMECLOSET It was good to see you, even if only briefly! Any time I stopped over to your area you were away or engaged in something awesome. Your videos will just have to tide me over until the next Con! 😏
game closet smashing channel 👍 I'm over here in Devon UK I've just splashed out on a brand new series X I've got a 360 they are both my main systems i use they work together i do own OG Xbox they are the classiest systems of the gaming world
Excellent! I love our UK friends. I occasionally guest on the channels Type40 and The Specebook- both run by Mr Dan Hadley in Birmingham. (They call me their honorary British guest 💜.) I have two videos featuring original XBOX games on Series X and the two so far featuring Xbox 360 games on Series X. If you’re so inclined, have a look at those as well. I love my Series X as well. I just wish Microsoft did a better job managing the direction of Xbox. I’m happy to have you aboard and thank you for the wonderful comment! 😁😎
You’re most welcome! Thank you for watching! After watching Part 1, there’s also a couple of videos featuring Original Xbox games that are also playable on the Series X if you are interested. Thanks again! 😎😁
