Gamestop made the Pro Membership worthless. I went from spending around $1500 in there a year to nothing at all because of that. The irony is I never wanted Pro. They pushed it, so i eventually joined. I really liked the perks. Then, it became useless. They stopped having any older games and filled half the store with Funko, Branded Merch, and overpriced PC accessories.
My wife and I said the exact same thing and even made the same point about the toys and junk. The bought Thinkgeek and basically ran it into the ground too. The 10% discount was great with pro because it applied to all used items except consoles. Then once that was gone they game the paltry $5 a month coupon. BAH! That’s B.S. Most stores have nothing in them. There’s a GameStop store that’s 30 minutes away and they have a huge store with tons of games, accessories and shirts. GREAT store! But the GameStop that’s about 4 minutes from my home (the one I worked at for 3 years) is a desolate dump now. I don’t know how they’re still in business and the murder of a formerly great magazine isn’t going to save them any money. Thank you for the comment!!!

@RadBashGaming yeah absolutely. My other channel on hiatus and relaunching soon: Doctor Scott’s Video Vault, we usually watched movies on our own then talked about them on the livestream. But it was a lot of work to put together every two weeks and sometimes we couldn’t get our full panel together and a guest. So, I’m making it even more relaxed and going to do that live (with format change) 1 time a month; then have an occasional actual video. That’s totally the super-hobby channel though. I took all the old videos down too. The way I made the thumbnails they looked great!!! But some people got pissed cuz they thought it was the real movie, not people talking about a movie. Ugh.
@GAMECLOSET dude I so get that, I was talking with the srf guys today about us doing a live once a month cause we keep saying we should...then we realized why we don't lmao everyone schedules are sooooooo different. I took abunch of my old podcasts down so I get you man they just weren't performing well like at all but I think this new change will work for you I look forward to seeing new movie stuff as I am not only a huge gamer but also a big movie addict 🤣

Great list, you definitely know your stuff! Some key ones I would add would be: Keystone Kapers, Pressure Cooker and Starmaster from Activision Phoenix, Joust and Solaris from Atari Montezuma's Revenge from Parker Brorthers and was Adventure really not on this list or did I just miss it somehow? On to your next 40 and I'll see how many of these showed up on that one!
Nope, no Adventure. I really despise that game. I know I am in the minority, but when I really look at the game on the whole without nostalgic eyes, to me, the game is terrible. I was going to put Pressure cooker in the 40 video, but honestly, as cool as the game looks and the concept is, I just can't figure not out! LOL. Makes me feel like an idiot. Ofcourse it's slow if you didn't even bother to unlock upgrades for your jet. And I agree with fighting the ai is extremely dull, almost like they forgot to program them right. But you skipped talking about the experience playing it with other people, doing time attack and playing the mini games. Why make a review of a game that you clearly had no intention in trying to learn?
Firstly, it was my tenth video ever from almost 3 years ago. I may not have been as thorough (then) as a fanboy of the game would be, but considering it’s supposed to be a game about SPEED- it should convey that visually regardless of upgrades. It failed in this aspect. Fanboy aspects aside, maybe I could have been a bit more in-depth with the game… maybe. But I stand by the fact that the game is horribly slow looking. Idea! Since you’re so well versed with this game… Start your own channel and this can be your first review.
I bet the original Xbox games, Xbox360 games, and XboxOne games can go well with the Xbox Series X. Which is pretty cool. I need that game console this year's Cyber Monday. I'll go with Full Auto, Dirt 2, Need for Speed, Tekken, Bloody Roar, and Mega Man.
@ishpaltheretrogamer8714 I wish the Godzilla game for PS4 was a lot better of a game though. It’s mediocre at best. I did a review a couple of years ago. It looks and sounds good, but the premise and gameplay were so underwhelming or just plain dumb. Really sad actually.
Buy it, dude! It’s really cheap. Funny thing was that when they had that sale, I bought it digitally too. I said why not? 🤷 I think it was .59 cents digital. But physical I think you’ll play less than $10. I was going to play longer, but I was really tired. Working on Knight Rider is a real project.

Yes, it went back down. The extreme hype caused it to skyrocket overnight when it was removed from the online stores. Then about three months later it began to normalize again. This video was almost six months ago too. I saw it here in the USA, roughly a month ago for $30 (still a bit overpriced). But £20 is approximately $25 US, So you got it for a normal price. Have you played through it yet?
@@GAMECLOSET not beaten it but so far it's pretty good other than clunky cover and getting on and off a turret controls, I'm surprised it went down that much within about 6 months though
@boq780_2.0 I was surprised too. However, there are those out there so trying to grab a few bucks by keeping the price inflated. They o end up keeping their copies. 😂
I got the retron 77 last year and have slowly been adding games to the collection. I haven't played any 7800 games so this was cool to watch and see the graphic differences!
@RadBashGaming back in the day, I had about 33 of them. Now I have about 15, after beginning the collection again. Xenophobe is a great deal of fun. That and Dig Dug were my faves. I never liked Pole Position II though. I felt it was boring as all get-out.

@RadBashGaming yeah, Pole Position II was the pack-in game with 7800. Can’t swing a dead cat without hitting PP2. 😁🐕 But I’m not a “full set“ kinda guy, but since it’s a small collection… why not? Yeah, most are fairly cheap, but there’s a few that are $100+, line Activision’s Commando. It’s better than the 2600 port, of course, but it still sucks to me. 😎😂 I’ll get that one last.
You don't need a two button controller to play Xevious. Toggle the difficulty settings, and you can fire both weapons simultaneously just by holding down one button.
Its great in theory, but severely flawed. While original Xbox games work with minimal issues, Xbox 360 games require you to log in EVERY time. So anytime you want to play a 360 game, you have to go create an app password to log in to you 360 profile. So after a few times, its pretty annoying and not worth the effort.
While I agree the login is tedious, I’ve had no problems logging in and my password is saved. On the same note, something happened a couple nights ago that never happened. Last time I played Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on my Xbox 360 in my living room was a couple weeks ago. When I went to play R6V2 on Series X three nights ago, it stated: You played on another console, do you want to download the progress from the other console? I thought that was very cool. But yes, logging in on Xbox 360, Xbox One and Series is an absolute mess.
The 2023 homebrew release of Mario Bros absolutely makes the original release look like a 2600 version. Get the homebrew version and enjoy faithful arcade action on your 7800. You’re welcome 🎉

Great list! Freeway was awesome as a kid, and the cooperative/dual play is a nice touch. Oh, the prototype of the game used a person, and guess what it looks like when hit? I got Solaris in 1987 and really stretched the hardware to a very respectable level. So much with so little, though some games did include additional RAM on-chip... Now Mangia... a creative classic, but it ain't $7.49, LOL.

Only recently just got into the 7800 (and Atari in general). Got 6 games right now: Pole Position II, Galaga, F18 Hornet, and the recent re-releases of Food Fight, Fatal Run, and Ninja Golf.
This would be the only Atari system I’d play, Choplifter is a favorite series for me! Xenophobe is better on the Lynx but that’s me, pretty solid list of games my friend….nice vid 😎

The one glaring omission from this list is Food Fight. It is another arcade port by GCC, who created the arcade version. In many 7800 players' opinions, this is one of the top games produced for it.
Absolutely! However, at the time of the making of this video, I cut three other really good ones for time and Food Fight was one of them. Besides, one dozen seemed like a good place to stop versus fifteen haha! I may be making another video later on with Food Fight in it, of course. 😁
If you can find it, give Donkey Kong PK a go. It's an enhanced version of Donkey Kong with POKEY sound and challenge closer to the arcade original. It gives the NES and Colecovision ports a run for their money. I still hope that DKJr gets the same treatment at some point.
I find DK on 7800 to be decent graphically, sound is lacking, of course, but DK Jr I feel is terrible by comparison to the Colecovision. I’ll have a look for DK PK. Thanks!
You can use two joysticks with the Robotron port; one for movement and one for shooting, replicating the arcade layout. Plus, there's a twin-stick arcade controller from Edladdin Controllers that is made especially for this game.
Yep, someone mentioned it already, but a friend of the channel, BD Retromods, also has options for this too. His 7800 gamepads are nice, but he has a dual stick arcade controller that I’ve been considering. 🤩😁😎
Good choices all around for the $. Also, you actually can play Robotron 2084 twin stick if you have 2 joysticks or one of the 3rd party twin stick setups hooked up.
BD Retromods makes a twin stick controller like that. That would be sooooooo cool. I may have to talk to him and get one. I’m going to buy his 7800 NES-style 7800 pad. It’s similar to the Australian one. I borrowed the 7800 controller I used for this video from a friend. I JUST sold my 7800 as with having the 2600+ I kinda didn’t need it anymore. Yep. For sure. I’m not a Death Stranding fan… not my kind of game, but I absolutely agree. MGS is (or was) one of my favorite series. Aw man, you missed an opportunity! In Alien you said that it's not as good as Ripley's flamethrower, but the flamethrower is in the game! It makes the Aliens switch directions. :)
The only one I want compatible is the wolverine origins X-Men uncaged edition. That's it. That's the only one I want compatible to play on the Xbox x and I'll buy it
There was a rumor floating around a month or so back that Xbox was going to make more games backwards compatible. Rumors though… aren’t with y the whispers they are carried on. And Wolverine would be a MAGNIFICENT add for series x! Such a great title! I’ll keep my fingers for both of us!
