10 Most Forgettable Star Trek: Voyager Episodes

I remember the Alice episode fondly, because it's such an obvious love letter to Stephen King's Christine.

Nightingale, Random Thoughts, Muse, Non-Sequitur, Gravity and Unforgettable are all personal favourites of mine. I will never forgive TrekCulture for this most heinous list!

Speaking as someone who mostly watched Voyager only casually during its original run, I found Muse to be one of the most memorable episodes. In particular I still think back to the description of Tuvok's character (and Vulcan stoicism in general) anytime people discuss Vulcan emotions.

I really loved Muse. While I agree with most of the episodes on this list, it was good to see Tony Amendola cross over from Stargate to have a Star Trek guest appearance. Not to mention, it has a lot of stakes showing how B'Ellana handles a prime Directive nightmare after a few seasons of character development since the season 2 episode "Prototype." It had shown how much she has grown since then.

Wow, this was a list of many of my favorite Voyager episodes. I feel like there were way more forgettable ones!

Well, they can't all be gems, I guess... Still my favourite ST series.

I've got this theory about 'Unforgettable' is that it's a cynical meta-commentary on the existence of romance episodes in Star Trek. Those of us watching the episode are only along for the ride, we are intellectually aware that the love is going nowhere, and the in-universe characters largely forget about the person they loved. Plus it was one of the *very* few times when Neelix was not a complete shitehead; he gave Chakotay some really good advice in a way that I wished had been the ground state for the character.

One does simply put Harry Him in the thumbnail of a forgettable episode, cause 2x05 "Non Sequitur" was quite enjoyable ☺

Random thoughts and natural law are two one episodes I regularly go back to. And while I'm not a fan, Gravity is memorable with Lori Petty in it! Definitely not forgettable!

Non Sequitur is actually one of my favorite episodes of season 2. I saw it when it first aired, and many times afterwards. It's one of the better Harry Kim episodes.

I remember fondly Unforgettable. Sure it doesn't change anything (does any bottle ship actually do?) but its story is still a tragic loss.

Strangely, since Voyager was important to me growing up, I remembered every one of these episodes just by the title.

You know, I genuinely had forgotten about Nightingale, one of those that I guess never really stuck in my mind, I must have fallen asleep during that one... :P

Strange, I remember "Muse" as one of the better episodes and had completely forgotten "Live Fast and Prosper" until it was mentioned here.

Weirdly, I still think about "Random Thoughts" and "Emanations' episodes now and then, so not forgettable for me :)

Friendship 1, with the unceremonious end of Joe Kerry, not seen for several seasons, was a forgettable slap in the face.

Just because they're not the greatest, it's a bit unfair to call them forgettable. Like that episode with... erm... And that one with what's-her-name. Oh, and that one with Picard... or maybe... Archer?

As this was my Star Trek as a mid to late 90s star trek kid, I love all these episodes and thanks to Paramount + and Pluto tv, I've seen all these episodes multiple times and therefore will never forget them.

I disagree about much of this. Gravity is a fan favorite of actual fans. Season seven is full of entirely too many episodes about The Doctor and the season 7 episode Shattered, a Chakotay episode considered the best in the final season besides endgame. Bride of Chaotica is a HUGE fan favorite. I agree about half of these, like Alice is a stinker

"Muse" was funny in that they included a plot twist that would have been pretty effective in the actual universe! Seven of Nine actually being the Borg Queen would have been great!

Wow. This is the first time I disagreed with a whole list. I didn't remember titles-because I'm bad at that with all TV series-but I remembered all of these episodes and enjoyed almost of all of them.

I found "Unforgettable" very memorable. One of my faves. There was a season 4 episode - Nemesis (I had to look it up) which would have been completely forgotten by me were it not for the silly language used by the aliens Chakotay was stuck with ("As long as you're with us, you do my tellings. Fathom?")

Janeway: I don't remember these missions. Tuvok: I surmise your memories have been tampered with, Captain.

I loved Alice. As others have stated, it's very "Stephen King." I also enjoyed "Random Thoughts." It reminded me of "Tek War", written by William Shatner.

Random Thoughts is one of the most memorable episodes in all of Star Trek, IMHO.

Ironically, several of these "most forgettable" episodes are, for me, some of the MOST memorable. I still need to finish watching the series, though... I had never seen it before and I'm only towards the end of Season 5.

Regardless of what you think of Natural Law, if we get ST:Legacy, I expect that blanket to be in Seven's quarters.

Now it's only fair that you do this for every trek series.

"Sacred Ground" S03E07 should have been high on this list because I couldn't recall this episode before the list passed without it. I had to look this up because I only had a vague memory of it which aired between two episodes called "Remember" (oh the irony) and "Futures End part 1". I knew from the thumbnail that "Unforgettable" would be number one. Other episodes I can't remember and might have been better fit on the list include "Projections" S02E03 The Doc plays a holo novel that is never referred to again, "Resistance' S02E12 Voyager crew gets way too involved in a siege, "The Chute" S03E03 Tom and Harry imprisoned where the only way in is a chute, "Once upon a Time" S05E05 Naomi plays a holo novel (main storyline) while her mom is in trouble on an away mission, "11;59" S05E23 Y2K episode about a Janway ancestor, "Barge of the Dead" S06E03 B'Elannas mothers place in the Klingon afterlife becomes an issue.

If Nightingale was a season 5 episode that lead to character development it might have been an A tier episode. Funny enough one of the most forgettable Voyage episodes imo is Unforgettable.

I liked Non Sequeter... I still wonder what the hell happened with Kim's fiancé. Elogium is forgettable though. While threshold was fun (with hindsight it could have been used as a Final to get the crew home, minus the de-evolution part). I liked unforgettable (the ending sucked) and Gravity too; any Captain Proton episode is a downer for me.

The only thing I remember about "Bride of Chaotica" is that it's in a different style. But most of this episodes I remember quite well, especially the ones with Harry Kim.

Nightingale is memorable for me because it assassinated two characters: 1. When Harry mentioned to Janeway that he was still an ensign after 7 years, she was accusing and derisive. The warm and compassionate captain I knew did not treat people like that. 2. Harry, despite knowing only exemplary command chops from Janeway, Tuvok, and Chakotay, forgot everything they did. It's also memorable because the showrunners actively rubbed the viewer's noses in the fact that no matter how much they complained, Harry was staying an ensign, and if they didn't like it, they could piss off. Keeping Harry at ensign was obviously a big deal to them, far beyond a stupid and unfunny joke.

I loved "Muse".

I found Alice and Alter Ego interesting. They both had the guest actress with and without heavy makeup prosthetics. It reminds me of ST main characters in alien disguises.

Star Trek Voyager is the best to watch for a campy good romp. I will champion Voyager. (DS9 has the best story and characters nut I love my Voyager. Flaws and all.) And I remember every single one of these, ty. lol

ABSOLUTELY! I agree on every single one. A lot of these I skip when rewatching. HOnestly when you've seen some of these three times, You're done.

Non Sequitur is one of my favorites!

"Gravity" is actually a personal favorite of mine. Maybe it helps that I saw it out of sequence? Also, I found Laurie Petty a breath of fresh air.

I knew it was coming JUST so you could make fun of the title. I do remember 'Emanations', though, because at the time it struck me as a waste of an idea with so much potential.

I remembered and really liked every one of these episodes, although I've always thought Voyager was the best series of that era, I love every star trek series old and new but of all the 24th century shows, I realize I am in the minority when I say Voyager was my favorite followed by DS9 but The Next Generation is also very close to my heart as it was the first of Star Trek I've ever seen as I watched it on Television from day one but even still I very fondly remember every Voyager and DS9 episodes from every season whereas there are quite a bit more episodes from TNG that I have forgotten way more than the others and I tend to re-watch Voyager and DS9 much more than any other Star Trek shows from the late 80s through the 90s one into the early 2000s and I also loved every episode of Enterprise as well more than TNG believe it or not but that being said I do like and enjoy all of Star Trek old and new and really haven't seen any episodes or movies that I didn't like with Star Trek 5 at the bottom of my best of list but even with that movie at the bottom I still did enjoy it just not as much as any of the others. I guess I am just a very devoted fan of the franchise as a whole, even still my most favorite Sci-Fi show is still Stargate SG-1 but love the videos, I don't leave comments often because I tend to ramble whe I do but anyway. Keep the fantastic videos coming

Unforgettable is one of my favorite episodes. I rewatch it every few years.

Ninety percent of Voyagers episodes end with no consequences. No matter how much damage the ship takes or how many crew members are lost, the next episode begins with everything fine.

Half on your list are personal favorites. Ensign Kim, Paris, and Chakotay were favorite characters. I normally favor the episodes that go against the grain of the whole. "Alice", "Gravity", and "Alter Ego" were enjoyable because of the common thread of obsession and love. "Nightengale" was Kim's first command in spite of his errors in judgement. He was a trusting soul but sometimes it's a fault, especially when in a leadership role.

Whenever I stream Voyager, I always forget the episode called The Chute exists xD and I still can’t summarized it to this day if someone asked me to.

I remember all the episodes on this list.

I also forgot about "Unforgettable". The later Chakotay seasons should've been known as "The times Robert Beltran tried to get fired from the show by demanding a huge salary increase, but was pissed when he got the raise and wound up stuck on the show" 😂.

Actually, unforgettable is one of the most memorable voyager episodes for me. I remember it as being Bittersweet . The rediscovery of lost love. His doomed attempt to not lose love again. The writing down of the story on paper, so the memory of that love will never fade. Yes, I remember very well

So sad to see Gravity on this list! Always loved it… it’s atmospheric, has a cool sci-fi concept and I absolutely love Lori Petty’s performance. Unforgettable, on the other hand, is right where it needs to be…possibly the only other episode I like less is The Fight, buts it’s a close toss-up.

"Muse" had John Schuck (the Klingon Ambassador from Star Trek IV and Vi, as well as Draal on Babylon 5) and Tony Amendola (Master Bra'Tac from Stargate SG-1), both amazing actors, and squandered them!

I actually think about Non Sequitur a lot. I think I watched it a lot because it just happened to always be the episode that was on when I went to watch an episode of Voyager.

I like forgettable episodes! When I do a rewatch, it's like watching a new episode 😜

So basically, "10 Star Trek: Voyager Episodes". I've seen the entire run at least three times and I could tell you the synopsis of maybe three episodes. And I'm not so sure about the third.

Harry Kim is my favorite character so I enjoyed every time he was the focus.

All voyager episodes were better than every discovery episode.

I remember Gravity well, but only because Lori Petty was Tank Girl in the cult classic movie of the same name.

I liked Random thoughts in the beginning. But when it became a Tuvok story, it lost me

I question the memory of the people who wrote this because 3 episodes in I'd say they were all pretty memorable.

Love you folks, but who got the short stick to go thru 7 years of episodes to find the "most forgettable." I'm watching to see if I remember them after seeing every episode 3x over the many years. Easy, every episode with "Captain Proton"/"Chaotica" or the Doctor's singing/romance.

"Muse" had a chance to be the "ember Island players" of late season Voyager- it was right on the cusp of being incredibly funny and self-aware but I feel like they didn't know how to write an ending to the episode and it sputtered out. Great setup, but such a disappointment
