My favorite story is someone saying Roberto Duran had the most stone face appearance at a promo event, Duran responded: "It was all in English, I couldn't understand, and it was pissing me off." I think this happens more often than not.
It just made sense, when his nickname was "Stone Hands", that he would be also called "Stone Face". And the quote implies he was bothered by not understanding why. Alex definitely knows what we all mean with 🗿 and he embraces being stone faced and handed.
It was for his first fight with the eternally overrated Leonard wasn't it? He said something to that extent about what people wrote about him in the media and such also.
@@QenaitheCustodianGuard Both equal to the same thing in Spanish: "Manos de Piedra". "Hands of Stone" is a literal translation, "Stone Hands" is just to accommodate with "Stone Face".
I'll always remember the line said about Cro Cop and Wanderlei Silva during their stare down right before the fight. "Silva looks like he's about to murder someone...Cro Cop looks like he already did."
I wish. I'm far too emotional. I see red too easily. Not in a "I see red and fuck shit up" kinda way, but "I see red and my logic and decision-making disappear resulting in me making an ass of myself". People who have a handle on their emotions are admirable.
Moose is one of the most highly underrated combat sport fighters in recent history. Has taken so many big name scalps in MMA, along with two huge K-1 wins, he doesn’t get discussed enough for how spectacular he has been.
@@DReynolds_OG so that's an excuse not to grow it own brain? How did u survive this long with out having ur own thoughts. U know wat just go to school n get a sociology degree n call it a life
@@DReynolds_OG n I'm pretty sure that u don't remember or didn't watch pride fc the pre fight of crocops first pride fight or u wouldn't need a hack comic shill to give u ur thoughts on crocop , do u remember wat micro was doing in the locker room before his fight n just outta curiosity where did u train n wen n where did u go to school just wondering cuz most ppl that repeat joe Rogan to me especially friends r dumber than a steal post
Before watching, Fedor has to be #1. That guy seemed almost asleep right up until he brutalized his opponents like they were a small Japanese village and he was Godzilla.
That top 4 is right. Maybe I would've done cro-cop as 2 but I may be biased. All those guys have boundless amounts of respect from me because of how they carry themselves
He was never a top tier fighter but Dennis Siver was always very stoic. I loved how when he fought Conor, no matter how much shit Conor talked Dennis didn't react at all. When even Conor can't shake you, that's pretty stone-faced as it gets
Oleg Taktarov was in the movie Predators and during a scene he was accidentally hit in the head by some equipment and it caused a cut to his head but he insisted on continuing filming because it made the fight more realistic
Love how you guys shout out the editors and creators of each video, even if they aren’t the mouthpiece/personality behind the presentation of the final product. Also giving love to the fans through shout outs on video is amazing, love you guys and everything you do!!!
I can't remember exactly what he said, but Fedor said something like "I wish him luck" or "i wish him well" referring to Mark Hunt before the fight. Then during the fight, when he was close to being submitted, there was no panic, no clock watching, he just looked at as his own arm like "arm okay, no tap needed" and waited on his move. After the fight, 1 arm up, 360 spin, and done. This fight was my favorite fight of his for just how unfazed he was about everything.
This channel is amazing, everytime i notice something new, like how for wvery frame/clip/picture, there is always the source in the video itself, this channel deserves it success, been a fan sonce the start and seems like always will be❤
One of the most stoics I've ever seen is Alessio Sakara. The guy, winning or losing, never flinched. The max I've seen from him was a little dance and a scream once to get the crowd excited. True roman warrior.
Stipe is one of my favorite fighters. I like the respectful guys. Poirier, Stipe, Fedor, Robbie Lawler, Zhang Weilli, all those fighters who are positive and respectful.
This channel convinced me to buy the Legends Edition of UFC 5 this past Saturday. Not concerned about reviews, but i am concerned for my CPU opponents. 🙌🏼💯🤙🏼❤️🤓😋
I met Cub Swanson right after he knocked out Ross Pearson he was in the crowd and he was more than happy to take a picture so I can see how hes on here
Imo the most stone cold fighter is robbie lawler, like when he had that bald head and in his eyes you see absolute hell, and you know blood will be spilled all over the octagon Funniest thing, is that he's probably one of the nicest outside the cage and a total class act
How about a top 10 most unforgettable in ring sound b things that a fighter has said during the fight. Max Holloway vs Calvin kattar Anthony Smith vs Glover texeria Kevin Holland vs. Jacare Souza those type of moments
The Red king always gets me in his Halloween costume. Btw I never was a huge Gegard Mousasi fan but imo he is by far one of the best mma figters ever...
The only moment I truely seen Fedor emotions when he was yelling backstage at his brother against Cro Cop on a small tv because he seemed displeased at what his brother was handling it.
Maybe Alex is more stoic than Mirko but Mirko is way more scary and intimidating than him. He has that stare of a person that make mafia boss and contract killers poop their pants all over.
What? You must be smoking and I need that. Mafia bosses? What happened to guns? Who is playing fight in the street with Mafia bosses? Y’all just talk. Probably have an idea of what fear is but never really witnessed it. Lmao. Scare mafia bosses with a stare. You’re in fantasy land
I’d add Robbie Lawler to this list. He does occasionally smile and he got emotional at the end of his last fight, but other than that he’s pretty stoic all around and all the time
9:57 idk what you are talking about here brother, i can tell by looking at this man that he can scrap. if you watch the video you can tell that he has been in a few fights in his life but has reached the level of maturity that comes from fatherhood, i mean just look at his neck.
Honorable mention: Matt "The Immortal" Brown. He might always appear angry, RBF, whatever, but the dude is one of the most chill killers I have ever seen. Put him in the next one! Oh and Bigfoot Silva, I don't know if I have ever seen that guy emote.
I understand why people think Sean doesn't have a chance v Izzy, but people said the same shit about him vs Abus. Sean destroyed him after getting one of the worst eye-pokes I've ever seen. I still think Izzy takes it but only because Sean doesn't have the same KO power. Sean needs to take his time and look for opportunities to close the distance instead of trying to force it like Sterling did w/ O'Malley.
Bro, nobody said Abus is destroying Strickland except for maybe some Dagestani fanboys. Stop making a false narrative! Plus I've never been more confident in a male title fight than this. Izzy by KO or 50-45 at least
Dog I know you want D'Sean to win bad and so do I but listen: its not going to happen. The second Izzy gets in trouble he wil start running or waiting to counter like he did with Romero. Its not going to happen. Sean will win the first. Izzy will win 2,3,4 and 5.
@@RamboTimlove how you talk about waiting to counter like it isn't a valid strategy. And "running"??? If Strickland can't chase down a fleeing opponent who's locked in an enclosed space with him and beat his ass, that's sad Problem is that when Izzy isn't "running" he's still a way better fighter than Sean. And you're mad about that for some reason
@@RamboTimthe Gastelum and Costa fights say otherwise at minimum. Izzy is incredibly high level as a counter striker. And yeah the betting odds favored Sean to Abus. He should have had a few fights before being pushed to the top. Started strong and gassed. Imavov another middleweight fighter who could use some more later round experiences. Either way, looking forward to this one. Hopefully it won’t be like the Romero - Adesanya or Ngnannou - Lewis fights. 😉
