@@tomk4092 An Extended extended. Because mine went out and i took it to BMW with list of errors and issues, and when i got it back and the extended went out.... well starter went out, all the handle touch features and remote unlock spotty... lollllll i sweasr they programmed it to fail.
I know it’s late but I just saw this video, I’m 18 and I recently got a 2004 325i. Thank you for this, it’s better to spend the $300-$400 on these tools than to spend the thousands of dollars at a mechanic. Now I can keep my car and do what I need using these tools, thanks again. Sir you’re absolutely right, if one wants to continue driving a BMW out of warranty, you must wrench on it yourself, otherwise you’ll go BROKE. BMW dealerships want a $1000 plus anytime they do anything other than an oil change!
Thank you for this. My Amazon list is pending. I did manage to get an order out for the Autel AP200 as it will work on my 05 dodge sprinter, 15 mitsubishi mirage and per your key video hopefully on my wife's 18 mini countryman. Once again thank you and you got a new subscriber.
Thanks for the video.. Add a brake tool to that list to compress cylinder on each brake... A turkey baster to suck out a bit of brake fluid after pad changes.. A magnetic stick to recover dropped bolts / screws... Add a trim tool set for getting off trim and plastics on the interior.. Have you purchased any special pucks for lifting the vehicle? There are pucks that fit into the BMW jack points as well as flat round ones for the underbody lift points... I'm going to look into getting these...
Very good suggestions! I have a c-clamp for the brakes and will add the other tools to my set for sure. I’m not really sure why people are getting the pucks, the Jack has a rubber part that fits on the plastic lifting point under the car. Thanks for watching!
@@SimpleCarGuy I'm looking at getting pucks that fit into the rectangular slots on each side... I can get my low profile trolley jack under the central rear jacking point but the central front jacking point under the engine is impossibly low to access. 🤔
@@newbeginnings8566 So, I've looked into these pucks and it looks like you only need them if the previous owner messed up the jack pads. Luckily mine are all still there. As far as jacks, even though I have the long jack it just does not reach the front central jacking point on the 550i, but works beautifully on the Z4.
Like I was trying to get my brake sensor light off and I did something in the secret menu and now my Bluetooth ain't working and I also can't get my phone to connect to the car
My small drills are Makita, but they don't sell those anymore. I bought them about 10 years ago. The impact wrench is DeWalt is this one: amzn.to/2Nc2gqw
