Which of these games were your FAVORITE and what eShop Games should i review next?! HUGE SALE at Satisfye! Use code BEATEMUPS5 for 5% off your purchase ➤ bit.ly/satisfye-wood
Hey wood youve been my favirote youtuber since I found out about the switch 4 years now but up until now my family couldnt get a switch and I found out a few days ago they are buying me one for my b-day thanks for being such a good youtuber!
For Episode 30 you should do a "Best of the best eshop games". Essentially, you take 1 or more games from all your previous episodes and compile a list of the best ones.
I can’t recommend Baba is You enough. I think it is legitimately the best game you haven’t talked about in one of these videos yet. You move around the screen pushing words around to create a win condition for yourself to move to the next level. It is so much more fun and addicting than I’m probably making it sound.
The Klonoa collection is another one worth buying, imo. It's $40 and digital only (in the US), but it's well worth it if you like puzzle platformers and is very replayable.
Little Noah is actually incredible and people should play it. I couldn't have been more surprised by how good it is. A few of my friends and I got absolutely obsessed with it for a few weeks
I played the Little Noah phone game back in the day when I was living in Japan and was sad they discontinued it so I bought the new game as soon as it was announced. It's insanely good and addictive. The characters are my favourite part.
@@LaNoir. Just a very similar art style. When it was revealed in the recent Direct, I actually thought it was a Bravely Default spin-off. Glad I’m not the only one to notice.
@@LaNoir. you do know a lot of artists in Japan can adapt one's designs into their own, right? a lot of manga and anime have similar character designs because some are easy to repro it's not officially theft if it's everyone is doing it lol
@@martinde-serres8724 Wow what you say I can take Pokémon's assets and get away with it!? No, styles are protected as well as character designs, just look up Edea and compare. Also your conclusion should be "Just because no one sues doesn't mean it's allowed", since even selling fanart of a franchise is forbid by law. Asia is way more harsh with it btw, a tracing incident can ruin your entire art career.
These are probably some of my favorite videos. The eshop can be vast and sometimes frustrating to navigate and find new games. Having great suggestions and reviews makes it so much better :)
Love that Sunbreak was in this video, I been hooked on the series since I was 11 and it never got much attention in the west. Definitely recommend it and have a go at it, communities getting bigger every day and you'll meet some great people. Keep up the great work and hope you get your boom mic fixed😁👌🏼
Hi wood love ur vids so much! The podcast episode was great yesterday. My birthday is Tommorrow and I'm planning to binge watch your old videos 🙂 thx for the amazing content!
Have you ever played a game called cattails??? Its about a cat you customise being abandoned in a huge forest. You join a colony, each having a wide variety of cats you can marry and have kittens with, a healer and a shop. There are also dens to stay in. You can hunt for prey, fight, explore the huge world, make friends with other colonies, and much more!! It would be really cool to c u play that hidden gem. Anyway, great video, keep it up!!😁😁😁😁😁😁
AI: The Somnium Files is pretty good. It's actually the first visual novel that I've played. I really love that game. I'm currently playing through the sequel to it.
Hate to say it but I had to switch (ha!) from my Satisfye (yay BeatEmUps special edition) to the Skull&co NeoGrip because it does the two additional things I wish Satisfye did: Allow the use of the OLED kickstand (which I love using!!!) and docking WITHOUT removing the grip. I ended up getting the white one cause... OLED ... but they also had a bunch of grip color options: For the three TYPES of grips that come with the case!
I don’t know if Wood has ever talked about it, but Jenny Leclue Detectivu is a really great game (my fourth favorite) that’s on the eshop. Point and click with great characters and an interesting story.
Correction: Dotemu only published TMNT Shredder's Revenge, the Montréal-based Tribute Games are the developers of the game. Maybe they did work a bit on the game, but the bulk of it is all Tribute's doing.
you should check out omori! its an rpg maker style game with some unique mechanics that ive been hooked on lately. its best gone into blind aside from the warning that it is a psychological horror in parts and is about mental health. it has some of the best depictions of depression and anxiety that ive ever seen!! also it got a physical edition from fangamer which is rad!!!
Hey, Wood! I’d really love it if you could check out the eShop game titled “Aer: Memories of Old”. It’s a very basic looking open-world game but it has one incredible feature: flight. It’s such a tranquil and beautifully designed feature that clearly took up most of the developer’s time since the rest of the game is sadly quite lack-luster… I just found it to be such an interesting experience trying to figure out why the game feels like a demo for some sort of BotW 2 feature instead of a full game of its own. Even though the game feels incomplete, I’ve sunk hours just flying around and with the wonderfully designed music in the background, it’s a truly special experience.
Gotta say, those grips being shilled at the beginning are great. I got one a while back and do not have any hand cramps or wrist pain. So good. Oh, and I WISH I was getting paid to say this, seeing as how I got them before this sale. Despite that, they were worth every penny.
Actually, J. K. Simmons is the voice of the Aperture founder and CEO Cave Johnson. The voice of Wheatley is Stephen Merchant, a legend in the comedy industry.
Neon White is my GOTY; gameplay AND story included. I love the ironic intentionally cringe writing and tropes how they are implemented here. The lead developer said the writing and the characters were intentionally written in a goofy way yet I sensed the irony before seeing the interview. The story is so basic and the character voices are distinct and brief enough that I enjoy it. More importantly than the divisive story the gameplay and replayability of Neon White is intense. Once you pick up the controller it clicks very fast and gets it's hooks in you with the Machine Girl soundtrack and beautiful visuals.
@@simonpotticary7658 60 fps haven't seen a frame drop, it's awesome but if you are going to try to be super serious about getting up on the leaderboards get it on PC to play with mouse and keyboard. I still have gotten on the leaderboards and beaten developer scores but I know on PC that control input difference could make a difference because it comes down to milliseconds of competition. The game makes you want to speedrun it. If you don't care about the top scores as much (I usually don't but this game made me care) the Switch is a no brainer. I think it will be up for some game of the year awards; especially once it comes to other platforms. It looks, runs, sounds, and feels great on Switch and there's plenty of options for controls, visuals, volume etc. including FOV frame of view, audio levels, and gyro controls amongst others.
@@simonpotticary7658 it's my real game of the year by a long shot. I think you'll love it. Just don't go in expecting a great story; think about the story as in watching a movie so bad it's good or just have no expectations at all. Personally I like the story but I think too much of a fuss has been made about it and the meta intentions of the writers have gone over a lot of people's heads who suspected the story to be serious. In any case the beautiful art style and lighting fast and tight gameplay more than makes up for it. It's platforming but it doesn't require precise jumps as much as it does strategizing the next jump point and figuring out how to play the cards you have to beat the level as fast as possible. I could really talk all day about the game and I do WANT to make a video if I wasn't so lazy. Maybe I'll do one if I get motivated to start doing videos again; if I do it's Neon White that will be the reason.
great video! great recommendations! i love you!! just one thing: would you please add title cards or like a banner with the name of each game when you start talking about it along with a list of the games in the description (or, even better, titled chapters with the name of each game). that would be super helpful because some times i don’t quite understand what you’re saying or how to spell a game. thank you so much!! great content!!
Hey wood! I’ve been watching your channel for years now, love you and your content brotha. Just wanted to suggest chapters or time stamps in videos like this. I frequently rewatched your eshop videos to remember which games I wanted to buy, so, it’d be helpful to see a list in the notes or a time stamp or something.
sorry to not talk about the games, BUT THE CASTLE video he used!!! The caste is called Spiš castle and it's from my home country Slovakia! 19:56 this just made me so happy as I'm so far from home
I remember you crapping on Little Noah during the direct. Im happy you actually tried it and had a change of heart! I do remember your hair from about a year ago and you’re right it was a sight to behold😂
Honestly, the changes to Rise with Sunbreak, while subtle, were so much better, it changed the game for me. I got bored of Rise very quick. But I can't put Sunbreak down and i see myself playing this almost as much if not as much as I did MH World
